Ézéchiel 12
1 La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
The word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 "Fils de l’homme, c’est au milieu de la maison de rébellion que tu demeures, chez ceux qui ont des yeux pour voir et n’ont pas vu, des oreilles pour entendre et n’ont pas entendu, car c’est une maison de rébellion.
Son of man, in the midst of a rebellious family art thou dwelling, who have eyes to see, and see not; who have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious family.
3 Or toi, fils de l’homme, fais-toi des ustensiles d’exil et exile-toi, de jour, à leurs yeux; tu t’exileras de ta résidence vers une autre localité, à leurs yeux; peut-être s’en apercevront-ils, car ils sont une maison de rébellion.
But thou, O son of man, prepare for thyself vessels for going into exile, and wander away by day before their eyes; and thou shalt wander away from thy place to another place before their eyes: perhaps they may become aware that they are a rebellious family.
4 Et, de jour, tu déposeras dehors tes ustensiles, comme des ustensiles d’exil, à leurs yeux, et toi-même tu sortiras, le soir, à leurs yeux, comme on part pour l’exil.
Then shalt thou carry forth thy vessels, like vessels of exile, by day before their eyes: and thou shalt go forth at evening before their eyes, as they do that go forth into exile.
5 A leurs yeux, creuse-toi un trou dans le mur et fais tout sortir par là.
Before their eyes break a hole through the wall, and carry [them] through it.
6 A leurs yeux, tu les porteras sur l’épaule, après les avoir fait sortir dans l’obscurité; tu te cacheras la face, pour ne pas voir la terre, car je fais de toi un symbole pour la maison d’Israël."
Before their [eyes] shalt thou bear them upon thy shoulders, in the dark shalt thou carry them forth: thy face shalt thou cover, that thou mayest not see the ground; for as a token have I set thee unto the house of Israel.
7 Et je fis comme j’en avais reçu l’ordre, je fis sortir mes ustensiles comme des ustensiles d’exil, de jour, et, le soir, je me creusai un trou dans le mur, avec la main; dans l’obscurité, je les fis sortir et je les portai sur l’épaule, à leurs yeux.
And I did so as I had been commanded; my vessels I carried forth by day, like vessels of exile, and in the evening I broke a hole for myself through the wall with my hand: in the dark I brought them forth, and I bore them upon my shoulder before their eyes.
8 Et la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée le matin, en ces termes:
And the word of the Lord came unto me in the morning, saying,
9 "Fils de l’homme, ne t’ont-ils pas dit, ceux de la maison d’Israël, de la maison de rébellion: Que fais-tu?
Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the rebellious family, said unto thee, What doest thou?
10 Réponds-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: c’est pour le prince, cette prédiction, à Jérusalem, et pour toute la maison d’Israël qui s’y trouve.
Say thou unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, For the prince in Jerusalem is the doom, and for all the house of Israel, [and those] that are in the midst of them.
11 Dis-leur: Je suis votre symbole; comme j’ai fait, ainsi il leur sera fait, ils iront en exil, en captivité.
Say, I am your token; just as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: into exile, into captivity, shall they wander.
12 Et le prince qui est au milieu d’eux portera ses ustensiles sur l’épaule dans l’obscurité et sortira; on fera un trou dans le mur pour le faire sortir par là; il se couvrira la face, en sorte qu’il ne verra pas de ses yeux la terre.
And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; through the wall shall they break a hole to carry [things] through it: his face shall he cover up, that he may not see the ground with his eyes.
13 Et j’étendrai mon filet sur lui et il sera pris dans mon panneau, et je le mènerai à Babylone, dans le pays des Chaldéens, mais il ne la verra pas et il y mourra.
And I will spread out my net over him, and he shall be caught in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon into the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, and there shall he die.
14 Et tous ceux qui l’entourent, sa garde et toutes ses troupes, je les disséminerai à tous les vents et je tirerai le glaive derrière eux.
And all that are round about him, those who assist him, and all the wings of his armies will I disperse toward every wind; and the sword will I draw out after them.
15 Ils sauront ainsi que je suis l’Eternel, quand je les disperserai parmi les nations et que je les disséminerai dans les pays.
And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.
16 Et je conserverai un petit nombre d’entre eux échappés au glaive, à la famine et à la peste, afin qu’ils racontent toutes leurs abominations chez les peuples où ils viendront, et ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel."
But I will leave of them men few in number from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence: in order that they may relate all their abominations among the nations whither they shall have come; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
17 La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
18 "Fils de l’homme, ton pain, tu le mangeras avec tremblement, et ton eau, tu la boiras avec frisson et angoisse.
Son of man, thy bread shalt thou eat with quaking, and thy water shalt thou drink with trembling and with anxious care.
19 Et tu diras au peuple du pays: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu aux habitants de Jérusalem, au pays d’Israël: leur pain, ils le mangeront avec angoisse, et leur eau, ils la boiront dans la stupeur, de façon que le pays soit désolé privé de son abondance, à cause de la violence de tous ses habitants.
And thou shalt say unto the people of the land, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [and] concerning the land of Israel, Their bread shall they eat with anxious care, and their water shall they drink with confusion, for the cause that her land will be desolate, deprived of its plenteousness because of the violence of all those that dwell therein.
20 Les villes habitées seront dévastées et le pays sera une solitude, et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel."
And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid in ruins, and the land shall be made desolate: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
21 La parole de Dieu me fut adressée en ces termes:
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
22 "Fils de l’homme, quel est ce dicton que vous proférez là en terre d’Israël: "Les jours s’allongent et toute vision s’évanouit?"
Son of man, what sort of proverb is that which ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are lasting long, and lost is every vision?
23 C’Est pourquoi, dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: J’Abolis ce dicton; on ne s’en servira plus en Israël; mais dis-leur au contraire: Les jours sont proches, et toute prophétie s’accomplira;
Therefore say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will cause this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but speak unto them, The days are coming nigh, and the word of every vision.
24 car il n’y aura plus du tout de prophétie mensongère, ni d’oracle fallacieux dans la maison d’Israël.
For there shall be no more any false vision and a deceptive divination within the house of Israel.
25 Car c’est moi, I’Eternel qui dirai la parole que je veux dire, et qui s’accomplira sans être plus différée, mais c’est de vos jours, maison de rébellion, que je dirai la parole que j’exécuterai, dit le Seigneur Dieu."
For I am the Lord, —I do speak, and whatever word I do speak shall be done; it shall not be delayed any more; for in your days, O rebellious family, will I speak the word, and I will execute it, saith the Lord Eternal.
26 La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
27 "Fils de l’homme, voici que la maison d’Israël dit: La vision qu’il perçoit concerne une époque reculée, c’est pour des temps éloignés qu’il prophétise.
Son of man, behold, the house of Israel say, The vision that he foreseeth is for distant days, and for times that are far off doth he prophesy.
28 C’Est pourquoi, dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Aucune de mes paroles ne comporte plus de délai; va, toute parole que je prononce s’accomplira," dit le Seigneur Dieu.
Therefore say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, There shall not be delayed any more one of all my words; but whatever word I do speak shall be done, saith the Lord Eternal.
