Lévitique 23
1 L’Éternel parla ainsi à Moïse:
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Parle aux enfants d’Israël et dis-leur les solennités de l’Éternel, que vous devez célébrer comme convocations saintes. Les voici, mes solennités:
“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The set feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts.
3 pendant six jours on se livrera au travail, mais le septième jour il y aura repos, repos solennel pour une sainte convocation: vous ne ferez aucun travail. Ce sera le Sabbat de l’Éternel, dans toutes vos habitations.
“‘Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no kind of work. It is a Sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings.
4 Voici les solennités de l’Éternel, convocations saintes, que vous célébrerez en leur saison.
“‘These are the set feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season.
5 Au premier mois, le quatorze du mois, vers le soir, la Pâque sera offerte au Seigneur;
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is the LORD’s Passover.
6 et au quinzième jour de ce mois, ce sera la fête des Azymes pour le Seigneur: durant sept jours vous mangerez des azymes.
On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to the LORD. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
7 Le premier jour, il y aura pour vous convocation sainte: vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile.
In the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work.
8 Vous offrirez un sacrifice au Seigneur sept jours de suite. Le septième jour, il y aura convocation sainte: vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile."
But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD seven days. In the seventh day is a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work.’”
9 L’Éternel parla ainsi à Moïse:
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
10 "Parle aux enfants d’Israël et dis-leur: quand vous serez arrivés dans le pays que je vous accorde, et que vous y ferez la moisson, vous apporterez un ômer des prémices de votre moisson au pontife,
“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.
11 lequel balancera cet ômer devant le Seigneur, pour vous le rendre propice; c’est le lendemain de la fête que le pontife le balancera.
He shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you. On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
12 Vous offrirez, le jour du balancement de l’ômer, un agneau sans défaut, âgé d’un an, en holocauste à l’Éternel.
On the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb without defect a year old for a burnt offering to the LORD.
13 Son oblation: deux dixièmes de fleur de farine pétrie à l’huile, à brûler en l’honneur de l’Éternel comme odeur agréable; et sa libation: un quart de hîn de vin.
The meal offering with it shall be two tenths of an efah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD for a pleasant aroma; and the drink offering with it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.
14 Vous ne mangerez ni pain, ni grains torréfiés, ni gruau, jusqu’à ce jour même, jusqu’à ce que vous ayez apporté l’offrande de votre Dieu; statut perpétuel pour vos générations, dans toutes vos demeures.
You must not eat bread, or roasted grain, or fresh grain, until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God. This is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
15 Puis, vous compterez chacun, depuis le lendemain de la fête, depuis le jour où vous aurez offert l’ômer du balancement, sept semaines, qui doivent être entières;
“‘You shall count from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.
16 vous compterez jusqu’au lendemain de la septième semaine, soit cinquante jours, et vous offrirez à l’Éternel une oblation nouvelle.
The next day after the seventh Sabbath you shall count fifty days; and you shall offer a new meal offering to the LORD.
17 Devos habitations, vous apporterez deux pains destinés au balancement, qui seront faits de deux dixièmes de farine fine et cuits à pâte levée: ce seront des prémices pour l’Éternel.
You shall bring out of your habitations two loaves of bread for a wave offering made of two tenths of an efah of fine flour. They shall be baked with yeast, for first fruits to the LORD.
18 Vous offrirez, avec ces pains, sept agneaux sans défaut, âgés d’un an, un jeune taureau et deux béliers; ils formeront un holocauste pour le Seigneur, avec leurs oblations et leurs libations, sacrifice d’une odeur agréable à l’Éternel.
You shall present with the bread seven lambs without defect a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to the LORD, with their meal offering and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to the LORD.
19 Vous ajouterez un bouc pour le péché, et deux agneaux d’un an comme sacrifice rémunératoire.
You shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
20 Le pontife les balancera, avec le pain des prémices, devant l’Éternel, ainsi que deux des agneaux: ils seront consacrés à l’Éternel, au profit du pontife.
The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
21 Et vous célébrerez ce même jour: ce sera pour vous une convocation sainte, où vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile; statut invariable, dans toutes vos demeures, pour vos générations.
