Jérémie 43

1 Et lorsque Jérémie eut achevé de dire à tout le peuple toutes les paroles de l’Éternel, leur Dieu, toutes ces paroles avec lesquelles l’Éternel, leur Dieu, l’avait envoyé vers eux,

Forsothe it was don, whanne Jeremye spekinge to the puple hadde fillid alle the wordis of the Lord God of hem, for whiche the Lord God of hem sente hym to hem, alle these wordis,

2 il arriva qu’Azaria, fils de Hoshahia, et Jokhanan, fils de Karéakh, et tous les hommes orgueilleux, parlèrent à Jérémie, disant: C’est un mensonge que tu dis; l’Éternel, notre Dieu, ne t’a pas envoyé pour [nous] dire: N’allez point en Égypte pour y séjourner.

Azarie, the sone of Josie, seide, and Johanna, the sone of Caree, and alle proude men, seiynge to Jeremye, Thou spekist a leesyng; oure Lord God sente not thee, and seide, Entre ye not in to Egipt, to dwelle there;

3 Mais Baruc, fils de Nérija, t’incite contre nous, afin de nous livrer en la main des Chaldéens, pour nous faire mourir et pour nous transporter à Babylone.

but Baruc, the sone of Nerie, stirith thee ayens vs, that he bitake vs in the hondis of Caldeis, that he sle vs, and make to be led ouer in to Babiloyne.

4 Et Jokhanan, fils de Karéakh, et tous les chefs des forces, et tout le peuple, n’écoutèrent point la voix de l’Éternel, pour habiter dans le pays de Juda.

And Johanna, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, and al the puple, herden not the vois of the Lord, that thei dwellen in the lond of Juda.

5 Et Jokhanan, fils de Karéakh, et tous les chefs des forces, prirent tout le reste de Juda, ceux qui, de toutes les nations parmi lesquelles ils avaient été chassés, étaient retournés pour séjourner dans le pays de Juda:

But Johanna, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, token alle of the remenauntis of Juda, that turneden ayen fro alle folkis, to whiche thei weren scatered bifore, that thei schulden dwelle in the lond of Juda;

6 les hommes forts, et les femmes, et les petits enfants, et les filles du roi, et toutes les âmes que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, avait laissées avec Guedalia, fils d’Akhikam, fils de Shaphan, et Jérémie le prophète, et Baruc, fils de Nérija;

thei token men, and wymmen, and litle children, and the douytris of the kyng, and ech persoone, whom Nabusardan, the prince of chyualrie, hadde left with Godolie, the sone of Aicham, sone of Saphan. And thei token Jeremye, the profete, and Baruc, the sone of Nerie,

7 et ils entrèrent dans le pays d’Égypte, car ils n’avaient pas écouté la voix de l’Éternel; et ils vinrent jusqu’à Takhpanès.

and thei entriden in to the lond of Egipt; for thei obeieden not to the vois of the Lord, and thei camen `til to Taphnys.

8 Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à Jérémie, à Takhpanès, disant:

And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye in Taphnys,

9 Prends dans ta main de grosses pierres, et cache-les dans l’argile, dans le four à briques qui est à l’entrée de la maison du Pharaon, à Takhpanès, sous les yeux des Juifs;

and seide, Take in thin hond grete stoonys, and hide thou tho in a denne, which is vndur the wal of tiil stoon, in the yate of the hous of Farao, in Taphnys, while alle Jewis seen.

10 et dis-leur: Ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël: Voici, j’envoie, et je prendrai Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur; et je mettrai son trône au-dessus de ces pierres que j’ai cachées, et il étendra sur elles sa tente magnifique;

And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal sende, and Y schal take Nabugodonosor, my seruaunt, the kyng of Babiloyne; and Y schal sette his trone on these stoonys, whiche Y hidde; and he schal sette his seete on tho stoonys.

11 et il viendra, et frappera le pays d’Égypte: qui pour la mort, à la mort, et qui pour la captivité, à la captivité, et qui pour l’épée, à l’épée.

And he schal come, and smyte the lond of Egipt, whiche in deth in to deth, and whiche in caitiftee in to caitiftee, and whiche in swerd in to swerd.

12 Et j’allumerai un feu dans les maisons des dieux d’Égypte, et [Nebucadretsar] les brûlera, et les emmènera captifs; et il se revêtira du pays d’Égypte comme un berger se revêt de son vêtement, et il en sortira en paix.

And he schal kindle fier in the templis of goddis of Egipt, and he schal brenne tho templis, and schal lede hem prisoneris; and the lond of Egipt schal be wlappid, as a scheepherd is wlappid in his mentil; and he schal go out fro thennus in pees.

13 Et il brisera les stèles de Beth-Shémesh, qui est dans le pays d’Égypte, et brûlera par le feu les maisons des dieux de l’Égypte.

And he schal al to-breke the ymagis of the hous of the sunne, that ben in the lond of Egipt; and he schal brenne in fier the templis of the goddis of Egipt.
