Exode 38
1 Puis il fit l’autel de l’holocauste en bois de chittîm; cinq coudées furent sa longueur, cinq coudées sa largeur, il était carré, et trois coudées sa hauteur,
And he makes the altar of burnt-offering of shittim wood; five cubits its length, and five cubits its breadth (square), and three cubits its height;
2 Il en sculpta les cornes aux quatre angles, ces cornes faisant corps avec lui; puis il le revêtit de cuivre
and he makes its horns on its four corners; its horns have been of the same; and he overlays it with bronze;
3 Il fabriqua tous les ustensiles de l’autel: les cendriers, les pelles, les bassins, les fourches et les brasiers; il fit tous ces ustensiles de cuivré.
and he makes all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the sprinkling-pans, the forks, and the fire-pans; he has made all its vessels of bronze.
4 Il fit pour l’autel un grillage formant un réseau de cuivre, au-dessous de l’entablement et régnant jusqu’au milieu.
And he makes a bronze grate of network for the altar, under its rim beneath, to its midst;
5 II moula quatre anneaux aux quatre angles, sur le grillage de cuivre, pour y passer les barres,
and he casts four rings for the four ends of the bronze grate—places for bars;
6 Il fit ces barres en bois de chittîm et les recouvrit de cuivre;
and he makes the poles of shittim wood, and overlays them with bronze;
7 et il les introduisit dans les anneaux, aux côtés de l’autel, pour servir à le transporter; C’Est en boiserie creuse qu’il le disposa.
and he brings in the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, to carry it with them; he made it hollow [with] boards.
8 Il fabriqua la cuve en cuivre et son support de même, au moyen des miroirs des femmes qui s’étaient attroupées à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation.
And he makes the laver of bronze, and its base of bronze, with the mirrors of the women assembling, who have assembled at the opening of the Tent of Meeting.
9 II prépara le parvis. Pour le côté du sud, regardant le midi, les toiles du parvis en lin retors, avaient cent coudées,
And he makes the court: at the south side southward, the hangings of the court of twined linen, one hundred by the cubit,
10 Il fit leurs vingt piliers avec leurs vingt socles de cuivre; les crochets des piliers et leurs tringles, en argent.
their pillars [are] twenty, and their bronze sockets twenty, the pegs of the pillars and their fillets [are] silver;
11 Pour le côté nord, cent coudées de toiles, ayant vingt piliers avec vingt socles de cuivre, avec crochets et tringles d’argent.
and at the north side, one hundred by the cubit, their pillars [are] twenty, and their sockets of bronze twenty; the pegs of the pillars and their fillets [are] silver;
12 Pour la face occidentale, des toiles mesurant cinquante coudées, avec dix piliers à dix socles, à crochets et tringles d’argent.
and at the west side [are] hangings, fifty by the cubit; their pillars [are] ten, and their sockets ten; the pegs of the pillars and their fillets [are] silver;
13 Pour la face orientale, au levant, cinquante coudées.
and at the east side eastward, fifty cubits.
14 Quinze coudées de toiles pour une aile, avec trois piliers et trois socles;
The hangings on the side [are] fifteen cubits, their pillars three, and their sockets three,
15 pour la seconde aile, elles s’étendaient des deux côtés de l’entrée du parvis, quinze coudées de toiles, ayant trois piliers avec trois socles.
and at the second side at the gate of the court, on this [side] and on that [side]—hangings of fifteen cubits, their pillars three, and their sockets three;
16 Toutes les toiles formant le pourtour du parvis étaient en lin retors,
all the hangings of the court around [are] of twined linen,
17 Les socles destinés aux piliers étaient de cuivre; les crochets des piliers et leurs tringles, d’argent et leurs chapiteaux étaient recouverts en argent: ainsi se trouvaient reliés par de l’argent tous les piliers du parvis.
and the sockets for the pillars of bronze, the pegs of the pillars and their fillets of silver, and the overlaying of their tops of silver, and all the pillars of the court are filleted with silver.
