Ézéchiel 11
1 L’Esprit m’enleva et m’amena à la porte orientale du temple de l’Eternel, qui regarde vers l’Est, et voici qu’il y avait à l’entrée de la porte vingt-cinq hommes, et je vis parmi eux Yaazania, fils d’Azzour, et Pelatiahou, fils de Benaïahou, chefs du peuple.
And lift me up doth a spirit, and it bringeth me in unto the east gate of the house of Jehovah, that is facing the east, and lo, at the opening of the gate twenty and five men, and I see in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, heads of the people.
2 Et il me dit: "Fils de l’homme, voici les hommes qui méditent l’iniquité et qui donnent de mauvais conseils dans cette ville,
And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, these [are] the men who are devising iniquity, and who are giving evil counsel in this city;
3 qui disent: Ce n’est pas de sitôt qu’on bâtira des maisons; elle la ville est le pot et nous sommes la viande.
who are saying, It [is] not near — to build houses, it [is] the pot, and we the flesh.
4 C’Est pourquoi, prophétise sur eux, prophétise, fils de l’homme".
Therefore prophesy concerning them, prophesy, son of man.'
5 Et l’esprit du Seigneur descendit sur moi et il me dit "Dis: Ainsi parle l’Eternel: C’Est de la sorte que vous vous exprimez, maison d’Israël; les inspirations de votre esprit, je les connais.
And fall upon me doth the Spirit of Jehovah, and He saith unto me, 'Say: Thus said Jehovah: Rightly ye have said, O house of Israel, And the steps of your spirit I have known.
6 Vous avez multiplié vos victimes dans cette ville et vous avez rempli ses rues de cadavres.
Ye multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded.
7 C’Est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, ce sont les cadavres que vous y avez mis qui sont la chair, et la ville est le pot, mais vous, je vous en ferai sortir.
Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Your wounded whom ye placed in its midst, They [are] the flesh, and it [is] the pot, And you he hath brought out from its midst.
8 Vous avez peur du glaive, j’amènerai le glaive sur vous, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
A sword ye have feared, And a sword I bring in against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
9 Et je vous ferai sortir du milieu d’elle, je vous livrerai aux mains d’étrangers, et j’exécuterai contre vous des jugements.
And I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments.
10 Vous tomberez par le glaive, c’est sur le territoire d’Israël que je vous jugerai, et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel.
By the sword ye do fall, On the border of Israel I do judge you, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.
11 Elle ne sera pas pour vous un pot où vous serez la viande; sur le territoire d’Israël je vous jugerai.
It is not to you for a pot, Nor are ye in its midst for flesh, At the border of Israel I do judge you.
12 Et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel, de qui vous n’avez pas suivi les décrets, ni exécuté les lois, tandis que vous vous êtes conformés aux lois des peuples qui vous entourent."
And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah, For in My statutes ye have not walked, And My Judgments ye have not done, And according to the judgments of the nations Who are round about you — ye have done!'
13 Or, il arriva que, pendant ma prophétie, Pelatiahou, fils de Benaïa, mourut; je tombai sur ma face, poussai un grand cri et je dis: "Hélas! Seigneur Dieu, veux-tu l’extermination du reste d’Israël?"
And it cometh to pass, at my prophesying, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah is dying, and I fall on my face, and cry — a loud voice — and say, 'Ah, Lord Jehovah, an end Thou art making of the remnant of Israel.'
14 Et la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
15 "Fils de l’homme, ce sont tes frères, tes frères, les gens de ta parenté, et toute la maison d’Israël au complet, à qui les gens de Jérusalem ont dit: "Eloignez-vous d’auprès de l’Eternel, c’est à nous qu’a été donné le pays en héritage."
'Son of man, thy brethren, thy brethren, men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel — all of it, [are] they to whom inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Keep far off from Jehovah;
16 C’Est pourquoi dis: "Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Oui, je les ai éloignés parmi les nations et je les ai dispersés dans les pays et je leur ai été un sanctuaire quelque temps dans les pays où ils sont venus.
it [is] ours, the land hath been given for an inheritance; therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because I put them afar off among nations, And because I scattered them through lands, I also am to them for a little sanctuary, In lands whither they have gone in.
17 Aussi dis: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Je vous rassemblerai d’entre les nations et je vous recueillerai des pays où vous avez été dispersés et je vous donnerai le pays d’Israël.
Therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which ye have been scattered, And I have given to you the ground of Israel.
18 Ils y viendront et ils en enlèveront toutes les abominations et toutes les horreurs.
And they have gone in thither. And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations — out of it.
19 Et je leur donnerai un seul coeur et je mettrai parmi vous un esprit nouveau; j’ôterai le coeur de pierre de leur corps et je leur donnerai un coeur de chair,
And I have given to them one heart, And a new spirit I do give in your midst, And I have turned the heart of stone out of their flesh, And I have given to them a heart of flesh.
20 afin qu’ils suivent mes lois, qu’ils observent mes prescriptions et les accomplissent, et ils seront pour moi un peuple et je serai pour eux un Dieu.
So that in My statutes they walk, And My judgments they keep, and have done them, And they have been to me for a people, And I am to them for God.
21 Et pour ceux dont le coeur se dirige vers leurs abominations et leurs idoles abjectes, je ferai retomber leurs actes sur leur tête, parole du Seigneur Dieu."
As to those whose heart is going unto the heart Of their detestable and their abominable things, Their way on their head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'
22 Et les chérubins levèrent leurs ailes, avec les roues en face d’eux, et la gloire du Dieu d’Israël lés couvrait par en haut.
And the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels [are] over-against them, and the honour of the God of Israel [is] over them above.
23 La gloire de l’Eternel s’éleva d’au-dessus du centre de la ville et se plaça sur la montagne qui est à l’est de la ville.
And the honour of Jehovah goeth up from off the midst of the city, and standeth on the mountain, that [is] on the east of the city.
24 Et l’esprit m’enleva et m’amena en Chaldée, vers les exilés, dans la même vision et par l’esprit de Dieu; puis la vision qui m’était apparue se retira de moi.
And a spirit hath lifted me up, and bringeth me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of God, and go up from off me doth the vision that I have seen;
25 Et je rapportai aux exilés toutes les choses que l’Eternel m’avait révélées.
and I speak unto the Removed all the matters of Jehovah that He hath shewed me.
