1 Samuel 12

1 Et Samuel dit à tout Israël: Voici, j’ai écouté votre voix en tout ce que vous m’avez dit, et j’ai établi un roi sur vous.

And he said Samuel to all Israel here! I have listened to voice your to all that you have said to me and I have made king over you a king.

2 Et maintenant, voici, le roi marche devant vous; et moi, je suis vieux et j’ai blanchi; et voici, mes fils sont avec vous; et moi, j’ai marché devant vous depuis ma jeunesse jusqu’à ce jour.

And now here! the king - [is] walking about before you and I I am old and I am gray haired and sons my here they [are] with you and I I have walked about before you since youth my until the day this.

3 Me voici, témoignez contre moi, devant l’Éternel et devant son oint. De qui ai-je pris le bœuf? ou de qui ai-je pris l’âne? ou à qui ai-je fait tort? à qui ai-je fait violence? ou de la main de qui ai-je pris un présent pour que par lui j’aie fermé mes yeux? et je vous le rendrai.

Here [am] I testify against me before Yahweh and before anointed his [the] ox of - whom? have I taken and [the] donkey of whom? have I taken and whom? have I oppressed whom? have I crushed and from [the] hand of whom? have I taken a ransom so I may hide eyes my by it so I may restore [it] to you.

4 Et ils dirent: Tu ne nous as point fait tort, et tu ne nous as point fait violence, et tu n’as rien pris de la main de personne.

And they said not you have oppressed us and not you have crushed us and not you have taken from [the] hand of anyone anything.

5 Et il leur dit: L’Éternel est témoin contre vous, et son oint est témoin aujourd’hui, que vous n’avez rien trouvé dans ma main. Et ils dirent: [Il en est] témoin.

And he said to them [is] a witness Yahweh on you and [is] a witness anointed his the day this that not you have found in hand my anything and someone said [he is] a witness.

6 Et Samuel dit au peuple: C’est l’Éternel qui a établi Moïse et Aaron, et qui a fait monter vos pères du pays d’Égypte.

And he said Samuel to the people Yahweh who he appointed Moses and Aaron and who he brought up ancestors your from [the] land of Egypt.

7 Et maintenant, présentez-vous, et je vous jugerai devant l’Éternel au sujet de tous les actes justes de l’Éternel, qu’il a opérés envers vous et envers vos pères.

And therefore present yourselves so let me enter into judgment with you before Yahweh all [the] righteousness of Yahweh which he did with you and with ancestors your.

8 Quand Jacob fut entré en Égypte, vos pères crièrent à l’Éternel, et l’Éternel envoya Moïse et Aaron; et ils firent sortir vos pères hors d’Égypte, et les firent habiter dans ce lieu-ci.

Just when he went Jacob Egypt and they cried out ancestors your to Yahweh and he sent Yahweh Moses and Aaron and they brought out ancestors your from Egypt and they caused to dwell them in the place this.

9 Et ils oublièrent l’Éternel, leur Dieu, et il les vendit en la main de Sisera, chef de l’armée de Hatsor, et en la main des Philistins, et en la main du roi de Moab, qui leur firent la guerre.

And they forgot Yahweh God their and he sold them in [the] hand of Sisera [the] commander of [the] army of Hazor and in [the] hand of [the] Philistines and in [the] hand of [the] king of Moab and they fought against them.

10 Et ils crièrent à l’Éternel, et dirent: Nous avons péché; car nous avons abandonné l’Éternel, et nous avons servi les Baals et les Ashtoreths. Et maintenant, délivre-nous de la main de nos ennemis, et nous te servirons.

And they cried out to Yahweh (and they said *Q(K)*) we have sinned for we have forsaken Yahweh and we have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth and now deliver us from [the] hand of enemies our so we may serve you.

11 Et l’Éternel envoya Jerubbaal, et Bedan, et Jephthé, et Samuel, et il vous délivra de la main de vos ennemis tout autour, et vous avez habité en sécurité.

And he sent Yahweh Jerub-Baal and Bedan and Jephthah and Samuel and he delivered you from [the] hand of enemies your from round about and you dwelt security.

12 Et vous avez vu que Nakhash, roi des fils d’Ammon, venait contre vous, et vous m’avez dit: Non, mais un roi régnera sur nous, – et l’Éternel, votre Dieu, était votre roi.

