Isaïe 4

1 En ce jour, sept femmes s’attacheront à un seul homme et lui diront: "Nous voulons subvenir nous-mêmes à notre nourriture et pourvoir à nos vêtements, donne-nous seulement ton nom, mets fin à notre déshonneur."

In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, “We will eat our own bread and provide our own clothes. Just let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace!”

2 En ce jour, la plante du Seigneur sera revêtue d’éclat et de splendeur, et le fruit du pays fera l’orgueil et la gloire des débris d’Israël,

On that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of Israel’s survivors.

3 et on dénommera saint quiconque aura été sauvé dans Sion et épargné dans Jérusalem, quiconque aura été marqué pour la vie à Jérusalem.

Whoever remains in Zion and whoever is left in Jerusalem will be called holy— all in Jerusalem who are recorded among the living—

4 Une fois que le Seigneur aura lavé la souillure des filles de Sion et nettoyé Jérusalem du sang qui la tache, en y faisant passer un souffle de justice, un vent de destruction,

when the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the bloodstains from the heart of Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.

5 alors l’Eternel créera sur toute l’étendue de la montagne de Sion et de ses lieux d’assemblée une nuée et une vapeur pendant le jour et, pendant la nuit, l’éclat d’un feu flamboyant; oui, tout endroit vénéré sera abrité par un dais.

Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud of smoke by day and a glowing flame of fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a canopy,

6 Il y aura comme une tente donnant, le long du jour, de l’ombre contre la chaleur, servant d’asile et de refuge contre l’orage et la pluie.

a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and the rain.
