Exode 9
1 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: "Rends-toi chez Pharaon et dis-lui: ‘Ainsi a parlé l’Éternel, Dieu des Hébreux: Renvoie mon peuple pour qu’il m’adore.
And he said Yahweh to Moses go to Pharaoh and you will say to him thus he says Yahweh [the] God of the Hebrews let go people my so they may serve me.
2 Que si tu te refuses à le renvoyer, si tu persistes à le retenir,
That except [are] refusing you to let [them] go and still you [are] keeping hold on them.
3 voici: la main de l’Éternel se manifestera sur ton bétail qui est aux champs, chevaux, ânes, chameaux, gros et menu bétail, par une mortalité très grave.
There! [the] hand of Yahweh [is] about to be on livestock your which [is] in the field on the horses on the donkeys on the camels on the cattle and on the sheep a pestilence heavy very.
4 Mais l’Éternel distinguera entre le bétail d’Israël et le bétail de Misraïm et rien ne périra de ce qui est aux enfants d’Israël.’"
And he will separate Yahweh between [the] livestock of Israel and between [the] livestock of Egypt and not it will die of all [that belongs] to [the] people of Israel anything.
5 L’Éternel fixa le jour en disant: "C’Est demain que l’Éternel exécutera cette chose dans le pays."
And he set Yahweh an appointed time saying tomorrow he will do Yahweh the thing this in the land.
6 Et l’Éternel exécuta la chose le lendemain; et tout le bétail des Égyptiens périt et du bétail des Israélites il ne périt pas une bête.
And he did Yahweh the thing this from [the] next day and it died all [the] livestock of Egypt and of [the] livestock of [the] people of Israel not it died one.
7 Pharaon fit vérifier et de fait, pas un animal n’était mort du bétail des Israélites. Cependant le cœur de Pharaon s’obstina et il ne renvoya point le peuple.
And he sent Pharaoh and there! not it had died any of [the] livestock of Israel up to one and it was unresponsive [the] heart of Pharaoh and not he let go the people.
8 L’Éternel dit à Moïse et à Aaron: "Prenez chacun une poignée de suie de fournaise; et que Moïse la lance vers le ciel, à la vue de Pharaon.
And he said Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron take for yourselves [the] fullness of hands your soot of a furnace and he will sprinkle it Moses the heavens towards to [the] eyes of Pharaoh.
9 Elle s’étendra en poussière sur tout le pays d’Égypte et elle s’attachera aux hommes et aux animaux, éclatant en éruption pustuleuse par tout le pays d’Égypte."
And it will become dust over all [the] land of Egypt and it will become on humankind and on the livestock boil[s] breaking out blisters in all [the] land of Egypt.
10 Ils prirent la suie de fournaise, se présentèrent devant Pharaon et Moïse la lança vers le ciel; et elle devint une éruption pustuleuse, qui se développa sur les hommes et sur les animaux.
And they took [the] soot of the furnace and they stood before Pharaoh and he sprinkled it Moses the heavens towards and it became boil[s] blisters breaking out on humankind and on the livestock.
11 Les devins ne purent lutter contre Moïse, à cause de l’éruption car elle les avait frappés eux-mêmes avec toute l’Égypte.
And not they were able the magicians to stand before Moses because of the boil[s] for it was the boil[s] on the magicians and on all Egypt.
12 Mais le Seigneur endurcit le cœur de Pharaon et il ne céda point, ainsi que le Seigneur l’avait dit à Moïse.
And he made strong Yahweh [the] heart of Pharaoh and not he listened to them just as he had said Yahweh to Moses.
13 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: "Demain, de bonne heure, présente-toi, devant Pharaon et dis-lui: ‘Ainsi parle l’Éternel, Dieu des Hébreux: Renvoie mon peuple pour qu’il m’adore!
And he said Yahweh to Moses rise early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh and you will say to him thus he says Yahweh [the] God of the Hebrews let go people my so they may serve me.
14 Car, pour le coup, je déchaînerai tous mes fléaux contre toi-même, contre tes serviteurs, contre ton peuple, afin que tu saches que nul ne m’égale sur toute la terre.
For - at the time this I [am] about to send all plagues my to heart your and on servants your and on people your in order that you may know that there not [is] like me in all the earth.
15 Si à présent j’eusse étendu ma main et fait sévir, sur toi et sur ton peuple, la mortalité, tu aurais disparu de la terre!
For now I stretched out hand my and I struck you and people your with pestilence and you were destroyed from the earth.
16 Mais voici pourquoi je t’ai laissé vivre pour te faire voir ma puissance et pour glorifier mon nom dans le monde.
And but for sake of this I have caused to stand you in order to see you power my and so as to recount name my in all the earth.
17 Tu persistes à t’élever contre mon peuple, en ne le laissant point partir:
Still you [are] exalting yourself on people my to not to let go them.
18 Eh bien! moi, je ferai pleuvoir demain, à pareille heure, une grêle très intense, telle qu’il n’y en aura pas eu de semblable dans l’Égypte depuis son origine jusqu’à ce jour.
Here I [am] about to rain down about this time tomorrow hail heavy very which not it has been like it in Egypt from the day was founded it and until now.
