Malachie 4
1 Car le voici venir ce jour, brûlant comme une fournaise; impies et ouvriers d’iniquité seront tous comme du chaume, et ce jour qui vient va les consumer, dit l’Eternel-Cebaot, il n’épargnera d’eux ni racine ni rameau.
For behold, the day commeth that shall burne as an ouen, and all the proude, yea, and all that doe wickedly, shall be stubble, and the day that commeth, shall burne them vp, sayeth the Lord of hostes, and shall leaue them neither roote nor branche.
2 Mais pour vous qui révérez mon nom, se lèvera le soleil d’équité, portant le salut dans ses rayons; et vous paraîtrez, et vous vous ébattrez comme de jeunes taureaux sortant de l’étable.
But vnto you that feare my Name, shall the sunne of righteousnesse arise, and health shall be vnder his wings, and ye shall goe forth, and growe vp as fat calues.
3 Et vous foulerez les méchants qui se réduiront en poussière sous la plante de vos pieds au jour que je prépare, dit l’Eternel-Cebaot.
And ye shall treade downe the wicked: for they shall be dust vnder the soles of your feete in the day that I shall doe this, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
4 Souvenez-vous de la Loi de Moïse, mon serviteur, à qui j’ai signifié, sur le Horeb, des statuts et des ordonnances pour tout Israël.
Remember the lawe of Moses my seruant, which I commanded vnto him in Horeb for all Israel with the statutes and iudgements.
5 Or, je vous enverrai Elie, le prophète, avant qu’arrive le jour de l’Eternel, jour grand et redoutable!
Beholde, I will sende you Eliiah the Prophet before the comming of the great and fearefull day of the Lord.
6 Lui ramènera le cœur des pères à leurs enfants, et le cœur des enfants à leurs pères, de peur que je n’intervienne et ne frappe ce pays d’anathème.
And he shall turne the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with cursing.
