Psaumes 96
1 Chantez à l’Éternel un cantique nouveau; chantez à l’Éternel, toute la terre!
O sing unto the LORD a new song; sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2 Chantez à l’Éternel, bénissez son nom, annoncez de jour en jour son salut!
Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.
3 Racontez parmi les nations sa gloire, parmi tous les peuples ses œuvres merveilleuses.
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.
4 Car l’Éternel est grand, et fort digne de louange; il est terrible par-dessus tous les dieux.
For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
5 Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, mais l’Éternel a fait les cieux.
For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought; but the LORD made the heavens.
6 La majesté et la magnificence sont devant lui, la force et la beauté sont dans son sanctuaire.
Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7 Familles des peuples, rendez à l’Éternel, rendez à l’Éternel la gloire et la force!
Ascribe unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.
8 Rendez à l’Éternel la gloire de son nom; apportez une offrande et entrez dans ses parvis.
Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.
9 Adorez l’Éternel en sainte magnificence; tremblez devant lui, toute la terre.
O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Dites parmi les nations: L’Éternel règne! Aussi le monde est affermi, il ne sera pas ébranlé. Il exercera le jugement sur les peuples avec droiture.
Say among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.' The world also is established that it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre s’égaie; que la mer bruie, et tout ce qui la remplit;
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
12 Que les champs se réjouissent, et tout ce qui est en eux! Alors tous les arbres de la forêt chanteront de joie,
Let the field exult; and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;
13 Devant l’Éternel; car il vient, car il vient pour juger la terre: il jugera le monde avec justice, et les peuples selon sa fidélité.
Before the LORD, for He is come; for He is come to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in His faithfulness.
