1 Chroniques 15

1 Il se construisit des maisons dans la Cité de David, appropria un emplacement pour l’arche de Dieu et lui dressa une tente.

and to make to/for him house: home in/on/with city David and to establish: prepare place to/for ark [the] God and to stretch to/for him tent

2 Alors David décida que l’arche de Dieu ne serait portée que par les Lévites, car c’étaient eux que l’Eternel avait choisis pour le transport de l’arche de Dieu et pour son culte à tout jamais.

then to say David not to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark [the] God that if: except if: except [the] Levi for in/on/with them to choose LORD to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark LORD and to/for to minister him till forever: enduring

3 Ensuite David convoqua tout Israël à Jérusalem pour transférer l’arche de l’Eternel sur l’emplacement qu’il lui avait préparé.

and to gather David [obj] all Israel to(wards) Jerusalem to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD to(wards) place his which to establish: prepare to/for him

4 Il assembla les Aaronides et les Lévites, à savoir:

and to gather David [obj] son: descendant/people Aaron and [obj] [the] Levi

5 Des Kehâtites: Ouriël, le chef, et ses frères, au nombre de cent vingt.

to/for son: descendant/people Kohath Uriel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty

6 Des Merarites: Assaïa, le chef et ses frères, au nombre de deux cent vingt.

to/for son: descendant/people Merari Asaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty

7 Des Gherchomites: Joël, le chef; et ses frères, au nombre de cent trente.

to/for son: descendant/people Gershon Joel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and thirty

8 Des Eliçafanites: Chemaïa, le chef, et ses frères, au nombre de deux cents.

to/for son: descendant/people Elizaphan Shemaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred

9 Des Hébronites: Eliël, le chef, et ses frères, au nombre de quatre-vingts.

to/for son: descendant/people Hebron Eliel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his eighty

10 Des Ouzziélites: Amminadab, le chef, et ses frères au nombre de cent douze.

to/for son: descendant/people Uzziel Amminadab [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and two ten

11 Puis David manda les prêtres Çadok et Ebiatar, et les Lévites Ouriël, Assaïa, Joël, Chemaïa, Eliël et Amminadab,

and to call: call to David to/for Zadok and to/for Abiathar [the] priest and to/for Levi to/for Uriel Asaiah and Joel Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab

12 et il leur dit: "Comme vous êtes les chefs des familles lévitiques, sanctifiez-vous, vous et vos frères, et transportez l’arche de l’Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, à l’endroit que j’ai aménagé pour elle.

and to say to/for them you(m. p.) head: leader [the] father to/for Levi to consecrate: consecate you(m. p.) and brother: male-relative your and to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel to(wards) to establish: prepare to/for him

13 Car c’est à cause de votre absence, la première fois, que l’Eternel, notre Dieu, a opéré des brèches parmi nous, qui ne nous étions pas enquis de lui selon les règles."

for to/for what? in/on/with first not you(m. p.) to break through LORD God our in/on/with us for not to seek him like/as justice: judgement

14 Les prêtres et les Lévites se sanctifièrent pour le transfert de l’arche de l’Eternel, Dieu d’Israël.

and to consecrate: consecate [the] priest and [the] Levi to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel

15 Les Lévites portèrent l’arche de Dieu, comme l’avait prescrit Moïse sur l’ordre de l’Eternel, à savoir sur l’épaule, au moyen de barres.

and to lift: bear son: descendant/people [the] Levi [obj] ark [the] God like/as as which to command Moses like/as word LORD in/on/with shoulder their in/on/with yoke upon them

16 David dit aux chefs des Lévites de mettre en place leurs frères les chantres, muni d’instruments de musique, luths, harpes et cymbales, pour entonner des cantiques, en donnant de toute leur voix en signe de réjouissance.

and to say David to/for ruler [the] Levi to/for to stand: appoint [obj] brother: male-relative their [the] to sing in/on/with article/utensil song harp and lyre and cymbal to hear: proclaim to/for to exalt in/on/with voice: sound to/for joy

