Ézéchiel 13
1 La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 "Fils de l’homme, prophétise à l’adresse des prophètes d’Israël qui prophétisent, et dis à ceux qui s’intitulent prophètes: Ecoutez la parole de l’Eternel.
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say you unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear all of you the word of the LORD;
3 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Malheur aux prophètes indignes qui suivent leur propre inspiration et des visions qu’ils n’ont pas eues.
Thus says the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4 Comme des renards parmi des décombres étaient tes prophètes; ô Israël
O Israel, your prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5 Vous n’êtes pas montés sur les brèches, vous n’avez pas élevé de clôture autour de la maison d’Israël, afin de tenir bon pendant le combat, au jour de l’Eternel.
All of you have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
6 Ils ont annoncé des visions fausses et des oracles mensongers, eux qui disaient: "Parole de l’Eternel!" alors que Dieu ne les avait pas envoyés, et qui se flattaient que la prédiction s’accomplirait.
They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD says: and the LORD has not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7 Ne sont-ce pas des visions fausses que vous avez annoncées et des oracles de mensonge que vous avez proclamés, en disant: "Parole de l’Eternel!" alors que je n’avais pas parlé?
Have all of you not seen a vain vision, and have all of you not spoken a lying divination, whereas all of you say, The LORD says it; although it be I have not spoken?
8 C’Est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, parce que vous avez parlé faussement et annoncé des visions mensongères, c’est pourquoi je vais m’en prendre à vous, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because all of you have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, says the Lord GOD.
9 Et ma main pèsera sur les prophètes qui annoncent des visions fausses et des oracles mensongers; ils ne seront pas du conseil de mon peuple, ils ne seront pas inscrits sur les rôles de la maison d’Israël, et ils ne viendront pas sur le territoire d’Israël, et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur Dieu.
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and all of you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
10 Parce que, oui parce qu’ils ont égaré mon peuple en disant: "Paix!" quand il n’y a point de paix, et qu’alors qu’il bâtit un mur, eux l’enduisent d’un léger badigeon.
Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with plaster:
11 Dis à ceux qui l’enduisent d’un léger badigeon qu’il tombera; il y aura une pluie torrentielle, et vous, les pierres de grêle, vous tomberez, et un vent de tempête éclatera.
Say unto them which daub it with plaster, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and all of you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12 Et voici que le mur s’écroule; ne vous dira-t-on pas: "Où est l’enduit que vous avez répandu?"
Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith all of you have daubed it?
13 C’Est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, je ferai éclater un vent de tempête dans ma fureur, une pluie torrentielle tombera par ma colère, et des grêlons par ma fureur pour amener la ruine.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
14 Je démolirai le mur que vous avez couvert de badigeon, je le raserai jusqu’au sol et ses fondations seront mises à nu, il tombera et vous y périrez et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel.
So will I break down the wall that all of you have daubed with plaster, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and all of you shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
15 J’Épuiserai ma fureur sur le mur et sur ceux qui l’ont enduit de mortier et je vous dirai: Il n’est plus, le mur, ils ne sont plus, ceux qui l’ont enduit,
Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with plaster, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
16 ô vous, prophètes d’Israël qui prophétisez sur Jérusalem, et qui lui révélez des visions de paix, quand il n’y a point de paix, dit le Seigneur Dieu!
To know, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, says the Lord GOD.
17 Et toi, fils de l’homme, tourne ton visage vers les filles de ton peuple, qui s’érigent en prophétesses de leur chef, et prophétise contre elles.
Likewise, you son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy you against them,
18 Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Malheur à celles qui cousent des coussinets pour toutes les articulations des mains, et confectionnent des coiffes pour les têtes de toute taille afin de capter les âmes; vous iriez à la chasse des âmes dans mon peuple et vos âmes à vous, vous les feriez vivre?
And say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will all of you hunt the souls of my people, and will all of you save the souls alive that come unto you?
19 Et vous m’avez déshonoré auprès de mon peuple pour des poignées d’orge et pour des morceaux de pain en vue de faire mourir les âmes qui ne devaient pas mourir et de faire vivre les âmes qui ne devaient point vivre, en mentant à mon peuple, qui écoute des mensonges.
And will all of you pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
20 C’Est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Me voici contre vos coussinets, par lesquels vous faites la chasse aux âmes comme à des oiseaux; je les déchirerai de dessus vos bras et je ferai évader les âmes auxquelles vous donnez la chasse comme à des oiseaux.
Wherefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith all of you there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that all of you hunt to make them fly.
21 Je lacérerai vos coiffes, et je sauverai mon peuple de vos mains; ils ne seront plus entre vos mains comme un gibier et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel.
Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
22 Parce que vous avez contristé le coeur du juste par le mensonge, tandis que moi, je ne l’ai pas affligé, et que vous avez affermi le courage du méchant, pour l’empêcher de se repentir de sa mauvaise voie et de sauver sa vie.
Because with lies all of you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
23 Aussi ne révélerez-vous plus de fausses visions ni ne prononcerez plus d’oracles; je sauverai mon peuple de votre main, et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel."
Therefore all of you shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
