Lévitique 24
1 L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
2 "Ordonne aux enfants d’Israël de te choisir une huile pure d’olives concassées, pour le luminaire, afin d’alimenter les lampes en permanence.
'Command the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee pure olive oil, beaten, for the lamp, to cause a light to go up continually;
3 C’Est en dehors du voile qui abrite le Statut, dans la Tente d’assignation, qu’Aaron les entretiendra depuis le soir jusqu’au matin, devant l’Éternel, constamment: règle perpétuelle pour vos générations.
at the outside of the vail of the testimony in the tent of meeting doth Aaron arrange it from evening till morning before Jehovah continually — a statute age-during to your generations;
4 C’Est sur le candélabre d’or pur qu’il entretiendra ces lampes, devant l’Éternel, constamment.
by the pure candlestick he doth arrange the lights before Jehovah continually.
5 Tu prendras aussi de la fleur de farine, et tu en cuiras douze gâteaux, chaque gâteau contenant deux dixièmes.
'And thou hast taken flour, and hast baked twelve cakes with it, two tenth deals are in the one cake,
6 Tu les disposeras en deux rangées, six par rangée, sur la table d’or pur, devant l’Éternel.
and thou hast set them two ranks (six in the rank) on the pure table before Jehovah,
7 Tu mettras sur chaque rangée de l’encens pur, qui servira de mémorial aux pains, pour être brûlé en l’honneur de l’Éternel.
and thou hast put on the rank pure frankincense, and it hath been to the bread for a memorial, a fire-offering to Jehovah.
8 Régulièrement chaque jour de sabbat, on les disposera devant l’Éternel, en permanence, de la part des enfants d’Israël: c’est une alliance perpétuelle.
'On each sabbath-day he arrangeth it before Jehovah continually, from the sons of Israel — a covenant age-during;
9 Ce pain appartiendra à Aaron et à ses fils, qui le mangeront en lieu saint; car c’est une chose éminemment sainte, qui lui revient sur les offrandes de l’Éternel, comme portion invariable."
and it hath been to Aaron, and to his sons, and they have eaten it in the holy place, for it [is] most holy to him, from the fire-offerings of Jehovah — a statute age-during.'
10 Il arriva que le fils d’une femme israélite, lequel avait pour père un Egyptien, était allé se mêler aux enfants d’Israël; une querelle s’éleva dans le camp, entre ce fils d’une Israélite et un homme d’Israël.
And a son of an Israelitish woman goeth out (and he [is] son of an Egyptian man), in the midst of the sons of Israel, and strive in the camp do the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel,
11 Le fils de la femme israélite proféra, en blasphémant, le Nom sacré; on le conduisit devant Moïse. Le nom de sa mère était Chelomith, fille de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan.
and the son of the Israelitish woman execrateth the Name, and revileth; and they bring him in unto Moses; and his mother's name [is] Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;
12 On le mit en lieu sûr, jusqu’à ce qu’une décision intervînt de la part de l’Éternel.
and he causeth him to rest in charge — to explain to them by the mouth of Jehovah.
13 Et l’Éternel parla ainsi à Moïse:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
14 "Qu’on emmène le blasphémateur hors du camp; que tous ceux qui l’ont entendu imposent leurs mains sur sa tête, et que toute la communauté le lapide.
'Bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp; and all those hearing have laid their hands on his head, and all the company have stoned him.
15 Parle aussi aux enfants d’Israël en ces termes: quiconque outrage son Dieu portera la peine de son crime.
'And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When any man revileth his God — then he hath borne his sin;
16 Pour celui qui blasphème nominativement l’Éternel, il doit être mis à mort, toute la communauté devra le lapider; étranger comme indigène, s’il a blasphémé nominativement, il sera puni de mort.
and he who is execrating the name of Jehovah is certainly put to death; all the company do certainly cast stones at him; as a sojourner so a native, in his execrating the Name, is put to death.
17 Si quelqu’un fait périr une créature humaine, il sera mis à mort.
'And when a man smiteth any soul of man, he is certainly put to death.
18 S’Il fait périr un animal, il le paiera, corps pour corps.
'And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, body for body.
19 Et si quelqu’un fait une blessure à son prochain, comme il a agi lui-même on agira à son égard:
'And when a man putteth a blemish in his fellow, as he hath done so it is done to him;
20 fracture pour fracture, œil pour œil, dent pour dent; selon la lésion qu’il aura faite à autrui, ainsi lui sera-t-il fait.
breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he putteth a blemish in a man so it is done in him.
21 Qui tue un animal doit le payer, et qui tue un homme doit mourir.
'And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, and he who smiteth [the life of] man is put to death;
22 Même législation vous régira, étrangers comme nationaux; car je suis l’Éternel, votre Dieu à tous."
one judgment is to you; as a sojourner so is a native; for I [am] Jehovah your God.'
23 Moïse le redit aux enfants d’Israël. On emmena le blasphémateur hors du camp, et on le tua à coups de pierres; et les enfants d’Israël firent comme l’Éternel avait ordonné à Moïse.
And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and they bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones; and the sons of Israel have done as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
