Psaumes 95
1 Venez, chantons à haute voix à l’Éternel; poussons des cris de joie vers le rocher de notre salut!
Come, let vs reioyce vnto the Lord: let vs sing aloude vnto the rocke of our saluation.
2 Allons au-devant de lui avec la louange, poussons vers lui des cris de joie en [chantant] des psaumes.
Let vs come before his face with praise: let vs sing loude vnto him with Psalmes.
3 Car l’Éternel est un grand Dieu, et un grand roi par-dessus tous les dieux.
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King aboue all gods.
4 Les lieux profonds de la terre sont en sa main, et les sommets des montagnes sont à lui.
In whose hande are the deepe places of the earth, and the heightes of the mountaines are his:
5 À lui est la mer, et lui-même l’a faite; et le sec, ses mains l’ont formé.
To whome the Sea belongeth: for hee made it, and his handes formed the dry land.
6 Venez, adorons et inclinons-nous, agenouillons-nous devant l’Éternel qui nous a faits!
Come, let vs worship and fall downe, and kneele before the Lord our maker.
7 Car c’est lui qui est notre Dieu; et nous, nous sommes le peuple de sa pâture et les brebis de sa main. Aujourd’hui, si vous entendez sa voix,
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheepe of his hande: to day, if ye will heare his voyce,
8 N’endurcissez pas votre cœur comme à Meriba, comme au jour de Massa, dans le désert,
Harden not your heart, as in Meribah, and as in the day of Massah in the wildernesse.
9 Où vos pères m’ont tenté, éprouvé, et ont vu mes œuvres.
Where your fathers tempted me, proued me, though they had seene my worke.
10 Quarante ans j’ai eu cette génération en dégoût, et j’ai dit: C’est un peuple dont le cœur s’égare, et ils n’ont point connu mes voies,
Fourtie yeeres haue I contended with this generation, and said, They are a people that erre in heart, for they haue not knowen my wayes.
11 De sorte que j’ai juré dans ma colère: S’ils entrent dans mon repos!
Wherefore I sware in my wrath, saying, Surely they shall not enter into my rest.
