Psaumes 63
1 Psaume de David; quand il était dans le désert de Juda. Ô Dieu! tu es mon Dieu; je te cherche au point du jour; mon âme a soif de toi, ma chair languit après toi, dans une terre aride et altérée, sans eau,
A Psalm of David, when he was in the desert of Idumea. O God, my God: to you, I keep vigil until first light. For you, my soul has thirsted, to you my body, in so many ways.
2 Pour voir ta force et ta gloire, comme je t’ai contemplé dans le lieu saint.
By a deserted land, both inaccessible and waterless, so I have appeared in the sanctuary before you, in order to behold your virtue and your glory.
3 Car ta bonté est meilleure que la vie; mes lèvres te loueront.
For your mercy is better than life itself. It is you my lips will praise.
4 Ainsi je te bénirai durant ma vie, j’élèverai mes mains en ton nom.
So will I bless you in my life, and I will lift up my hands in your name.
5 Mon âme est rassasiée comme de moelle et de graisse, et ma bouche [te] louera avec des lèvres qui chantent de joie.
Let my soul be filled, as if with marrow and fatness; and my mouth will give praise with exultant lips.
6 Quand je me souviens de toi sur mon lit, je médite de toi durant les veilles de la nuit;
When I have remembered you on my bed in the morning, I will meditate on you.
7 Car tu as été mon secours, et à l’ombre de tes ailes je chanterai de joie.
For you have been my helper. And I will exult under the cover of your wings.
8 Mon âme s’attache à toi pour te suivre, ta droite me soutient.
My soul has clung close to you. Your right hand has supported me.
9 Mais ceux qui cherchent ma vie pour sa ruine entreront dans les parties inférieures de la terre;
Truly, these ones have sought my soul in vain. They will enter into the lower parts of the earth.
10 On les livrera à la puissance de l’épée, ils seront la portion des renards.
They will be delivered into the hand of the sword. They will be the portions of foxes.
11 Mais le roi se réjouira en Dieu, [et] quiconque jure par lui se glorifiera; car la bouche de ceux qui parlent faussement sera fermée.
Truly, the king will rejoice in God: all those who swear by him will be praised, because the mouth of those who speak iniquity has been blocked.