17 En conséquence, les Lévites mirent en place Hêmân, fils de Joël, et, parmi ses parents, Assaph, fils de Bérékhiahou; des Merarites, leurs frères, Etân, fils de Kouchayahou;

and to stand: appoint [the] Levi [obj] Heman son: child Joel and from brother: male-relative his Asaph son: child Berechiah and from son: child Merari brother: male-relative their Ethan son: child Kushaiah

18 avec eux, au second rang, leurs frères: Zekhariahou, Bên, Yaaziêl, Chemiramot, Yehiël, Ounni, Elïab, Benaïahou, Maasêyahou, Mattitiahou, Eliflêhou, Miknêyahou, Obed-Edom et Yeïêl, portiers.

and with them brother: male-relative their [the] second Zechariah Ben and Jaaziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel [the] gatekeeper

19 Les chantres Hêmân, Assaph et Etân s’accompagnaient de cymbales de cuivre,

and [the] to sing Heman Asaph and Ethan in/on/with cymbal bronze to/for to hear: proclaim

20 Zekhariahou, Aziël, Chemiramot, Yehiël, Ounni, Elïab, Maasêyahou et Benaïahou, de luths à la manière d’Alamoth,

and Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah and Benaiah in/on/with harp upon Alamoth

21 Mattitiahou, Eliflêhou, Miknêyahou, Obed-Edom, Yeïêl et Azaziahou de harpes à huit cordes pour conduire le chœur.

and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel and Azaziah in/on/with lyre upon [the] Sheminith to/for to conduct

22 Kenaniahou, chef lévitique, préposé aux transports, commandait le transport, car il s’y entendait.

and Chenaniah ruler [the] Levi in/on/with burden to discipline in/on/with burden for to understand he/she/it

23 Bérékhia et Elkana étaient portiers pour garder l’arche.

and Berechiah and Elkanah gatekeeper to/for ark

24 Les prêtres Chebaniahou, Yochafat, Nethanêl, Amassaï, Zekhariahou, Benaïahou et Eliézer jouaient de la trompette devant l’arche de Dieu. Obed-Edom et Yehiya étaient portiers pour garder l’arche.

and Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and Eliezer [the] priest (to blow *Q(k)*) in/on/with trumpet to/for face: before ark [the] God and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jehiah gatekeeper to/for ark

25 David, les anciens d’Israël et les chefs de mille, qui marchaient en cortège pour transporter l’arche de l’alliance de l’Eternel depuis la maison d’Obed-Edom, étaient dans la joie.

and to be David and old: elder Israel and ruler [the] thousand [the] to go: went to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD from house: home Obed-edom Obed-edom in/on/with joy

26 Comme Dieu assistait les Lévites porteurs de l’arche d’alliance de l’Eternel, on immola sept taureaux et sept béliers.

and to be in/on/with to help [the] God [obj] [the] Levi to lift: bear ark covenant LORD and to sacrifice seven bullock and seven ram

27 David était revêtu d’un surplis de byssus, ainsi que tous les Lévites qui portaient l’arche, les chantres et Kenania, chef des transports (les chantres). David était paré, en outre, d’un éphod de lin.

and David be clothed in/on/with robe fine linen and all [the] Levi [the] to lift: bear [obj] [the] ark and [the] to sing and Chenaniah [the] ruler [the] burden [the] to sing and upon David ephod linen

28 Tout Israël faisait cortège au transfert de l’arche d’alliance de l’Eternel, avec des cris de joie, au son du Chofar, des trompettes et des cymbales, ou jouant de la lyre et de la harpe.

and all Israel to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD in/on/with shout and in/on/with voice: sound trumpet and in/on/with trumpet and in/on/with cymbal to hear: proclaim in/on/with harp and lyre

29 C’Est ainsi que l’arche d’alliance de l’Eternel arriva à la Cité de David. Mikhal, fille de Saül, regardait alors par la fenêtre. Voyant le roi David sautant et dansant, elle en conçut du dédain pour lui.