18 Le rideau portière du parvis, ouvragé en broderie, était d’azur, de pourpre, d’écarlate et de lin retors. Il avait vingt coudées de longueur; hauteur, formée par la largeur, cinq coudées, semblablement aux toiles du parvis.
And the covering of the gate of the court [is] the work of an embroiderer, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen; and twenty cubits [is] the length, and the height with the breadth [is] five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court;
19 Elles avaient quatre piliers, avec quatre socles de cuivre; leurs crochets étaient d’argent, ainsi que la garniture de leurs chapiteaux et que leurs tringles.
and their pillars [are] four, and their sockets of bronze four, their pegs [are] of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their fillets [are] of silver;
20 Enfin, toutes les chevilles destinées au tabernacle et au pourtour du parvis étaient de cuivre.
and all the pins for the Dwelling Place, and for the court all around, [are] of bronze.
21 Telle est la distribution du tabernacle, résidence du Statut, comme elle fut établie par l’ordre de Moïse; tâche confiée aux Lévites, sous la direction d’Ithamar, fils d’Aaron le pontife.
These are the numberings of the Dwelling Place (the Dwelling Place of Testimony), which has been numbered by the command of Moses, the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.
22 Beçalel, fils d’Ouri, fils dé Hour, de la tribu de Juda, exécuta donc tout ce que l’Éternel avait ordonné à Moïse,
And Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, has made all that YHWH commanded Moses;
23 secondé par Oholiab, fils d’Ahisamak, de la tribu de Dan, artisan et artiste, brodeur en étoffes d’azur, de, pourpre, d’écarlate et de fin lin.
and with him [is] Aholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and designer and embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and in linen.
24 Tout l’or employé à cette œuvre, aux diverses parties de l’œuvre sainte, cet or, produit de l’offrande, se monta à vingt-neuf kikkar, plus sept cent trente sicles, selon le poids du sanctuaire.
All the gold which is prepared for the work in all the work of the holy place (and it is the gold of the wave-offering) [is] twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, by the shekel of the holy place.
25 L’Argent, produit du dénombrement de la communauté, fut de cent kikkar, plus mille sept cent soixante-quinze sicles, au poids du sanctuaire:
And the silver of those numbered of the congregation [is] one hundred talents, and one thousand and seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, by the shekel of the holy place;
26 à un béka par tête, soit un demi sicle au poids du sanctuaire, pour tous ceux qui firent partie du dénombrement, depuis l’âge de vingt ans et au-dessus, au nombre de six cent trois mille cinq cent cinquante.
a bekah for the counted head (half a shekel, by the shekel of the holy place), for everyone who is passing over to those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
27 Or, les cent kikkar d’argent servirent à fondre les socles du sanctuaire et les socles du voile pour les cent socles cent kikkar, un kikkar par socle.
And one hundred talents of silver are for casting the sockets of the holy place, and the sockets of the veil; one hundred sockets for the hundred talents, a talent for a socket;
28 Quant aux mille sept cent soixante quinze sicles, on en fit les crochets des piliers, la garniture de leurs chapiteaux et leurs tringles.
and [from] the one thousand and seven hundred and seventy-five [shekels] he has made pegs for the pillars, and overlaid their tops, and filleted them.
29 Le cuivre qu’on avait offert se monta à soixante-dix kikkar, plus deux mille quatre cents sicles.
And the bronze of the wave-offering [is] seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels;
30 On en fit les socles de l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation, l’autel de cuivre ainsi que son grillage de cuivre et tous les ustensiles de cet autel;
and he makes with it the sockets of the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and the bronze altar, and the bronze grate which it has, and all the vessels of the altar,
31 les socles au pourtour du parvis, ceux de l’entrée du parvis; toutes les chevilles du tabernacle et toutes celles du parvis, tout autour.
and the sockets of the court all around, and the sockets of the gate of the court, and all the pins of the Dwelling Place, and all the pins of the court all around.
