1 Thessaloniciens 1

1 Paul, et Silvain, et Timothée, à l’assemblée des Thessaloniciens, en Dieu le Père et dans le seigneur Jésus Christ: Grâce et paix à vous!

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy To the church of the Thessalonians in God [the] Father and in [the] Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace (from of God Father of us and Lord Jesus Christ. *K*)

2 Nous rendons toujours grâces à Dieu pour vous tous, faisant mention de vous dans nos prières,

We give thanks to God always concerning all of you mention (of you *k*) making in the prayers of us,

3 nous souvenant sans cesse de votre œuvre de foi, de votre travail d’amour, et de votre patience d’espérance de notre seigneur Jésus Christ, devant notre Dieu et Père,

unceasingly remembering your work of faith and labor of love and the endurance of the hope of the Lord of us Jesus Christ before the God and Father of us;

4 sachant, frères aimés de Dieu, votre élection.

knowing, brothers beloved by (*no*) God, the election of you;

5 Car notre évangile n’est pas venu à vous en parole seulement, mais aussi en puissance, et dans l’Esprit Saint, et dans une grande plénitude d’assurance, ainsi que vous savez quels nous avons été parmi vous pour l’amour de vous.

because the gospel of us not came to you in word only but also in power and in [the] Spirit Holy and with full assurance much even as you know what we were among you on account of you;

6 Et vous êtes devenus nos imitateurs et ceux du Seigneur, ayant reçu la parole, [accompagnée] de grandes tribulations, avec la joie de l’Esprit Saint;

And you yourselves imitators of us became and of the Lord having received the word in tribulation much with [the] joy of [the] Spirit Holy,

7 de sorte que vous êtes devenus des modèles pour tous ceux qui croient dans la Macédoine et dans l’Achaïe.

so as for to became you (an example *N(K)O*) to all the believing [ones] in Macedonia and (in *no*) Achaia.

8 Car la parole du Seigneur a retenti de chez vous, non seulement dans la Macédoine et dans l’Achaïe, mais, en tous lieux, votre foi envers Dieu s’est répandue, de sorte que nous n’avons pas besoin d’en rien dire.

From you for has sounded forth the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and (in *no*) Achaia, but (also *k*) in every place the faith of you toward God has gone abroad, so as for not need to have us to say anything.

9 Car eux-mêmes racontent de nous quelle entrée nous avons eue auprès de vous, et comment vous vous êtes tournés des idoles vers Dieu, pour servir le Dieu vivant et vrai,

They themselves for concerning us report what reception (we had *N(k)O*) from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve [the] God living and true

10 et pour attendre des cieux son Fils qu’il a ressuscité d’entre les morts, Jésus, qui nous délivre de la colère qui vient.

and to await the Son of Him from the heavens, whom He raised out from the dead, Jesus who is delivering us (from *N(k)O*) the wrath which is coming.
