1 Quant aux descendants d’Issachar, c’étaient: Tola, Poua, Yachoub et Chimron, soit quatre.
The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four in all.
2 Les fils de Tola furent Ouzzi, Refaïa, Yeriël, Yahmaï, Yibsam et Samuel. C’Étaient les chefs des familles de Tola, tous guerriers, selon leurs généalogies. Leur nombre était, au temps de David, de vingt-deux mille six cents.
The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, the heads of their families. In the days of David, 22,600 descendants of Tola were numbered in their genealogies as mighty men of valor.
3 Fils d’Ouzzi: Yizrahia. Fils de Yizrahia: Mikhaël, Obadia, Joël, Yichia, chefs tous les cinq.
The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. All five of them were chiefs.
4 Ils devaient fournir, suivant leurs généalogies, d’après leurs familles, des troupes de gens de guerre au nombre de trente-six mille hommes, car ils avaient un nombre considérable de femmes et d’enfants.
In addition to them, according to their genealogy, they had 36,000 troops for battle, for they had many wives and children.
5 Quant à leurs frères, en comptant toutes les familles d’Issachar, ils fournissaient, en fait de guerriers, quatre-vingt-sept mille hommes, d’après le recensement global.
Their kinsmen belonging to all the families of Issachar who were mighty men of valor totaled 87,000, as listed in their genealogies.
6 Benjamin: Béla, Békher, Yedïaêl, soit trois.
The three sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, and Jediael.
7 Les fils de Béla furent Eçbôn, Ouzzi, Ouzziël, Yerimot et Iri, tous les cinq, chefs de familles, hommes de guerre. Leur rôle généalogique donnait le chiffre de vingt-deux mille trente-quatre.
The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, heads of their families—five in all. There were 22,034 mighty men of valor listed in their genealogies.
8 Les fils de Békher étaient: Zemira, Yoach, Eliézer, Elyoênaï, Omri, Yerêmot, Abiyya, Anatot et Alémet, tous fils de Békher.
The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth; all these were Becher’s sons.
9 Le rôle généalogique des chefs de leurs familles, tous guerriers, donnait un chiffre de vingt-deux mille deux cents.
Their genealogies were recorded according to the heads of their families—20,200 mighty men of valor.
10 Fils de Yedïaêl: Bilhân. Fils de Bilhân: Yeouch, Benjamin, Ehoud, Kenaana, Zétân, Tarchich, et Ahichahar.
The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
11 Tous ces descendants de Yedïaêl étaient chefs de clans et hommes de guerre. Ils fournissaient dix-sept mille deux cents soldats pour l’armée.
All these sons of Jediael were heads of their families, mighty men of valor; there were 17,200 fit for battle.
12 Chouppim et Houppim étaient descendants de Ir, et Houchim ceux d’un autre.
The Shuppites and Huppites were descendants of Ir, and the Hushites were descendants of Aher.
13 Les fils de Nephtali étaient Yahciêl, Gouni, Yécer, Challoum, fils de Bilha.
The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum —the descendants of Bilhah.
14 Les fils de Manassé étaient Asriêl, qu’enfanta sa concubine araméenne. Elle lui donna aussi Makhir, le père de Ghilad.
The descendants of Manasseh: Through his Aramean concubine, Asriel, as well as Machir the father of Gilead.
15 Makhir prit femme parmi les Houppim et les Chouppim. Le nom de sa sœur était Maakha, et le nom du second Celofhad; celui-ci n’eut que des filles.
Machir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. The name of his sister was Maacah. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, who had only daughters.
16 Maakha, femme de Makhir, enfanta un fils qu’elle appela Pérech. Le frère de celui-ci fut Chérech et ses fils: Oulam et Rékem.
Machir’s wife Maacah gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.
17 Fils d’Oulam: Bedân. Tels furent les descendants de Ghilad, fils de Makhir, fils de Manassé.
The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.
18 Sa sœur, la Reine, enfanta Ichhod, Abiézer et Mahla.
His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
19 Les fils de Chemida furent: Ahyvân, Chékhem, Likhi et Anïâm.
And these were the sons of Shemida: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
20 Descendants d’Ephraïm: Choutélah. Celui-ci eut pour fils Béred, celui-ci Tahat, celui-ci Eleada, celui-ci Tahat,
The descendants of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son,
21 celui-ci Zabad, celui-ci Choutélah, celui-ci Ezer et Elead. Ils furent tués par les gens de Gath, nés dans le pays, pour être descendus razzier leurs troupeaux.
Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son. Ezer and Elead were killed by the natives of Gath, because they went down to steal their livestock.
22 Ephraïm, leur père, fut en deuil de longs jours, et ses frères vinrent pour le consoler.
Their father Ephraim mourned for many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
23 Puis il eut commerce avec sa femme; celle-ci conçut et enfanta un fils. Il lui donna pour nom: Berïa, parce que le malheur était entré dans sa maison.
And again he slept with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. So he named him Beriah, because tragedy had come upon his house.
24 Sa fille Chééra bâtit Beth-Horôn inférieur et supérieur, et Ouzzên Chééra.
His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth-horon, as well as Uzzen-sheerah.
25 Berïa eut pour fils Réfah, celui-ci Réchef, celui-ci Télah, celui-ci Tahan,
Additionally, Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,
26 celui-ci Ladân, celui-ci Amihoud, celui-ci Elichama,
Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,
27 celui-ci Nôn, celui-ci Josué.
Nun his son, and Joshua his son.
28 Leur patrimoine et leurs établissements étaient à Béthel, avec sa banlieue, à l’est Naarân, à l’ouest Ghézer avec sa banlieue, Sichem avec sa banlieue, jusqu’à Ayya et sa banlieue.
Their holdings and settlements included Bethel and its villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages as far as Ayyah and its villages.
29 Au pouvoir des fils de Manassé étaient tombés Beth-Cheân et sa banlieue, Taanakh et sa banlieue, Meghiddo et sa banlieue, Dor et sa banlieue. C’Est dans ces villes que s’établirent les descendants de Joseph, fils d’Israël.
And along the borders of Manasseh were Beth-shean, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, together with their villages. The descendants of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns.
30 Fils d’Aser: Yimna, Yichva, Yichvi, Berïa, et Sérah leur sœur.
The children of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.
31 Fils de Berïa: Héber et Malkiêl. Celui-ci fut le "père" de Birzavit;
The sons of Beriah: Heber, as well as Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
32 Héber engendra Yaflêt, Chômer, Hotâm et Choua leur sœur.
Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham, and of their sister Shua.
33 Les fils de Yaflêt furent Passakh, Bimhal et Activât. Tels furent les fils de Yaflêt.
The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were Japhlet’s sons.
34 Les fils de Chémer: Ahi, Rohga, Houbba et Aram.
The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
35 Fils de Hêlem, son frère: Çofah, Yimna, Chêlech et Amal.
The sons of his brother Helem: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
36 Fils de Çofah: Souah, Harnéfer, Choual, Bêri, Yimra,
The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,

40 Tous ceux-là étaient descendants d’Aser, chefs des familles, l’élite des hommes de guerre, les premiers parmi les princes, inscrits au rôle de l’armée, et ils fournissaient un contingent de vingt-six mille soldats.
All these were the descendants of Asher—heads of their families, choice and mighty men of valor, and chiefs among the leaders. The number of men fit for battle, recorded in their genealogies, was 26,000.
