Ézéchiel 30

1 Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:

The worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,

2 Fils d’homme, prophétise, et dis: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Hurlez: Ah! quel jour!

Sonne of man, prophesie, and say, Thus sayth the Lord God, Howle and cry, Wo be vnto this day.

3 Car le jour est proche; oui, le jour de l’Éternel est proche, un jour de nuées: c’est le temps des nations.

For the day is neere, and the day of the Lord is at hand, a cloudie day, and it shall be the time of the heathen.

4 Et l’épée viendra sur l’Égypte, et il y aura de l’angoisse dans l’Éthiopie, quand ils tomberont blessés à mort en Égypte, et qu’on ôtera sa multitude, et que ses fondements seront détruits.

And the sword shall come vpon Egypt, and feare shall be in Ethiopia, when the slaine shall fall in Egypt, when they shall take away her multitude, and when her foundations shall be broken downe.

5 Cush, et Puth, et Lud, et tout le peuple mélangé, et Cub, et les fils du pays de l’alliance, tomberont par l’épée avec eux.

Ethiopia and Phut, and Lud, and all the common people, and Cub, and the men of the land, that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Les appuis de l’Égypte tomberont, et l’orgueil de sa force sera abaissé; ils tomberont au milieu d’elle par l’épée, depuis Migdol à Syène, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.

Thus sayth the Lord, They also that mainteine Egypt, shall fall, and the pride of her power shall come downe: from the towre of Seueneh shall they fall by the sword, sayth the Lord God.

7 Et ils seront désolés au milieu des pays désolés, et ses villes seront entre les villes dévastées.

And they shall be desolate in the middes of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the middes of the cities that are wasted.

8 Et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel, quand j’aurai mis le feu en Égypte, et que tous ceux qui l’aident seront brisés.

And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I haue set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

9 En ce jour-là des messagers sortiront de devant moi sur des navires pour effrayer l’Éthiopie [dans sa] sécurité; et il y aura au milieu d’eux de l’angoisse comme au jour de l’Égypte; car voici, il vient.

In that day shall there messengers go forth from me in shippes, to make the carelesse Mores aftaide, and feare shall come vpon them, as in the day of Egypt: for loe, it commeth.

10 Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Je mettrai fin aussi à la multitude de l’Égypte par la main de Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone.

Thus sayth the Lord God, I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel.

11 Lui, et son peuple avec lui, les terribles d’entre les nations, seront amenés pour détruire le pays; et ils tireront leurs épées contre l’Égypte, et rempliront le pays de blessés à mort.

For he and his people with him, euen the terrible nations shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall drawe their swordes against Egypt, and fill the land with the slaine.

12 Et je mettrai les fleuves à sec, et je vendrai le pays en la main des méchants, et, par la main des étrangers, je désolerai le pays et tout ce qu’il contient. Moi, l’Éternel, j’ai parlé.

And I will make the riuers drye, and fell the land into the hands of the wicked, and I will make the land waste, and all that therein is by the hands of strangers: I the Lord haue spoken it.

13 Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Je détruirai aussi les idoles, et je mettrai fin aux images de Noph; et il n’y aura plus de prince du pays d’Égypte; et je mettrai la frayeur dans le pays d’Égypte;

Thus saith the Lord God, I will also destroy the idoles, and I will cause their idoles to cease out of Noph, and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt, and I will send a feare in the land of Egypt.

14 et je désolerai Pathros, et je mettrai le feu dans Tsoan, et j’exécuterai des jugements dans No;

And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and I will execute iudgement in No.

15 et je verserai ma fureur sur Sin, la forteresse de l’Égypte, et je retrancherai la multitude de No;

And I will powre my wrath vpon Sin, which is the strength of Egypt: and I will destroy the multitude of No.

16 et je mettrai le feu en Égypte; Sin sera dans une grande angoisse, et No sera ouverte par des brèches, et il y aura à Noph des ennemis en plein jour.

And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall haue great sorowe and No shalbe destroyed, and Noph shall haue sorowes dayly.

17 Les jeunes hommes d’Aven et de Pi-Béseth tomberont par l’épée, et elles-mêmes iront en captivité.

The yong men of Auen, and of Phibeseth shall fall by the sworde: and these cities shall goe into captiuitie.

18 Et à Takhpanès le jour sera obscurci lorsque j’y romprai le joug de l’Égypte, et que l’orgueil de sa force y aura cessé; une nuée la couvrira elle-même, et ses filles iront en captivité.

At Tehaphnehes the day shall restraine his light, when I shall breake there the barres of Egypt: and when the pompe of her power shall cease in her, the cloude shall couer her, and her daughters shall goe into captiuitie.

19 Et j’exécuterai des jugements en Égypte; et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.

Thus will I execute iudgements in Egypt, and they shall knowe that I am the Lord.

20 Et il arriva, la onzième année, au premier [mois], le septième [jour] du mois, que la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:

And in the eleuenth yeere, in the first moneth, and in the seuenth day of the moneth, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

21 Fils d’homme, j’ai cassé le bras du Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, et voici, il n’a point été bandé pour y appliquer des remèdes, pour y mettre des ligatures pour le bander, afin de le fortifier pour qu’il tienne l’épée.

Sonne of man, I haue broken the arme of Pharaoh King of Egypt: and lo, it shall not be boud vp to be healed, neither shall they put a roule to bind it, and so make it strong, to hold the sworde.

22 C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Voici, j’en veux au Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, et je lui casserai les bras, celui qui est fort et celui qui est cassé, et je ferai tomber l’épée de sa main.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I come against Pharaoh King of Egypt, and will breake his arme, that was strong, but is broken, and I will cause the sworde to fall out of his hande.

23 Et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations et je les disséminerai dans les pays.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countreys.

24 Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et je mettrai mon épée dans sa main; et je casserai les bras du Pharaon, et il gémira devant lui des gémissements d’un blessé à mort.

And I will strengthen the arme of the King of Babel, and put my sworde in his hand, but I will breake Pharaohs armes, and he shall cast out sighings, as the sighings of him, that is wounded before him.

25 Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et les bras du Pharaon tomberont. Et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel, quand j’aurai mis mon épée dans la main du roi de Babylone, et qu’il l’aura étendue sur le pays d’Égypte.

But I will strengthen the armes of the king of Babel, and the armes of Pharaoh shall fall downe, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I shall put my sworde into the hand of the King of Babel, and he shall stretch it out vpon the land of Egypt.

26 Et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations, et je les disséminerai dans les pays; et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among ye countreys, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord.
