Deutéronome 16
1 "Prends garde au mois de la germination, pour célébrer la Pâque en l’honneur de l’Éternel, ton Dieu; car c’est dans le mois de la germination que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’a fait sortir d’Egypte, la nuit.
Keep the month of Abib, and celebrate the passover to Jehovah thy God; for in the month of Abib Jehovah thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
2 Tu immoleras le sacrifice pascal à l’Éternel, ton Dieu, parmi le menu et le gros bétail, dans le lieu que l’Éternel aura choisi pour y fixer son nom.
And thou shalt sacrifice the passover to Jehovah thy God, of the flock and of the herd, in the place which Jehovah will choose to cause his name to dwell there.
3 Tu ne dois pas manger de pain levé avec ce sacrifice; durant sept jours tu mangeras en outre des azymes, pain de misère, car c’est avec précipitation que tu as quitté le pays d’Egypte, et il faut que tu te souviennes, tous les jours de ta vie, du jour où tu as quitté le pays d’Egypte.
Thou shalt eat no leavened bread along with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread with it, bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste, — that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt, all the days of thy life.
4 Qu’on ne voie pas de levain chez toi, dans tout ton territoire, durant sept jours, et qu’il ne reste rien, le lendemain, de la chair du sacrifice offert le soir du premier jour.
And there shall be no leaven seen with thee in all thy borders seven days; neither shall any of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst at even on the first day, be left over night until the morning. —
5 Tu ne pourras pas immoler l’agneau pascal dans quelqu’une des villes que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te donnera;
Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover in one of thy gates, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee;
6 mais uniquement au lieu que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, aura choisi pour y faire résider son nom, là tu immoleras le sacrifice pascal sur le soir, au coucher du soleil, à l’anniversaire de ta sortie d’Egypte.
but at the place that Jehovah thy God will choose, to cause his name to dwell in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the time that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
7 Tu le feras cuire et le mangeras en ce même lieu que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, aura choisi; puis, le lendemain, tu pourras t’en retourner dans tes demeures.
And thou shalt cook and eat it at the place which Jehovah thy God will choose; and in the morning shalt thou turn and go unto thy tents.
8 Six jours tu mangeras des azymes; de plus, le septième jour, il y aura une fête solennelle pour l’Éternel, ton Dieu: tu ne feras aucun travail.
Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day is a solemn assembly to Jehovah thy God; thou shalt do no work.
9 Puis tu compteras sept semaines: aussitôt qu’on mettra la faucille aux blés, tu commenceras à compter ces sept semaines.
Seven weeks shalt thou count: from the beginning of putting the sickle into the corn shalt thou begin to count seven weeks.
10 Et tu célébreras une fête des semaines en l’honneur de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, à proportion des dons que ta main pourra offrir, selon que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’aura béni.
And thou shalt hold the feast of weeks to Jehovah thy God with a tribute of a voluntary-offering of thy hand, which thou shalt give, according as Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee;
11 Et tu te réjouiras en présence de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton esclave et ta servante, le Lévite qui sera dans tes murs, l’étranger, l’orphelin et la veuve qui seront près de toi, dans l’enceinte que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, aura choisie pour y faire habiter son nom.
and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy bondman, and thy handmaid, and the Levite that is in thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow that are in thy midst in the place that Jehovah thy God will choose to cause his name to dwell there.
12 Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave en Egypte, et tu observeras fidèlement ces lois.
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and thou shalt keep and do these statutes.
13 Tu célébreras la fête des tentes durant sept jours, quand tu rentreras les produits de ton aire et de ton pressoir;
The feast of tabernacles shalt thou hold seven days, when thou hast gathered in [the produce] of thy floor and of thy winepress.
14 et tu te réjouiras pendant la fête et, avec toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton serviteur et ta servante, et le Lévite, l’étranger, l’orphelin, la veuve qui seront dans tes murs.
And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy bondman, and thy handmaid, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are in thy gates.
15 Tu fêteras ces sept jours en l’honneur de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, dans le lieu qu’il aura choisi; car il te bénira, l’Éternel, ton Dieu, dans tous tes revenus, dans tout le labeur de tes mains, et tu pourras t’abandonner à la joie.
Seven days shalt thou hold a feast to Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah will choose; for Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thy produce, and in all the work of thy hands, and thou shalt be wholly joyful.
16 Trois fois l’an, tous tes mâles paraîtront en présence du Seigneur, ton Dieu, dans l’endroit qu’il aura élu: à la fête des azymes, à celle des semaines et à celle des tentes. Et que l’on ne paraisse pas les mains vides en présence du Seigneur.
Three times in the year shall all thy males appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which he will choose, at the feast of unleavened bread, and at the feast of weeks, and at the feast of tabernacles; and they shall not appear before Jehovah empty:
17 Mais chacun donnera selon ses moyens, selon les bénédictions que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’aura dispensées.
each [shall give] according to that which is in his power to give, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee.
18 Tu institueras des juges et des magistrats dans toutes les villes que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te donnera, dans chacune de tes tribus; et ils devront juger le peuple selon la justice.
Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes, that they may judge the people with just judgment.
19 Ne fais pas fléchir le droit, n’aie pas égard à la personne, et n’accepte point de présent corrupteur, car la corruption aveugle les yeux des sages et fausse la parole des justes.
Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a bribe; for the bribe blindeth the eyes of the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
20 C’Est la justice, la justice seule que tu dois rechercher, si tu veux te maintenir en possession du pays que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te destine.
Perfect justice shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and possess the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
21 Ne plante chez toi ni bosquet ni arbre quelconque auprès de l’autel que tu devras ériger à l’Éternel, ton Dieu;
Thou shalt not plant thyself an Asherah of any wood near unto the altar of Jehovah thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
22 et n’érige pas de statue chez toi, chose odieuse à l’Éternel, ton Dieu.
Neither shalt thou set thee up a statue, which Jehovah thy God hateth.
