Ézéchiel 42
1 Et il me fit sortir dans le parvis extérieur par le chemin qui va vers le nord; et il m’amena aux cellules qui étaient vis-à-vis de la place séparée, et qui étaient vis-à-vis du bâtiment, vers le nord,
And he bringeth me forth unto the outer court, the way northward, and he bringeth me in unto the chamber that [is] over-against the separate place, and that [is] over-against the building at the north.
2 en face de la longueur, qui était de 100 coudées: l’entrée était au nord; et la largeur était de 50 coudées,
At the front of the length [is] a hundred cubits [at] the north opening, and the breadth fifty cubits.
3 vis-à-vis des 20 [coudées] qu’avait le parvis intérieur, et vis-à-vis du pavement qui était au parvis extérieur; il y avait galerie contre galerie, au troisième [étage];
Over-against the twenty [cubits] that are to the inner court, and over-against the pavement that [is] to the outer court, [is] gallery over-against gallery, in the three [storeys].
4 et devant les cellules, un passage de dix coudées de largeur; vers l’intérieur, un chemin de 100 coudées; et leurs entrées étaient au nord.
And at the front of the chambers [is] a walk of ten cubits in breadth unto the inner part, a way of one cubit, and their openings [are] at the north.
5 Et les cellules supérieures étaient raccourcies (parce que les galeries en ôtaient [une portion]) en comparaison des inférieures et de celles du milieu du bâtiment.
And the upper chambers [are] short, for the galleries contain more than these, than the lower, and than the middle one, of the building;
6 Car elles étaient à trois étages, et n’avaient pas de colonnes comme les colonnes des parvis; c’est pourquoi [le troisième étage] était en retraite, en comparaison des [cellules] inférieures et de celles du milieu, depuis le sol.
for they [are] threefold, and they have no pillars as the pillars of the court, therefore it hath been kept back — more than the lower and than the middle one — from the ground.
7 Et le mur qui était en dehors, le long des cellules, du côté du parvis extérieur, en face des cellules, avait une longueur de 50 coudées.
As to the wall that [is] at the outside, over-against the chambers, the way of the outer-court at the front of the chambers, its length [is] fifty cubits;
8 Car la longueur des cellules qui [aboutissaient] au parvis extérieur était de 50 coudées; mais voici, en face du temple, elle était de 100 coudées;
for the length of the chambers that [are] to the outer court [is] fifty cubits, and of those on the front of the temple a hundred cubits.
9 et, au-dessous de ces cellules, l’entrée était du côté de l’orient, lorsqu’on y arrivait du parvis extérieur.
And under these chambers [is] the entrance from the east, in one's going into them from the outer court.
10 Dans la largeur du mur du parvis, du côté du midi, vis-à-vis de la place séparée et vis-à-vis du bâtiment, il y avait des cellules,
In the breadth of the wall of the court eastward, unto the front of the separate place, and unto the front of the building, [are] chambers.
11 et un passage devant elles, selon la forme des cellules qui étaient du côté du nord, selon leur longueur, selon leur largeur, et [selon] toutes leurs issues, et selon leurs ordonnances, et selon leurs portes d’entrée.
And the way before them [is] as the appearance of the chambers that [are] northward, according to their length so [is] their breadth, and all their outlets, and according to their fashions, and according to their openings.
12 Et selon les entrées des cellules qui étaient du côté du midi, il y avait une entrée à la tête du chemin, [du] chemin [qui était] en face du mur correspondant, chemin venant de l’orient, quand on venait vers les [cellules].
And according to the openings of the chambers that [are] southward [is] an opening at the head of the way, the way directly in the front of the wall eastward in entering them.
13 Et il me dit: Les cellules du nord [et] les cellules du midi, qui sont en face de la place séparée, ce sont des cellules saintes où les sacrificateurs qui s’approchent de l’Éternel mangeront les choses très saintes; ils déposeront là les choses très saintes: l’offrande de gâteau, et le sacrifice pour le péché, et le sacrifice pour le délit, car le lieu est saint.
And he saith unto me, 'The north chambers, the south chambers, that [are] at the front of the separate place, they [are] holy chambers, where the priests (who [are] near to Jehovah) eat the most holy things, there they place the most holy things, and the present, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering, for the place [is] holy.
14 Quand les sacrificateurs seront entrés, ils ne sortiront pas du lieu saint dans le parvis extérieur; mais ils déposeront là leurs vêtements dans lesquels ils font le service, car ils sont saints; et ils revêtiront d’autres vêtements, et s’approcheront de ce qui est pour le peuple.
In the priests' going in, they come not out from the sanctuary unto the outer court, and there they place their garments with which they minister, for they [are] holy, and have put on other garments, and have drawn near unto that which [is] for the people.'
15 Et quand il eut achevé de mesurer la maison intérieure, il me fit sortir par le chemin de la porte qui regardait vers l’orient; et il mesura [l’enceinte] tout autour.
And he hath finished the measurements of the inner house, and hath brought me forth the way of the gate whose front [is] eastward, and he hath measured it all round about.
16 Il mesura le côté oriental avec la canne à mesurer: 500 cannes, avec la canne à mesurer, tout autour.
He hath measured the east side with the measuring-reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed round about.
17 Il mesura le côté septentrional: 500 cannes, avec la canne à mesurer, [tout] autour.
He hath measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
18 Il mesura le côté méridional: 500 cannes, avec la canne à mesurer.
The south side he hath measured, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed.
19 Il se tourna vers le côté occidental, [et] mesura 500 cannes avec la canne à mesurer.
He hath turned round unto the west side, he hath measured five hundred reeds with the measuring-reed.
20 Il la mesura des quatre côtés. Elle avait un mur tout à l’entour: la longueur, 500, et la largeur, 500, pour séparer ce qui était saint et ce qui était profane.
At the four sides he hath measured it, a wall [is] to it all round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to separate between the holy and the profane place.
