Ézéchiel 47

1 II me ramena à l’entrée de l’édifice, et voici que des eaux sortaient de dessous le seuil de l’édifice du côté de l’Est, car le front de l’édifice fait face à l’Est; et ces eaux descendaient en-dessous du côté droit de l’édifice, au Sud de l’autel.

And he brought me back again unto the door of the house: and, behold, water was issuing out from under the threshold of the house eastward; for the front of the house stood toward the east; and the water came down from under [the threshold], from the right side of the house, to the south of the altar.

2 Il me fit sortir par la porte du Nord et me fit tourner par le chemin extérieur jusqu’à la porte extérieure, située dans le chemin qui regarde vers l’Orient, et voici que des eaux coulaient du côté droit de la porte.

Then did he bring me out by the way of the gate northwards and led me about the way without unto the outer gate by the way that looked eastward: and, behold, the water was running on the right side.

3 Lorsque l’homme fut sorti vers l’Est, tenant un cordeau dans la main, Il mesura mille coudées et me fit traverser l’eau: cette eau venait aux chevilles.

When the man went forth eastward, having the measuring-line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he led me through the water, the water reaching to the ankles.

4 Il en mesura encore mille et me fit traverser l’eau: celle-ci arrivait aux genoux; il en mesura encore mille et me fit traverser: l’eau allait jusqu’aux reins.

Again he measured a thousand [cubits], and led me through the water, the water reaching to the knees. Again he measured a thousand [cubits], and led me through, the water reaching to the loins.

5 Il en mesura encore mille: c’était un torrent que je ne pouvais traverser, car les eaux s’étaient accrues, on y perdait pied: c’était un torrent impossible à traverser.

And he measured again a thousand [cubits], it being a stream that I could not wade through; for the water was increased, being water fit to swim in, a stream that could not be waded through.

6 Il me dit: "As-tu vu, fils de l’homme?" Puis, il m’entraîna et me ramena au bord du torrent.

And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this: Then did he lead me, and caused me to return to the bank of the stream.

7 Lorsque je revins, voici qu’il y avait sur le bord du torrent un grand nombre d’arbres, des deux côtés.

Now when I returned, behold, there were at the banks of the stream very many trees, on the one side and on the other.

8 Et il me dit: "Ces eaux se dirigent vers le district oriental, et, après être descendues dans la plaine, elles se jettent dans la mer, dans la mer aux eaux infectes, qui seront ainsi assainies.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the eastern district, and go down into the plain, and fall into the sea, [the waters] being carried forth into the sea, so that the waters shall be healed.

9 Et alors tous les êtres animés qui y grouillent, partout où arriveront les flots du torrent, ils vivront, et le poisson sera extrêmement abondant; ces eaux une fois venues là, celles de la mer seront assainies, et vivra tout ce qui sera en contact avec le torrent.

And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the double-stream shall come, shall live: and the fish shall be [therein] in great abundance; for when this water shall have come thither, [the waters of the sea] shall be healed, and every thing shall live whither the stream cometh.

10 Alors les pêcheurs se tiendront sur ses bords, d’En-Ghedi jusqu’à En-Eglaim; il y aura là des étendoirs de filets. Les poissons s’y trouveront, selon leurs espèces, comme les poissons de la Grande Mer, extrêmement nombreux.

And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand by it; from 'En-gedi even unto 'En-'eglayim, there shall be places for the spreading out of nets: after their various kinds shall the fish thereof be, like the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many.

11 Cependant ses mares et ses bas-fonds ne seront pas assainis: ils seront destinés à produire du sel.

But its swamps and its lagoons shall not be healed, for [the production of] salt are they destined.

12 Et, près du torrent, sur ses bords, des deux côtés, s’élèveront toutes sortes d’arbres fruitiers, dont les feuilles ne se flétriront pas et dont les fruits ne s’épuiseront point. Chaque mois, ils donneront de nouveaux fruits, car leurs eaux sortent du sanctuaire: leur fruit servira de nourriture et leurs feuilles de remèdes."

And by the stream upon its banks, on this side and on that side, shall grow up all kinds of trees for food, the leaves of which shall not fade, and the fruit of which shall not come to an end, every month shall they bring forth new ripe fruit; because its water is that which issueth out of the sanctuary; and their fruit shall serve for food, and their leaves for remedies.

13 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Voici la délimitation du pays que vous attribuerez en héritage aux douze tribus d’Israël: Joseph aura deux parts.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, This shall be the boundary, whereby ye shall divide out the land unto the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 Vous en hériterez l’un à l’égal de l’autre, car j’ai juré de le donner à vos pères, et ce pays va vous échoir en partage.

And ye shall inherit it, every one like the other, [the land] concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for an inheritance.

15 Voici donc les frontières du pays: du côté du Nord, depuis la grande Mer, la route de Hetlôn jusque vers Cedad,

And this shall be the boundary of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, the road to Chethlon, as far as to Zedad;

16 Hamat, Bérota, Sibraïm, entre la frontière de Damas et la frontière de Hamat; Hacerhatticôn vers la frontière de Havran.

Chamath, Berothah, Sibrayim, which is between the boundary of Damascus and the boundary of Chamath; Chazar-hattichon, which is by the boundary of Chavran.

17 La frontière s’étendra donc depuis la mer jusqu’à Haçar-Enon, la frontière de Damas, Çafôn au Nord et la frontière de Hamat: telle sera la limite du côté Nord.

And the boundary shall be from the sea to Chazar-'enon, the boundary of Damascus, and the northern part on the north, and the boundary of Chamath. And this is the north side.

18 La limite du côté de l’Est s’étend entre Havran et Damas, entre Galaad et le pays d’Israël, le long du Jourdain; vous mesurerez depuis la frontière jusqu’à la mer orientale: telle sera la limite du côté Est.

And the east side shall ye measure between Chavran and Damascus [on the one side], and between Gil'ad and the land of Israel [on the other side] by the Jordan, from the [north] boundary unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

19 La limite du côté du Sud, au Midi, ira depuis Tamar jusqu’aux eaux de Méribot-Kadêch, le long du torrent jusqu’à la grande Mer: telle sera la limite du côté méridional, au Sud.

And the south side; on the south, from Thamar even to the waters of contention at Kadesh, toward the brook [flowing] into the Great Sea. And this is the south side on the south.

20 La limite du côté de l’Ouest, ce sera la grande Mer depuis la frontière Sud jusque droit dans la direction de Hamat: telle sera la limite du côté Ouest.

And the west side shall be the great sea from the [southern] boundary, as far as straight up to Chamath. This is the west side.

21 Vous partagerez ce pays entre vous, selon les tribus d’Israël.

And ye shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.

22 Et vous aurez à l’attribuer en héritage à vous et aux étrangers séjournant parmi vous, qui auront engendré des enfants parmi vous. Ils seront pour vous—comme l’indigène parmi les enfants d’Israël; avec vous ils participeront à l’héritage au milieu des tribus d’Israël.

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance among yourselves, and to the strangers that sojourn in the midst of you, who shall have begotten children in the midst of you; and they shall be unto you as the native born among the children of Israel: with you shall they obtain an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.

23 Et ce sera dans la tribu même où l’étranger sera domicilié que vous lui donnerez sa part d’héritage, dit le Seigneur Dieu."

And it shall come to pass that in whatever tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord Eternal.
