Psaumes 121

1 Cantique des degrés. J’élève mes yeux vers les montagnes d’où vient mon secours;

“A song for the degrees.” I lift up my eyes unto the mountains: whence shall come my help?

2 Mon secours [vient] d’auprès de l’Éternel, qui a fait les cieux et la terre.

My help is from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

3 Il ne permettra point que ton pied soit ébranlé; celui qui te garde ne sommeillera pas.

He will not suffer thy foot to slip: thy keeper doth not slumber.

4 Voici, celui qui garde Israël ne sommeillera pas, et ne dormira pas.

Behold, he slumbereth not, and he sleepeth not—the keeper of Israel.

5 L’Éternel est celui qui te garde; l’Éternel est ton ombre, à ta main droite.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade, he is on thy right hand.

6 Le soleil ne te frappera pas de jour, ni la lune de nuit.

By day the sun shall not strike thee, nor the moon by night.

7 L’Éternel te gardera de tout mal; il gardera ton âme.

The Lord will guard thee against all evil: he will guard thy soul.

8 L’Éternel gardera ta sortie et ton entrée, dès maintenant et à toujours.

The Lord will guard thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and for evermore.
