Jérémie 9
1 Oh! ma tête, que n’est-elle des eaux, et mes yeux, une fontaine de larmes! et je pleurerais jour et nuit les blessés à mort de la fille de mon peuple!
Who? will he give head my [was] water and eye my [was] a fountain of tear[s] so I may bewail by day and night [those] slain of [the] daughter of people my.
2 Oh! qui me donnera dans le désert une cabane de voyageur! et j’abandonnerais mon peuple et je m’en irais d’avec eux; car ils sont tous des adultères, une assemblée de perfides.
Who? will he give me in the wilderness a lodging place of travelers and I will leave people my and I will go from with them for all of them [are] adulterers an assembly of treacherous [people].
3 Et ils bandent leur langue, leur arc de mensonge, et ils ne sont pas vaillants dans le pays pour la fidélité; car ils passent d’iniquité en iniquité, et ne me connaissent pas, dit l’Éternel.
And they have bent tongue their bow of their falsehood and not to faithfulness they are strong in the land for from evil to evil - they have gone out and me not they know [the] utterance of Yahweh.
4 Gardez-vous chacun de son ami, et ne vous confiez en aucun frère; car tout frère ne fera que supplanter, et tout ami marche dans la calomnie.
Each from neighbor his take heed and on any brother may not you rely for every brother certainly he cheats and every neighbor a slanderer he goes about.
5 Et chacun d’eux trompe son ami, et ne dit pas la vérité; ils ont enseigné leur langue à dire le mensonge, ils se fatiguent à faire le mal.
And each neighbor his they deceive and truth not they speak they have taught tongue their to speak falsehood to iniquire they are weary.
6 Ton habitation est au milieu de la tromperie; à cause de la tromperie ils refusent de me connaître, dit l’Éternel.
Dwelling you in among deceit on deceit they have refused to know me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
7 C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées: Voici, je vais les affiner et les éprouver; car comment agirais-je à l’égard de la fille de mon peuple?
Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to refine them and I will test them for how? will I act because of [the] daughter of people my.
8 Leur langue est une flèche mortelle, elle profère la tromperie; de sa bouche il parle de paix avec son ami, mais au-dedans il lui dresse des embûches.
[is] an arrow (Beaten *Q(K)*) tongue their deceit it speaks with mouth his peace with neighbor his someone speaks and in inner being his he sets ambush his.
9 Ne les punirais-je pas à cause de ces choses? dit l’Éternel; mon âme ne se vengerait-elle pas d’une nation comme celle-là?
¿ On these [things] not will I visit them [the] utterance of Yahweh or? on a nation which [is] like this [one] not will it avenge itself self my.
10 J’élèverai une voix de pleurs et une lamentation sur les montagnes, et une complainte sur les pâturages du désert, car ils sont brûlés, de sorte que personne n’y passe et qu’on n’y entend pas la voix des troupeaux; tant les oiseaux des cieux que les bêtes ont fui; ils s’en sont allés.
On the mountains I will take up weeping and wailing and on [the] pastures of [the] wilderness lamentation for they are left desolate because not anyone [who] passes through and not people hear [the] sound of livestock from [the] bird[s] of the heavens and unto animal[s] they have fled they have gone.
11 Et je ferai de Jérusalem des monceaux [de ruines], un repaire de chacals; et des villes de Juda, j’en ferai une désolation, de sorte qu’il n’y aura plus d’habitant.
And I will make Jerusalem into heaps of stones a habitation of jackals and [the] cities of Judah I will make a waste because not inhabitant.
12 Qui est l’homme sage? qu’il comprenne cela. Et celui à qui la bouche de l’Éternel a parlé, qu’il le déclare! Pourquoi le pays périt-il, [et] est-il brûlé comme un désert, de sorte que personne n’y passe?
Who? [is] the person wise and he may understand this and whom it has spoken [the] mouth of Yahweh to him so he may declare it concerning what? has it been destroyed the land has it become desolate? like wilderness because not [one who] passes by.
13 Et l’Éternel dit: Parce qu’ils ont abandonné ma loi que j’avais mise devant eux, et qu’ils n’ont pas écouté ma voix, et parce qu’ils n’ont pas marché en elle,
And he said Yahweh because have forsaken they law my which I set before them and not they have listened to voice my and not they have walked in it.
