Psaumes 132
1 Cantique des degrés. Éternel, souviens-toi de David, [et] de toutes ses afflictions!
A song of degrees. Lord, remember Dauid with all his affliction.
2 Comment il a juré à l’Éternel, [et] fait un vœu au Puissant de Jacob:
Who sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iaakob, saying,
3 Si j’entre dans la demeure de ma maison, si je monte sur le lit où je couche,
I will not enter into the tabernacle of mine house, nor come vpon my pallet or bed,
4 Si je permets à mes yeux de dormir, à mes paupières de sommeiller,
Nor suffer mine eyes to sleepe, nor mine eye lids to slumber,
5 Jusqu’à ce que j’aie trouvé un lieu pour l’Éternel, des demeures pour le Puissant de Jacob!
Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob.
6 Voici, nous avons entendu parler d’elle à Éphrata, nous l’avons trouvée dans les champs de Jaar.
Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah, and found it in the fieldes of the forest.
7 Entrons dans ses demeures, prosternons-nous devant le marchepied de ses pieds.
We will enter into his Tabernacles, and worship before his footestoole.
8 Lève-toi, Éternel! pour [entrer dans] ton repos, toi et l’arche de ta force!
Arise, O Lord, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength.
9 Que tes sacrificateurs soient revêtus de justice, et que tes saints chantent de joie.
Let thy Priests be clothed with righteousnesse, and let thy Saints reioyce.
10 À cause de David, ton serviteur, ne repousse pas la face de ton oint.
For thy seruant Dauids sake refuse not the face of thine Anointed.
11 L’Éternel a juré à David [en] vérité, il n’en reviendra pas: Je mettrai du fruit de ton ventre sur ton trône.
The Lord hath sworne in trueth vnto Dauid, and he wil not shrinke from it, saying, Of the fruite of thy body will I set vpon thy throne.
12 Si tes enfants gardent mon alliance et mes témoignages que je leur enseignerai, leurs fils aussi seront assis à perpétuité sur ton trône.
If thy sonnes keepe my couenant, and my testimonies, that I shall teach them, their sonnes also shall sit vpon thy throne for euer.
13 Car l’Éternel a choisi Sion; il l’a désirée pour être son habitation:
For the Lord hath chosen Zion, and loued to dwell in it, saying,
14 C’est ici mon repos à perpétuité; ici j’habiterai, car je l’ai désirée.
This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue a delite therein.
15 Je bénirai abondamment ses vivres, je rassasierai de pain ses pauvres;
I will surely blesse her vitailes, and will satisfie her poore with bread,
16 Et je revêtirai de salut ses sacrificateurs, et ses saints exulteront en chantant de joie.
And will clothe her Priests with saluation, and her Saints shall shoute for ioye.
17 Là je ferai germer la corne de David, j’ai préparé une lampe à mon oint.
There will I make the horne of Dauid to bud: for I haue ordeined a light for mine Anoynted.
18 Je revêtirai de honte ses ennemis; et sur lui fleurira sa couronne.
His enemies will I clothe with shame, but on him his crowne shall florish.