19 Donc, fais rassembler ton bétail et tout ce que tu as dans les champs. Tout homme ou animal qui se trouvera dans les champs et ne sera pas rentré dans les maisons, sera atteint de la grêle et périra.’"
And therefore send bring to refuge livestock your and all that [belongs] to you in the field all the humankind and the livestock which it will be found in the field and not it will be gathered the house towards and it will come down on them the hail and they will die.
20 Ceux des serviteurs de Pharaon qui révéraient la parole du Seigneur mirent à couvert leurs gens et leur bétail dans leurs maisons
The [one] fearing [the] word of Yahweh of [the] servants of Pharaoh he made to flee servants his and livestock his into the houses.
21 mais ceux qui ne tinrent pas compte de la parole du Seigneur laissèrent leurs gens et leur bétail aux champs.
And [the one] who not he set heart his to [the] word of Yahweh and he left servants his and livestock his in the field.
22 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: "Dirige ta main vers le ciel et que la grêle éclate dans tout le pays d’Égypte, sur les hommes, sur les bestiaux, sur toute l’herbe des champs dans le pays d’Égypte."
And he said Yahweh to Moses stretch out hand your to the heavens so may it be hail in all [the] land of Egypt on the humankind and on the livestock and on all [the] vegetation of the field in [the] land of Egypt.
23 Moïse dirigea sa verge vers le ciel et le Seigneur produisit des tonnerres et de la grêle, des feux s’élancèrent sur le sol et le Seigneur fit pleuvoir la grêle sur le pays d’Égypte.
And he stretched out Moses staff his to the heavens and Yahweh he gave thunder claps and hail and it went fire [the] ground towards and he rained down Yahweh hail on [the] land of Egypt.
24 C’Était une grêle et un feu tourbillonnant au milieu de la grêle; c’était effroyable, rien de pareil n’était arrivé dans tout le pays des Égyptiens depuis qu’ils formaient une nation.
And it was hail and fire [was] flashing in [the] middle of the hail heavy very which not it had been like it in all [the] land of Egypt from then it had become a nation.
25 La grêle frappa, dans tout le pays d’Égypte, tout ce qui était dans les champs, depuis l’homme jusqu’à la bête; toute herbe des champs fut abattue par la grêle et tout arbre des champs brisé.
And it struck the hail in all [the] land of Egypt all that [was] in the field from humankind and unto livestock and all [the] vegetation of the field it struck the hail and every tree of the field it shattered.
26 La seule province de Gessen, où habitaient les enfants d’Israël, fut exempte de la grêle.
Only in [the] land of Goshen where [were] there [the] people of Israel not it was hail.
27 Pharaon fit appeler Moïse et Aaron et leur dit: "J’Ai péché, je le vois à cette heure: l’Éternel est juste et c’est moi et mon peuple qui sommes coupables.
And he sent Pharaoh and he summoned Moses and Aaron and he said to them I have sinned this time Yahweh [is] the righteous [one] and I and people my [are] the guilty [ones].
28 Implorez l’Éternel pour qu’il mette un terme à ces tonnerres célestes et à cette grêle; alors je vous laisserai partir et vous n’éprouverez plus de retards."
Pray to Yahweh and [is too] much for being [the] thunder claps of God and [the] hail and I will let go you and not you will increase! to stay.
29 Moïse lui répondit: "Au Moment où je quitterai la ville, j’étendrai mes mains vers l’Éternel, les tonnerres cesseront et la grêle ne se produira plus, afin que tu saches que la terre est à l’Éternel.
And he said to him Moses when have gone out I the city I will spread out hands my to Yahweh the thunder claps they will cease! and the hail not it will happen again so that you may know that [belongs] to Yahweh the earth.
30 Mais toi et tes serviteurs, je sais que vous ne rendrez pas encore hommage au Dieu éternel."
And you and servants your I know that not yet you fear! because of Yahweh God.
31 Or, le lin et l’orge avaient été abattus, parce que l’orge était en épi et le lin en fleur;
And the flax and the barley it was struck for the barley [was] young barley ear[s] and the flax [was] bud.
32 mais le froment et l’épeautre n’avaient point souffert, parce qu’ils sont tardifs.
And the wheat and the spelt not they were struck for [are] late [crops] they.
33 Moïse, étant sorti de chez Pharaon, hors de la ville, étendit les mains vers le Seigneur; et tonnerres et grêle disparurent et la pluie ne s’épancha point sur la terre.
And he went out Moses from with Pharaoh the city and he spread out hands his to Yahweh and they ceased the thunder claps and the hail and rain not it was poured out [the] earth towards.
34 Pharaon, se voyant délivré de la pluie, de la grêle et des tonnerres, recommença à pécher et endurcit son cœur, lui et ses serviteurs.
And he saw Pharaoh that it had ceased the rain and the hail and the thunder claps and he repeated to sin and he made heavy heart his he and servants his.
35 Et Pharaon persista à ne pas renvoyer les enfants d’Israël, comme l’Éternel l’avait annoncé par l’organe de Moïse.
And it was strong [the] heart of Pharaoh and not he let go [the] people of Israel just as he had said Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses.
