Amos 2

1 Ainsi dit l’Éternel: À cause de trois transgressions de Moab, et à cause de quatre, je ne le révoquerai point, parce qu’il a brûlé, [réduit] en chaux les os du roi d’Édom;

Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Moab and on four not I will revoke it because burned he [the] bones of [the] king of Edom into lime.

2 et j’enverrai un feu sur Moab, et il dévorera les palais de Kerijoth, et Moab mourra au milieu du tumulte, au milieu des cris, au son de la trompette,

And I will send forth a fire on Moab and it will consume [the] fortresses of Kerioth and it will die in uproar Moab with a shout of alarm with [the] sound of a trumpet.

3 et je retrancherai le juge du milieu de lui, et je tuerai tous ses princes avec lui, dit l’Éternel.

And I will cut off a judge from midst its and all officials its I will kill with him he says Yahweh.

4 Ainsi dit l’Éternel: À cause de trois transgressions de Juda, et à cause de quatre, je ne le révoquerai point, parce qu’ils ont méprisé la loi de l’Éternel et n’ont pas gardé ses statuts, et que leurs mensonges, après lesquels leurs pères ont marché, les ont fait errer;

Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Judah and on four not I will revoke it because have rejected they [the] law of Yahweh and statutes his not they have kept and they have misled them lies their which they walked ancestors their after them.

5 et j’enverrai un feu dans Juda, et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem.

And I will send forth a fire on Judah and it will consume [the] fortresses of Jerusalem.

6 Ainsi dit l’Éternel: À cause de trois transgressions d’Israël, et à cause de quatre, je ne le révoquerai point, parce qu’ils ont vendu le juste pour de l’argent, et le pauvre pour une paire de sandales,

Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Israel and on four not I will revoke it because sold they for silver [the] righteous and [the] needy for sake of a pair of sandals.

7 eux qui désirent ardemment [de voir] la poussière de la terre sur la tête des chétifs, et qui pervertissent le chemin des débonnaires; et un homme et son père vont vers la [même] fille, pour profaner mon saint nom;

Those [who] trample on [the] dust of [the] earth on [the] head of poor [people] and [the] way of humble [people] they turn aside and a man and father his they go into the young woman so as to profane [the] name of holiness my.

8 et ils s’étendent à côté de chaque autel, sur des vêtements pris en gage, et boivent dans la maison de leur dieu le vin de ceux qui ont été mis à l’amende.

And on garments taken in pledge they stretch out beside every altar and [the] wine of fines they drink [the] house of god their.

9 Mais moi, j’ai détruit devant eux l’Amoréen, dont la taille était comme la hauteur des cèdres, et qui était fort comme les chênes; et j’ai détruit son fruit en haut et ses racines en bas.

And I I destroyed the Amorite[s] from before them who [was] like [the] height of cedars height his and [is] strong he like oaks and I destroyed fruit his above and roots his beneath.

10 Et moi, je vous ai fait monter du pays d’Égypte, et je vous ai fait marcher dans le désert 40 ans, pour posséder le pays de l’Amoréen.

And I I brought up you from [the] land of Egypt and I led you in the wilderness forty year[s] to take possession of [the] land of the Amorite[s].

11 Et j’ai suscité des prophètes d’entre vos fils, et d’entre vos jeunes gens, des nazaréens. N’en est-il pas ainsi, fils d’Israël? dit l’Éternel.

And I raised up some of sons your to prophets and some of young men your to Nazirites ¿ also not [is] this O people of Israel [the] utterance of Yahweh.

12 Et vous avez fait boire du vin aux nazaréens, et vous avez commandé aux prophètes, disant: Ne prophétisez pas.

And you made drink the Nazirites wine and to the prophets you commanded saying not you must prophesy.

13 Voici, je pèserai sur vous comme pèse le char plein de gerbes.

Here! I [am] about to make totter under you just as it totters the cart full itself cut grain.

14 Et la fuite manquera à celui qui est agile; et le fort n’affermira pas sa force; et l’homme vaillant ne sauvera pas sa vie;

And it will be lost a place of escape from a swift [person] and a strong [person] not he will make firm power his and a mighty [person] not he will save life his.

15 et celui qui manie l’arc ne tiendra pas ferme; et celui qui a les pieds agiles n’échappera pas; et celui qui monte le cheval ne sauvera pas sa vie;

And [the] handler of the bow not he will stand and a [person] swift on feet his not he will save and [the] rider of the horse not he will save life his.

16 et celui qui a le cœur plein de courage parmi les hommes vaillants s’enfuira nu en ce jour-là, dit l’Éternel.

And [the] [person] strong of heart his among the warriors naked he will flee on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh.