And you saw that Nahash [the] king of [the] people of Ammon [was] coming on you and you said to me In-deed a king he will reign over us and Yahweh God your [was] king your.

13 Et maintenant, voici le roi que vous avez choisi, que vous avez demandé; et voici, l’Éternel a mis un roi sur vous.

And now here! the king whom you have chosen whom you asked for and here! he has set Yahweh over you a king.

14 Si vous craignez l’Éternel et que vous le serviez, et que vous écoutiez sa voix, et que vous ne soyez pas rebelles au commandement de l’Éternel, alors vous, et le roi qui règne sur vous, vous irez après l’Éternel, votre Dieu.

If you will fear Yahweh and you will serve him and you will listen to voice his and not you will rebel against [the] mouth of Yahweh and you will be both you as well as the king who he has become king over you after Yahweh God your.

15 Mais si vous n’écoutez pas la voix de l’Éternel, et si vous vous rebellez contre le commandement de l’Éternel, alors la main de l’Éternel sera contre vous comme contre vos pères.

And if not you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh and you will rebel against [the] mouth of Yahweh and it will be [the] hand of Yahweh on you and on ancestors your.

16 Aussi, tenez-vous là maintenant, et voyez cette grande chose que l’Éternel va opérer devant vos yeux.

Also now stand and see the thing great this which Yahweh [is] about to do to eyes your.

17 N’est-ce pas aujourd’hui la moisson des froments? Je crierai à l’Éternel, et il enverra des tonnerres et de la pluie; et vous saurez et vous verrez que le mal que vous avez fait est grand aux yeux de l’Éternel, d’avoir demandé un roi pour vous.

¿ Not [is] [the] harvest of wheat this day I will call out to Yahweh so he may give thunder claps and rain and know and see that evil your [is] great which you have done in [the] eyes of Yahweh by asking for yourselves a king.

18 Et Samuel cria à l’Éternel, et l’Éternel envoya des tonnerres et de la pluie, ce jour-là; et tout le peuple craignit beaucoup l’Éternel et Samuel.

And he called out Samuel to Yahweh and he gave Yahweh thunder claps and rain on the day that and it feared all the people exceedingly Yahweh and Samuel.

19 Et tout le peuple dit à Samuel: Prie l’Éternel, ton Dieu, pour tes serviteurs, afin que nous ne mourions point; car, à tous nos péchés, nous avons ajouté ce mal d’avoir demandé un roi pour nous.

And they said all the people to Samuel pray for servants your to Yahweh God your and may not we die for we have added to all sins our an evil thing by asking for ourselves a king.

20 Et Samuel dit au peuple: Ne craignez pas. Vous avez fait tout ce mal, seulement ne vous détournez pas de l’Éternel, et servez l’Éternel de tout votre cœur;

And he said Samuel to the people may not you be afraid you you have done all the evil this nevertheless may not you turn aside from after Yahweh and you will serve Yahweh with all heart your.

21 et ne vous détournez point, car [ce serait vous en aller] après des choses de néant, qui ne profitent pas et ne délivrent pas, car ce sont des choses de néant.

And not you must turn aside for - after emptiness which not they will benefit and not they will rescue for [are] emptiness they.

22 Car l’Éternel, à cause de son grand nom, n’abandonnera point son peuple, parce que l’Éternel s’est plu à faire de vous son peuple.

For not he will abandon Yahweh people his for sake of name his great for he was determined Yahweh to make you for himself into a people.

23 Quant à moi aussi, loin de moi que je pèche contre l’Éternel, que je cesse de prier pour vous; mais je vous enseignerai le bon et le droit chemin.

Also I far be it to me from sinning to Yahweh from ceasing to pray for you and I will teach you [the] way of the good and the upright.

24 Seulement, craignez l’Éternel, et servez-le en vérité, de tout votre cœur; car voyez quelles grandes choses il a faites pour vous.

Only - fear Yahweh and you will serve him in faithfulness with all heart your for consider this: he has done great things with you.

25 Mais si vous vous adonnez au mal, vous périrez, vous et votre roi.

And if still you will do evil both you as well as king your you will be swept away.
