Michée 2
1 Malheur à ceux qui méditent la vanité et qui préparent le mal sur leurs lits! À la lumière du matin, ils l’exécutent, parce que c’est au pouvoir de leur main.
Woe vnto them, that imagine iniquitie, and worke wickednesse vpon their beddes: when the morning is light they practise it because their hande hath power.
2 Et ils convoitent des champs et les ravissent, et des maisons, et ils s’en emparent; et ils oppriment l’homme et sa maison, l’homme et son héritage.
And they couet fields, and take them by violence, and houses, and take them away: so they oppresse a man and his house, euen man and his heritage.
3 C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit l’Éternel: Voici, je médite contre cette famille un mal d’où vous ne pourrez pas retirer vos cous; et vous ne marcherez pas la tête haute, car c’est un temps mauvais.
Therefore thus saieth the Lord, Beholde, against this familie haue I deuised a plague, whereout yee shall not plucke your neckes, and ye shall not go so proudly, for this time is euill.
4 En ce jour-là, on vous prendra pour proverbe, et on se lamentera dans une douloureuse lamentation; on dira: Nous sommes entièrement détruits; il a changé la portion de mon peuple: comme il me l’a ôtée! À celui qui se détourne [de l’Éternel] il a partagé nos champs.
In that daye shall they take vp a parable against you, and lament with a dolefull lamentation, and say, We be vtterly wasted: hee hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he taken it away to restore it vnto mee? he hath deuided our fieldes.
5 C’est pourquoi tu n’auras personne qui étende le cordeau pour [faire] un lot dans la congrégation de l’Éternel.
Therefore thou shalt haue none that shall cast a corde by lot in the Congregation of the Lord.
6 Ne prophétisez point, prophétisent-ils. S’ils ne prophétisent pas à ceux-ci, l’ignominie ne s’éloignera pas.
They that prophecied, Prophecie ye not. They shall not prophecie to them, neither shall they take shame.
7 Toi qui es appelée la maison de Jacob: l’Éternel est-il impatient? Sont-ce là ses actes? Mes paroles ne font-elles pas du bien à celui qui marche avec droiture?
O thou that art named of the house of Iaakob, is the Spirite of the Lord shortened? are these his workes? are not my wordes good vnto him that walketh vprightly?
8 Naguère encore mon peuple s’est levé comme un ennemi: vous enlevez le manteau avec la tunique à ceux qui passent en sécurité, qui se détournent de la guerre;
But hee that was yesterday my people, is risen vp on the other side, as against an enemie: they spoyle the beautifull garment from them that passe by peaceably, as though they returned from the warre.
9 vous avez chassé les femmes de mon peuple des maisons de leurs délices; de dessus leurs enfants, vous avez ôté ma magnificence, pour toujours.
The women of my people haue ye cast out from their pleasant houses, and from their childre haue ye taken away my glorie continually.
10 Levez-vous et allez-vous-en! car ce n’est pas ici un lieu de repos, à cause de la souillure qui amène la ruine: la ruine est terrible!
Arise and depart, for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, euen with a sore destruction.
11 S’il y a un homme qui marche selon le vent et le mensonge, qui mente, [disant]: Je te prophétiserai au sujet du vin et de la boisson forte! il sera le prophète de ce peuple.
If a man walke in the Spirit, and would lie falsely, saying, I wil prophecie vnto thee of wine, and of strong drinke, he shall euen be the prophet of this people.
12 Je te rassemblerai certainement, Jacob, toi, tout entier; je réunirai certainement le résidu d’Israël; je les mettrai ensemble comme le menu bétail de Botsra, comme un troupeau au milieu de son pâturage. Ils bruiront à cause [de la multitude] des hommes.
I will surely gather thee wholy, O Iaakob: I will surely gather the remnant of Israel: I will put them together as the sheepe of Bozrah, euen as the flocke in the mids of their folde: the cities shall be full of brute of the men.
13 Celui qui fait la brèche est monté devant eux; ils ont fait la brèche et ont passé par la porte, et sont sortis par elle, et leur roi est passé devant eux, et l’Éternel est à leur tête.
The breaker vp shall come vp before them: they shall breake out, and passe by the gate, and goe out by it, and their King shall goe before them, and the Lord shalbe vpon their heades.
