Ézéchiel 22
1 Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:
Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
2 Et toi, fils d’homme, jugeras-tu, jugeras-tu la ville de sang? et lui feras-tu connaître toutes ses abominations?
Now thou sonne of man, wilt thou iudge, wilt thou iudge this bloody citie? wilt thou shew her all her abominations?
3 Tu diras: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Ville, qui verses le sang au milieu de toi, afin que ton temps vienne, et qui as fait des idoles chez toi pour te rendre impure,
Then say, Thus sayth the Lord God, The citie sheddeth blood in the middes of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against her selfe to pollute her selfe.
4 tu t’es rendue coupable par ton sang que tu as versé, et tu t’es rendue impure par tes idoles que tu as faites, et tu as fait approcher tes jours, et tu es parvenue à tes années: c’est pourquoi je t’ai livrée à l’opprobre des nations et à la raillerie de tous les pays.
Thou hast offended in thy blood, that thou hast shed, and hast polluted thy selfe in thine idols, which thou hast made, and thou hast caused thy dayes to draw neere, and art come vnto thy terme: therefore haue I made thee a reproch to the heathen, and a mocking to all countreys.
5 Ceux qui sont près et ceux qui sont loin de toi se moqueront de toi, qui es impure de renommée, [et] pleine de trouble.
Those that be neere, and those that be farre from thee, shall mocke thee, which art vile in name and sore in affliction.
6 Voici, les princes d’Israël étaient au-dedans de toi pour verser le sang, chacun selon son pouvoir.
Beholde, the princes of Israel euery one in thee was ready to his power, to shed blood.
7 Ils ont méprisé père et mère au-dedans de toi; ils ont agi oppressivement envers l’étranger au milieu de toi; ils ont foulé l’orphelin et la veuve au-dedans de toi.
In thee haue they despised father and mother: in the middes of thee haue they oppressed the stranger: in thee haue they vexed the fatherlesse and the widowe.
8 Tu as méprisé mes choses saintes, et tu as profané mes sabbats.
Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast polluted my Sabbaths.
9 Il y a eu au-dedans de toi des hommes calomniateurs pour verser le sang; et au-dedans de toi ils ont mangé sur les montagnes; ils ont commis des infamies au milieu de toi;
In thee are men that cary tales to shed blood: in thee are they that eate vpon the mountaines: in ye mids of thee they comit abomination.
10 au-dedans de toi ils ont découvert la nudité d’un père; au-dedans de toi ils ont humilié la femme séparée à cause de ses mois.
In thee haue they discouered their fathers shame: in thee haue they vexed her that was polluted in her floures.
11 Et l’un a commis une abomination avec la femme de son prochain, et l’autre a rendu impure sa belle-fille par une infamie, et un autre, au-dedans de toi, a humilié sa sœur, fille de son père.
And euery one hath committed abomination with his neighbours wife, and euery one hath wickedly defiled his daughter in lawe, and in thee hath euery man forced his owne sister, euen his fathers daughter.
12 Au-dedans de toi, ils ont reçu des présents pour verser le sang; tu as pris intérêt et usure, et tu as fait par l’extorsion un gain déshonnête aux dépens de ton prochain; et tu m’as oublié, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
In thee haue they taken giftes to shed blood: thou hast taken vsurie and the encrease, and thou hast defrauded thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.
13 Et voici, j’ai frappé des mains contre ton gain déshonnête que tu as fait, et contre le sang qui est versé au milieu de toi.
Beholde, therefore I haue smitten mine hands vpon thy couetousnesse, that thou hast vsed, and vpon the blood, which hath bene in the middes of thee.
14 Ton cœur tiendra-t-il ferme, ou tes mains seront-elles fortes, aux jours où j’agirai contre toi? Moi, l’Éternel, j’ai parlé, et je le ferai.
Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the dayes that I shall haue to doe with thee? I the Lord haue spoken it, and will doe it.
15 Et je te disperserai parmi les nations, et je te disséminerai dans les pays, et je consumerai du milieu de toi ton impureté.
And I wil scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countreys, and will cause thy filthines to cease from thee.
16 Et tu seras profanée par toi-même aux yeux des nations, et tu sauras que je suis l’Éternel.
And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thy selfe in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.
17 Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:
And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
18 Fils d’homme, la maison d’Israël est devenue pour moi des scories; eux tous sont de l’airain, et de l’étain, et du fer, et du plomb, au milieu du fourneau; ils sont devenus des scories d’argent.