14 et qu’ils ont marché suivant le penchant obstiné de leur cœur et après les Baals, ce que leurs pères leur ont enseigné.
And they have walked after [the] stubbornness of own heart their and after the Baals which they taught them ancestors their.
15 C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël: Voici, je vais faire manger de l’absinthe à ce peuple, et je leur ferai boire de l’eau de fiel;
Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to feed them the people this wormwood and I will give to drink them water of poison.
16 et je les disperserai parmi les nations qu’ils n’ont pas connues, eux et leurs pères; et j’enverrai après eux l’épée, jusqu’à ce que je les aie consumés.
And I will scatter them among the nations which not they knew they and ancestors their and I will send forth after them the sword until have made an end of I them.
17 Ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées: Considérez, et appelez les pleureuses, et qu’elles viennent; et envoyez vers les femmes sages, et qu’elles viennent,
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts consider and summon the wailing [women] and they may come and to the skillful [women] send so they may come.
18 et qu’elles se hâtent, et qu’elles élèvent une [voix de] lamentation sur nous, et que nos yeux se fondent en larmes, et que l’eau coule de nos paupières.
And they may hasten and they may take up on us wailing so they may run down eyes our tear[s] and eyelids our they may flow water.
19 Car une voix de lamentation se fait entendre de Sion: Comme nous sommes détruits, [et] devenus fort honteux! car nous avons abandonné le pays, car ils ont jeté à bas nos demeures.
For a sound of wailing it has been heard from Zion how! we have been devastated we have been put to shame exceedingly for we have left [the] land for people have cast down dwellings our.
20 Vous, femmes, écoutez donc la parole de l’Éternel, et que votre oreille reçoive la parole de sa bouche; et enseignez à vos filles la lamentation, et chacune à son amie la complainte.
For hear O women [the] word of Yahweh so it may receive ear your [the] word of mouth his and teach daughters your a mourning song and every woman neighbor her a lamentation.
21 Car la mort est montée par nos fenêtres, elle est entrée dans nos palais, pour retrancher de la rue les petits enfants, [et] des places, les jeunes hommes.
For it has come up death in windows our it has come in fortresses our to cut off child[ren] from [the] street young men from [the] open places.
22 Dis: Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Oui, le cadavre de l’homme tombera comme du fumier sur la face des champs, et comme la gerbe après le moissonneur, et il n’y a personne qui la recueille.
Speak thus [the] utterance of Yahweh and it will fall [the] corpse[s] of people like dung on [the] surface of the field[s] and like cut grain from behind the reaper and there not [will be one who] gathers.
23 Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Que le sage ne se glorifie pas dans sa sagesse, et que l’homme vaillant ne se glorifie pas dans sa vaillance; que le riche ne se glorifie pas dans sa richesse;
Thus - he says Yahweh may not he boast a wise [person] in wisdom his and may not he boast the mighty [person] in might his may not he boast a rich [person] in rich[es] his.
24 mais que celui qui se glorifie, se glorifie en ceci, qu’il a de l’intelligence et qu’il me connaît; car je suis l’Éternel, qui use de bonté, de jugement et de justice sur la terre, car je trouve mes délices en ces choses-là, dit l’Éternel.
That except in this let him boast who [-ever] boasts he has insight and he knows me that I [am] Yahweh [who] does covenant loyalty justice and righteousness on the earth for in these things I delight [the] utterance of Yahweh.
25 Voici, des jours viennent, dit l’Éternel, et je punirai tous les circoncis avec les incirconcis,
Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will visit [judgment] on every [man] circumcised in a foreskin.
26 l’Égypte, et Juda, et Édom, et les fils d’Ammon, et Moab, et tous ceux qui coupent les coins [de leur barbe], lesquels habitent le désert; car toutes les nations sont incirconcises, et toute la maison d’Israël est incirconcise de cœur.
On Egypt and on Judah and on Edom and on [the] people of Ammon and on Moab and on all [those who] are cut off of [the] corner who dwell in the wilderness for all the nations [are] uncircumcised and all [the] house of Israel [are] uncircumcised of heart.