You shall make proclamation on the same day that there shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall do no regular work. This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
22 Et quand vous ferez la moisson dans votre pays, tu laisseras la Benda inachevée au bout de ton champ, et tu ne ramasseras point les glanes de ta moisson. Abandonne-les au pauvre et à l’étranger: je suis l’Éternel votre Dieu."
“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not wholly reap into the corners of your field. You must not gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am the LORD your God.’”
23 L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
24 "Parle ainsi aux enfants d’Israël: au septième mois, le premier jour du mois, aura lieu pour vous un repos solennel; commémoration par une fanfare, convocation sainte.
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be a solemn rest for you, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a holy convocation.
25 Vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile, et vous offrirez un sacrifice à l’Éternel."
You shall do no regular work. You shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.’”
26 L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
27 "Mais au dixième jour de ce septième mois, qui est le jour des Expiations, il y aura pour vous convocation sainte: vous mortifierez vos personnes, vous offrirez un sacrifice à l’Éternel,
“However on the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippur. It shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall afflict yourselves and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.
28 et vous ne ferez aucun travail en ce même jour; car c’est un jour d’expiation, destiné à vous réhabiliter devant l’Éternel votre Dieu.
You shall do no kind of work in that same day, for it is Yom Kippur, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God.
29 Aussi, toute personne qui ne se mortifiera pas en ce même jour, sera supprimée de son peuple;
For whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day shall be cut off from his people.
30 et toute personne qui fera un travail quelconque en ce même jour, j’anéantirai cette personne-là du milieu de son peuple.
Whoever does any kind of work in that same day, I will destroy that person from among his people.
31 Ne faites donc aucune sorte de travail: loi perpétuelle pour vos générations, dans toutes vos demeures.
You shall do no kind of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 Ce jour est pour vous un chômage absolu, où vous mortifierez vos personnes; dès le neuf du mois au soir, depuis un soir jusqu’à l’autre, vous observerez votre chômage."
It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.”
33 L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
34 "Parle ainsi aux enfants d’Israël: le quinzième jour de ce septième mois aura lieu la fête des Tentes, durant sept jours, en l’honneur de l’Éternel.
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of booths for seven days to the LORD.
35 Le premier jour, convocation sainte: vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile.
On the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work.
36 Sept jours durant, vous offrirez des sacrifices à l’Éternel. Le huitième jour, vous aurez encore une convocation sainte, et vous offrirez un sacrifice à l’Éternel: c’est une fête de clôture, vous n’y ferez aucune œuvre servile.
Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no regular work.
37 Ce sont là les solennités de l’Éternel, que vous célébrerez comme convocations saintes, en offrant des sacrifices à l’Éternel, holocaustes et oblations, victimes et libations, selon le rite de chaque jour,
“‘These are the appointed feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day—
38 indépendamment des sabbats de l’Éternel; indépendamment aussi de vos dons, et de toutes vos offrandes votives ou volontaires, dont vous ferez hommage à l’Éternel.
in addition to the Sabbaths of the LORD, and in addition to your gifts, and in addition to all your vows, and in addition to all your free will offerings, which you give to the LORD.
39 Mais le quinzième jour du septième mois, quand vous aurez rentré la récolte de la terre, vous fêterez la fête du Seigneur, qui durera sept jours; le premier jour il y aura chômage, et chômage le huitième jour.
“‘So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD seven days. On the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.
40 Vous prendrez, le premier jour, du fruit de l’arbre hadar, des branches de palmier, des rameaux de l’arbre aboth et des saules de rivière; et vous vous réjouirez, en présence de l’Éternel votre Dieu, pendant sept jours.
You shall take on the first day the fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
41 Vous la fêterez, cette fête du Seigneur, sept jours chaque année, règle immuable pour vos générations; c’est au septième mois que vous la solenniserez.
You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations. You shall keep it in the seventh month.
42 Vous demeurerez dans des tentes durant sept jours; tout indigène en Israël demeurera sous la tente,
You shall dwell in temporary shelters for seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in temporary shelters,
43 afin que vos générations sachent que j’ai donné des tentes pour demeure aux enfants d’Israël, quand je les ai fait sortir du pays d’Egypte, moi, l’Éternel, votre Dieu!"
that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in temporary shelters when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’”
44 Et Moïse exposa les solennités de l’Éternel aux enfants d’Israël.
So Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD.
