Ézéchiel 7
1 Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said]
2 Et toi, fils d’homme! Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel, à la terre d’Israël: Une fin!… la fin vient sur les quatre coins du pays.
“You human, this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say to [the people] [MTY] of Israel: All of Israel will soon be destroyed.
3 Maintenant la fin [vient] sur toi, et j’enverrai sur toi ma colère, et je te jugerai selon tes voies, et je mettrai sur toi toutes tes abominations.
[people of Israel], the end has come. I will punish you severely. I will judge you for all the wicked things that you have done, and pay you back for your disgusting behavior.
4 Et mon œil n’aura point compassion de toi, et je n’épargnerai pas; mais je mettrai tes voies sur toi, et tes abominations seront au milieu de toi; et vous saurez que je suis l’Éternel.
I will not pity you or act mercifully toward you. I will [surely] punish you for your wicked behavior [DOU]. Then you will know that [it has happened because] I, Yahweh, [have done it].”
5 Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Un mal, un mal unique! Voici, il est venu!
This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “You will soon experience many terrible disasters!
6 La fin est venue, la fin est venue! Elle se réveille contre toi; voici, elle vient!
This will be the [of Israel]; your country will be finished! And your [lives] will be ended [PRS]!
7 Ton destin est venu sur toi, habitant du pays; le temps est venu, le jour est proche, – le trouble, et non le cri joyeux des montagnes.
It will be the end of you people who live in the [of Israel]. The time has come; the [when you will be destroyed] is near. At that time [the people who worship idols] on the mountains will not be happy; they will panic.
8 Maintenant, bientôt, je verserai sur toi ma fureur, et je consommerai ma colère contre toi, et je te jugerai selon tes voies, et je mettrai sur toi toutes tes abominations.
I am very angry with you and am about to pour out my punishment [MTY] on you. I will judge you for all the wicked things that you have done and pay you back for your disgusting behavior.
9 Et mon œil n’aura point compassion, et je ne t’épargnerai pas; je te rendrai selon tes voies, et tes abominations seront au milieu de toi; et vous saurez que c’est moi, l’Éternel, qui frappe.
I will not pity you or act mercifully toward you. I will surely punish you for your wicked behavior [DOU]. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who have punished you.
10 Voici le jour, voici, il est arrivé! Le destin a germé, la verge a fleuri, la fierté s’est épanouie.
The [of your punishment] is here! It has arrived! Disasters have come.
11 La violence s’élève pour être une verge de méchanceté. [Il ne reste] rien d’eux, ni de leur foule bruyante, ni de leur abondance de biens, ni de la magnificence au milieu d’eux.
People are acting violently and doing more wicked things. And nothing that belongs to those people will be left, none of their money, nothing that is valuable.
12 Le temps est venu, le jour s’est approché; que celui qui achète ne se réjouisse pas, et que celui qui vend ne mène pas deuil; car il y a une ardente colère sur toute sa foule bruyante.
Now is the time; that day has arrived.
13 Car celui qui vend ne rentrera pas en possession de ce qui a été vendu, serait-il même encore en vie parmi les vivants; car la vision est touchant toute sa foule bruyante, elle ne sera point révoquée, et personne par son iniquité ne fortifiera sa vie.
People who buy things should not [because of buying things very cheaply], and those who sell things should not be [because they had to sell things cheaply], [Yahweh] will be punishing [MTY] everyone. During the rest of their lives, people who sell some of their property will never be able to buy it back, because I, Yahweh, will never change my mind about what I have declared; because of your sins, [I will destroy] all of you people.
14 Ils ont sonné de la trompette et ont tout préparé; mais personne ne marche au combat, parce que l’ardeur de ma colère est sur toute sa foule bruyante.
Even though [soldiers] blow [to prepare for] a battle, no soldier will go into a battle, because I will have killed all of them.
15 L’épée est au-dehors, et la peste et la famine sont au-dedans: celui qui est aux champs mourra par l’épée; et celui qui est dans la ville, la famine et la peste le dévoreront.
