1 Benjamin engendra Béla, qui fut son premier-né, Achbêl, le second, Ahrah, le troisième,
And Benjamin begot Bela his first-born, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third;
2 Noha, le quatrième, et Rafa, le cinquième.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 Béla eut des fils, à savoir: Addar, Ghêra, Abihoud,
And Bela had sons, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud;
4 Abichoua, Naamân, Ahoah,
and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah;
5 Ghêra, Chefoufân et Hourâm.
and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 Et voici les fils d’Ehoud: c’étaient les chefs de famille des habitants de Ghéba, qu’on déporta à Manahath,
And these are the sons of Ehud — these are the heads of fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Geba, and they were carried captive to Manahath;
7 Naaman, Ahiya et Ghêra c’est celui-ci qui les déporta. Il engendra Ouzza et Ahihoud.
and Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera, were they that carried them captive — and he begot Uzza, and Ahihud.
8 Chaharaïm engendra dans la campagne de Moab, après avoir répudié Houchim et Baara, ses femmes.
And Shaharaim begot children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away, to wit, Hushim and Baara his wives;
9 Il eut de sa femme Hodech: Yobab, Cibia, Mêcha, Malkâm,
he begot of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
10 Yeouç, Sakhia et Mirma. Tels furent ses fils, qui devinrent chefs de familles.
and Jeuz, and Sachiah, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers' houses.
11 De Houchim il avait eu Abitoub et Elpaal.
and of Hushim he begot Abitub, and Elpaal.
12 Les fils d’Elpaal furent Eber, Micheâm et Chémer. Celui-ci fut le fondateur de Ono et de Lod, avec ses dépendances.
And the sons of Elpaal: Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof;
13 Berïa et Chéma, chefs des familles des habitants d’Ayyalôn, mirent en fuite les habitants de Gath.
and Beriah, and Shema, who were heads of fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath.
14 Ahio, Chachak, Yerêmoth,
And Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth;
15 Zebadia, Arad, Eder,
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder;
16 Mikhaêl, Yichpa et Yoha étaient les fils de Berïa.
and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, were the sons of Beriah.
17 Zebadia, Mechoullam, Hizki, Héber,
And Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber;
18 Yichmeraï, Yizlïa et Yobab étaient fils d’Elpaal.
and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, were the sons of Elpaal.
19 Yakim, Zikhri, Zabdi,
And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi;
20 Elïênaï, Cilletaï, Elïêl,
and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel;
21 Adaïa, Beraya et Chimrât étaient fils de Chimeï.
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, were the sons of Shimei.
22 Yochpân, Eber, Elïêl,
And Ishpan, and Ebed, and Eliel;
23 Abdôn, Zikhri, Hanân,
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan;
24 Hanania, Elâm, Antotiya,
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothiah;
25 Yifdeya et Penouêl étaient fils de Chachak.
and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, were the sons of Shashak.
26 Chamcheraï, Cheharia, Atalia,
And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah;
27 Yaaréchia, Eliya et Zikhri étaient fils de Yeroham.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, were the sons of Jeroham.
28 C’Étaient les chefs de famille, chefs selon leur généalogie. Ils habitaient Jérusalem.
These were heads of fathers' houses throughout their generations, chief men; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
29 A Gabaon demeuraient le "père" de Gabaon, dont la femme s’appelait Maakha,
And in Gibeon there dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife's name was Maacah;
30 son fils aîné Abdôn, Çour, Kich, Baal, Nadab,
and his first-born son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab;
31 Ghedor, Ahio et Zékher.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
32 Miklôt engendra Chimea. Ceux-là aussi, à l’encontre de leurs frères, habitaient Jérusalem avec leurs frères.
And Mikloth begot Shimeah. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
33 Ner engendra Kich, celui-ci Saül, celui-ci Jonathan, Malki-Choua, Abinadab et Echbaal.
And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 Le fils de Jonathan s’appelait Merib-Baal, qui donna le jour à Mikha.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begot Micah.
35 Les fils de Mikha furent: Pitôn, Mélec, Tarêa et Ahaz.
And the sons of Micah; Pithon, and Melech, and Taarea, and Ahaz.
36 Ahaz engendra Yehoadda, celui-ci Alémeth, Azmaveth et Zimri. Zimri engendra Moça,
And Ahaz begot Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza;
37 celui-ci Binea, celui-ci Rafa, celui-ci Elassa, celui-ci Acêl.
and Moza begot Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
38 Acêl eut six fils, dont voici les noms: Azrikâm, Bokhrou, Ismaël, Chearia, Obadia et Hanân. Tous ceux-là étaient fils d’Acêl.
And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39 Les fils de son frère Echek étaient: Oulam, l’aîné, Yeouch, le second, et Elifélet, le troisième.
And the sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 Les fils d’Oulam étaient des hommes d’armes, maniant l’arc. Ils eurent nombre de fils et de petits-fils, en tout cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là étaient des Benjaminites.
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers; and had many sons, and sons' sons, a hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.