Sonne of man, the house of Israel is vnto me as drosse: all they are brasse, and tinne, and yron, and leade in the mids of the fornace: they are euen the drosse of siluer.
19 C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Parce que vous êtes tous devenus des scories, à cause de cela, voici, je vous rassemble au milieu de Jérusalem.
Therefore, thus sayth the Lord God, Because ye are all as drosse, beholde, therefore I will gather you in the middes of Ierusalem.
20 [Comme] on rassemble l’argent, et l’airain, et le fer, et le plomb, et l’étain, au milieu d’un fourneau, pour souffler le feu dessus afin de les fondre, ainsi je vous rassemblerai dans ma colère et dans ma fureur, et je vous laisserai [là], et je vous fondrai.
As they gather siluer and brasse, and yron, and leade, and tinne into the middes of the fornace, to blowe the fire vpon it to melt it, so wil I gather you in mine anger and in my wrath, and wil put you there and melt you.
21 Et je vous assemblerai, et je soufflerai contre vous le feu de mon courroux, et vous serez fondus au milieu de Jérusalem.
I wil gather you, I say, and blowe the fire of my wrath vpon you, and you shalbe melted in the mids thereof.
22 Comme l’argent est fondu au milieu du fourneau, ainsi vous serez fondus au milieu d’elle; et vous saurez que moi, l’Éternel, j’ai versé ma fureur sur vous.
As siluer is melted in the mids of the fornace, so shall ye be melted in the mids thereof, and ye shall knowe, that I the Lord haue powred out my wrath vpon you.
23 Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:
And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
24 Fils d’homme, dis-lui: Tu es un pays qui n’est pas purifié, qui n’est pas arrosé de pluie au jour de l’indignation.
Sonne of man, say vnto her; Thou art the land, that is vncleane, and not rained vpon in the day of wrath.
25 Il y a une conjuration de ses prophètes au milieu d’elle, comme un lion rugissant qui déchire la proie; ils dévorent les âmes, ils enlèvent les richesses et les choses précieuses; ils multiplient ses veuves au milieu d’elle.
There is a conspiracie of her prophets in the mids thereof like a roaring lyon, rauening the praye: they haue deuoured soules: they haue taken the riches and precious things: they haue made her many widowes in the mids thereof.
26 Ses sacrificateurs font violence à ma loi et profanent mes choses saintes; ils ne font pas de différence entre ce qui est saint et ce qui est profane, et ils ne font pas connaître la différence entre ce qui est impur et ce qui est pur; et ils cachent leurs yeux de mes sabbats, et je suis profané au milieu d’eux.
Her Priests haue broken my Lawe, and haue defiled mine holy things: they haue put no difference betweene the holy and prophane, neither discerned betweene the vncleane, and the cleane, and haue hid their eyes from my Sabbaths, and I am prophaned among them.
27 Ses princes, au milieu d’elle, sont comme des loups qui déchirent la proie, pour verser le sang, pour détruire les âmes, afin de faire un gain déshonnête.
Her princes in the mids thereof are like wolues, rauening the praye to shed blood, and to destroy soules for their owne couetous lucre.
28 Et ses prophètes leur ont fait des enduits de mauvais mortier, ayant des visions de vanité et devinant pour eux le mensonge, disant: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel; – et l’Éternel n’a point parlé.
And her prophets haue dawbed them with vntempered morter, seeing vanities, and diuining lies vnto them, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God, when the Lord had not spoken.
29 Le peuple du pays pratique l’extorsion et commet la rapine, et foule l’affligé et le pauvre; et ils oppriment l’étranger contrairement à tout droit.
The people of the land haue violently oppressed by spoyling and robbing, and haue vexed the poore and the needy: yea, they haue oppressed the stranger against right.
30 Et j’ai cherché parmi eux un homme qui ferme l’enceinte, et qui se tienne à la brèche devant moi pour le pays, afin que je ne le détruise pas; mais je n’en ai point trouvé.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make vp the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.
31 Et je verserai sur eux mon indignation; dans le feu de mon courroux je les consumerai, je ferai retomber leur voie sur leur tête, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
Therefore haue I powred out mine indignation vpon them, and consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their owne wayes haue I rendred vpon their heads, sayth the Lord God.