[When those things happen, your enemies] will be [the city] with their swords, and there will be plagues and famines [the city]. [who flee from the city] into the countryside will be killed [their enemies’] swords, and those who stay in the city will die from famines and plagues.
16 Et leurs réchappés échapperont, et seront sur les montagnes comme les colombes des vallées, tous gémissant, chacun pour son iniquité.
Those who survive and escape will flee to the mountains, and they all will moan like doves because of their sins.
17 Toutes les mains deviendront lâches, et tous les genoux se fondront en eau.
[Because everyone will be very afraid, ] all the people’s hands will become limp and their knees will become very weak.
18 Ils se ceindront de sacs, et le frisson les couvrira; la honte sera sur tous les visages, et toutes leurs têtes seront chauves.
They will put on clothes made from rough cloth, and they will be terrified. Their faces will show that they are ashamed, and they will shave their [to show that they are very sad].
19 Ils jetteront leur argent dans les rues, et leur or sera [rejeté] comme une impureté; leur argent ni leur or ne pourra les délivrer au jour de la fureur de l’Éternel; ils ne rassasieront pas leurs âmes, et ne rempliront pas leurs entrailles, car c’est ce qui a été la pierre d’achoppement de leur iniquité.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and consider that their gold is only like [SIM] garbage, because they will realize that their silver and gold will not be able to rescue them when I, Yahweh, punish them. They will not be able to use their gold and silver to buy things to fill their stomachs, because having a lot of gold and silver has led them to sin.
20 Et de la beauté de son ornement il a fait sa gloire; mais ils y ont fait des images de leurs abominations [et] de leurs choses exécrables. C’est pourquoi j’en ai fait pour eux une impureté abjecte;
They were proud of their beautiful jewelry, and they used it to make their detestable idols and disgusting [of their gods]. So I will cause them to be disgusted with those things.
21 et je l’ai livrée en pillage aux mains des étrangers, et pour butin aux méchants de la terre, et ils la profaneront.
I will give their silver and gold to foreigners who invade your country and take away your valuable treasures. I will give those things to wicked people, and they will do disgraceful things to those treasures that I give them.
22 Et je détournerai d’eux ma face; et ils profaneront mon lieu secret; et les violents y entreront et le profaneront.
I will not (interfere with/stop) [IDM] robbers when they enter my sacred temple and desecrate it.
23 Fabrique la chaîne; car le pays est plein de coulpe de sang, et la ville est pleine de violence.
Prepare chains to be fastened on you. People are being murdered [MTY] throughout the country, and people are acting violently throughout the city.
24 Et je ferai venir les iniques des nations, et ils posséderont leurs maisons; et je ferai cesser l’orgueil des forts, et leurs sanctuaires seront profanés.
So I will bring armies of the nations whose people are extremely wicked to occupy the houses of the Israeli people. I will cause Israeli [who think that they] are [IRO] strong/mighty to no longer be proud. Your enemies will cause your places of worship to no longer be acceptable to be used.
25 La destruction vient; et ils chercheront la paix, mais il n’y en aura point.
When your enemies cause you to be terrified, you will plead for them to make peace, but there will be no peace.
26 Il viendra calamité sur calamité, et il y aura rumeur sur rumeur, et ils chercheront [quelque] vision de la part d’un prophète; mais la loi est périe de chez le sacrificateur, et le conseil, de chez les anciens.
You will experience many disasters, and you will continually hear [about disasters that are happening in other places]. People will plead with prophets to tell them what visions they have received, [but the prophets will not have received any visions]. Priests will no longer teach people the [that I gave to Moses].
27 Le roi mènera deuil, et les princes seront vêtus de stupeur, et les mains du peuple du pays trembleront: je leur ferai selon leur voie, et je les jugerai par leurs propres jugements; et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.
Your king will mourn, and his son will no [longer] [that good things will happen]. The hands of people throughout the country will tremble. And I will do to them what they deserve for their wicked behavior. I will [and condemn] them the same way they have [and condemned] others. Then they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
