1 En ce qui concerne les subdivisions des portiers, les Korahites étaient représentés par Mechélémiahou, fils de Korê, des enfants d’Assaph.
Concerning the diuisions of the porters, of the Korhites, Meshelemiah the sonne of Kore of the sonnes of Asaph.
2 Mechélémiahou avait pour fils Zekhariahou, l’aîné, Yediaël, le second, Zebadiahou, le troisième, Yatniël, le quatrième,
And the sonnes of Meshelemiah, Zechariah the eldest, Iediael the seconde, Zebadiah the third, Iathniel the fourth,
3 Elam, le cinquième, Johanan, le sixième, Elyehoênaï, le septième.
Elam the fift, Ichohanan the sixt, and Eliehoenai the seuenth.
4 Obed-Edom avait pour fils Chemaeya, rainé, Yozabad, le second, Yoah, le troisième, Sakhar, le quatrième, Netanel, le cinquième,
And the sonnes of Obed Edom, Shemaiah the eldest, Iehozabad the second, Ioah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fift,
5 Ammiël, le sixième, Issachar, le septième, Peoultaï, le huitième; car Dieu l’avait béni.
Ammiel the sixt, Issachar the seuenth, Peulthai the eight: for God had blessed him.
6 A son fils Chemaeya il naquit des fils, qui eurent la direction de leur maison paternelle, car c’étaient des gens vaillants.
And to Shemaiah his sonne, were sonnes borne, that ruled in the house of their father, for they were men of might.
7 Les fils de Chemaeya furent: Otni, Raphaël, Obed, Elzabad et ses frères des hommes vaillants Elihou et Semakhiahou.
The sonnes of Shemaiah were Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad and his brethren, strong men: Elihu also, and Semachiah.
8 Tous ceux-ci, de la progéniture d’Obed-Edom, eux, leurs fils et leurs frères étaient des hommes vaillants
All these were of the sonnes of Obed Edom, they and their sonnes and their brethren mightie and strong to serue, euen three score and two of Obed Edom.
9 Mechélémiahou avait des fils et des frères hommes vaillants au nombre de dix-huit.
And of Meshelemiah sonnes and brethren, eighteene mightie men.
10 Hossa, descendant de Merari, avait des fils, dont Chimri était le chef; car à défaut d’un fils aîné son père l’avait établi chef.
And of Hosah of the sonnes of Merari, the sonnes were Shuri the chiefe, and (though he was not the eldest, yet his father made him the chiefe)
11 Hilkiyahou était le second, Tebaliahou le troisième, Zekhariahou le quatrième: fils et frères de Hossa étaient ensemble treize.
Helkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth: all the sonnes and the brethren of Hosa were thirteene.
12 A ces sections de portiers, à ces chefs de groupes d’hommes incombait la tâche de faire le service dans le temple de l’Eternel, concurremment avec leurs frères.
Of these were the diuisions of the porters of the chiefe men, hauing the charge against their brethren, to serue in the house of the Lord.
13 On désigna, par la voie du sort, petits et grands, d’après leurs familles, pour la garde de chacune des portes.
And they cast lottes both small and great for the house of their fathers, for euery gate.
14 Le sort attribua à Chélémiahou le côté Est; quant à son fils Zekhariahou, conseiller avisé, on consulta le sort, qui le désigna pour le côté Nord.
And the lot on the East side fel to Shelemiah: then they cast lottes for Zechariah his sonne a wise couseller, and his lot came out Northward:
15 Obed-Edom eut la garde du côté Sud, ses fils celle du dépôt des magasins.
To Obed Edom Southwarde, and to his sonnes the house of Asuppim:
16 Chouppim et Hossa eurent le côté Ouest, ainsi que la porte de Challékhet, sur la chaussée montante: un poste faisait face à l’autre.
To Shuppim and to Hosah Westwarde with the gate of Shallecheth by the paued streete that goeth vpward, warde ouer against warde.
17 Six Lévites étaient postés du côté de l’Est, quatre par jour du côté du Nord, quatre par jour du côté du Midi; les magasins étaient gardés par deux groupes de deux.
Eastward were sixe Leuites, and Northwarde foure a day, and Southward foure a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.
18 Quant au Parbar à l’Ouest, quatre gardaient la chaussée montante et deux le Parbar.
In Parbar towarde the West were foure by the paued streete, and two in Parbar.
19 Telles étaient les subdivisions des portiers, pour les Korahites et les Merarites.
These are the diuisions of the porters of the sonnes of Kore, and of the sonnes of Merari.
20 Quant aux Lévites, leurs frères, préposés aux trésors du temple de Dieu et aux trésors des choses saintes,
And of the Leuites. Ahiiah was ouer the treasures of the house of God, and ouer the treasures of the dedicate things.
21 c’étaient les fils de Laedân, descendants de Gerson par Laedân, les chefs de famille de Laedân, le Gersonite, les Yehiêlites.
Of the sonnes of Laadan the sonnes of the Gershunnites descending of Laadan, the chiefe fathers of Laadan were Gershunni and Iehieli.
22 Les descendants de Yehiël, Zêtam et Joël étaient commis à la garde des trésors du temple de l’Eternel.
The sonnes of Iehieli were Zethan and Ioel his brother, appoynted ouer the treasures of the house of the Lord.
23 En ce qui concerne les descendants d’Amram, Yiçhar, Hébron et Ouzziel,
Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites and of the Ozielites.
24 Chebouël, fils de Gerson, fils de Moïse, était intendant des trésors.
And Shebuel the sonne of Gershom, the sonne of Moses, a ruler ouer the treasures.
25 Et ses frères, par Eliézer, étaient Rehabiahou, fils de ce dernier, Isaïe, son fils, Joram, son fils, Zikhri, son fils, et Chelomit, son fils.
And of his brethren which came of Eliezer, was Rehabiah his sonne, and Ieshaiah his sonne, and Ioram his sonne, and Zichri his sonne, and Shelomith his sonne.
26 Ce Chelomit et ses frères étaient préposés à tous les trésors d’objets saints qu’avaient consacrés le roi David, les chefs des familles, chiliarques et centurions, les chefs de l’armée.
Which Shelomith and his brethren were ouer al the treasures of the dedicate things, which Dauid the King, and the chiefe fathers, the captaines ouer thousands, and hundreths, and the captaines of the armie had dedicated.
27 C’Est sur le butin de guerre qu’ils les avaient consacrés en vue d’édifier le temple de l’Eternel.
(For of the battels and of the spoyles they did dedicate to maintaine the house of the Lord)
28 De même, tout ce qu’avaient consacré Samuel, le voyant, Saül, fils de Kich, Abner, fils de Ner, et Joab, fils de Cerouya, en un mot, tous les consécrateurs, était confié à la garde de Chelomit et de ses frères.
And al that Samuel the Seer had dedicate and Saul the sonne of Kish and Abner the sonne of Ner, and Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah, and whosoeuer had dedicate any thing, it was vnder the hand of Shelomith, and his brethren.
29 Dans la famille de Yiçhar, Kenaniahou et ses fils étaient préposés à la besogne extérieure en Israël, comme prévôts et comme juges.
Of the Izharites was Chenaniah and his sonnes, for the busines without ouer Israel, for officers and for Iudges.
30 Parmi les Hébronites, Hachabiahou et ses frères, tous hommes vaillants, au nombre de mille sept cents, étaient chargés des affaires d’Israël en deçà du Jourdain, à l’Ouest, en tout ce qui avait trait au service de l’Eternel et au service du roi.
Of the Hebronites, Ashabiah and his brethren, men of actiuitie, a thousande, and seuen hundreth were officers for Israel beyonde Iorden Westward, in all the busines of the Lord, and for the seruice of the King.
31 De ces Hébronites Yeriya était le chef, eu égard à la généalogie par familles de Hébron (ce fut dans la quarantième année du règne de David qu’on fit des recherches sur eux: il se trouva parmi eux des hommes vaillants à Yazer en Galaad).
Among the Hebronites was Iediiah the chiefest, euen the Hebronites by his generations according to the families. And in the fourtieth yere of the reigne of Dauid they were sought for: and there were founde among them men of actiuitie at Iazer in Gilead.
32 Et ses frères étaient des hommes de courage, au nombre de deux mille sept cents chefs de famille. Le roi David les mit à la tête des tribus de Ruben, de Gad et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, pour veiller à tous les intérêts de Dieu et aux intérêts du roi.
And his brethren men of actiuitie, two thousand and seuen hundreth chiefe fathers, whom King Dauid made rulers ouer the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh, for euery matter perteining to God, and for the Kings busines.
