1 Rois 20
1 Et Ben-Hadad, roi de Syrie, rassembla toutes ses forces; et il y avait 32 rois avec lui, et des chevaux et des chars. Et il monta et assiégea Samarie, et lui fit la guerre.
and Ben-hadad Ben-hadad king Syria to gather [obj] all strength: soldiers his and thirty and two king with him and horse and chariot and to ascend: rise and to confine upon Samaria and to fight in/on/with her
2 Et il envoya des messagers à Achab, roi d’Israël, dans la ville;
and to send: depart messenger to(wards) Ahab king Israel [the] city [to] and to say to/for him thus to say Ben-hadad Ben-hadad
3 et il lui dit: Ainsi dit Ben-Hadad: Ton argent et ton or sont à moi, et tes femmes, et tes fils, les [plus] beaux, sont à moi.
silver: money your and gold your to/for me he/she/it and woman: wife your and son: child your [the] pleasant to/for me they(masc.)
4 Et le roi d’Israël répondit et dit: Selon ta parole, ô roi, mon seigneur, je suis à toi, moi et tout ce que j’ai.
and to answer king Israel and to say like/as word: speaking your lord my [the] king to/for you I and all which to/for me
5 Et les messagers revinrent et dirent: Ainsi a parlé Ben-Hadad, disant: Je t’ai envoyé dire en effet: Tu me donneras ton argent et ton or, et tes femmes, et tes fils;
and to return: again [the] messenger and to say thus to say Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to/for to say for to send: depart to(wards) you to/for to say silver: money your and gold your and woman: wife your and son: child your to/for me to give: give
6 mais demain à cette heure, j’enverrai mes serviteurs vers toi, et ils fouilleront ta maison et les maisons de tes serviteurs, et ils mettront dans leurs mains tout ce qui est désirable à tes yeux, et l’emporteront.
for if: except like/as time tomorrow to send: depart [obj] servant/slave my to(wards) you and to search [obj] house: home your and [obj] house: home servant/slave your and to be all desire eye: appearance your to set: take in/on/with hand: themselves their and to take: take
7 Et le roi d’Israël appela tous les anciens du pays, et dit: Sachez, je vous prie, et voyez comment cet [homme] cherche du mal; car il a envoyé vers moi pour mes femmes, et pour mes fils, et pour mon argent, et pour mon or, et je ne lui ai [rien] refusé.
and to call: call to king Israel to/for all old: elder [the] land: country/planet and to say to know please and to see: see for distress: harm this to seek for to send: depart to(wards) me to/for woman: wife my and to/for son: child my and to/for silver: money my and to/for gold my and not to withhold from him
8 Et tous les anciens et tout le peuple lui dirent: Ne l’écoute pas, et ne consens pas.
and to say to(wards) him all [the] old: elder and all [the] people not to hear: hear and not be willing
9 Et il dit aux messagers de Ben-Hadad: Dites au roi, mon seigneur: Tout ce que tu as demandé à ton serviteur la première fois, je le ferai; mais cette chose-ci, je ne puis la faire. Et les messagers s’en allèrent et lui rapportèrent cela.
and to say to/for messenger Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to say to/for lord my [the] king all which to send: depart to(wards) servant/slave your in/on/with first to make: do and [the] word: thing [the] this not be able to/for to make: do and to go: went [the] messenger and to return: return him word
10 Et Ben-Hadad envoya vers lui, et dit: Ainsi me fassent les dieux et ainsi ils y ajoutent, si la poussière de Samarie suffit pour [remplir] le creux des mains de tout le peuple qui me suit!
and to send: depart to(wards) him Ben-hadad Ben-hadad and to say thus to make: do [emph?] to/for me God and thus to add if to suffice dust Samaria to/for handful to/for all [the] people which in/on/with foot my
11 Et le roi d’Israël répondit et dit: Dites-lui: Que celui qui se ceint ne se vante pas comme celui qui délie [sa ceinture].
and to answer king Israel and to say to speak: speak not to boast: boast to gird like/as to open
12 Et il arriva que, lorsque [Ben-Hadad] entendit cette parole (il était à boire, lui et les rois, dans les tentes) il dit à ses serviteurs: Placez-vous. Et ils se rangèrent contre la ville.
and to be like/as to hear: hear [obj] [the] word [the] this and he/she/it to drink he/she/it and [the] king in/on/with booth and to say to(wards) servant/slave his to set: take and to set: take upon [the] city
13 Et voici, un prophète s’approcha d’Achab, roi d’Israël, et dit: Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Vois-tu toute cette grande multitude? Voici, je l’ai livrée aujourd’hui en ta main, et tu sauras que moi, je suis l’Éternel.
and behold prophet one to approach: approach to(wards) Ahab king Israel and to say thus to say LORD to see: see [obj] all [the] crowd [the] great: large [the] this look! I to give: give him in/on/with hand: power your [the] day: today and to know for I LORD
14 Et Achab dit: Par qui? Et il dit: Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Par les serviteurs des chefs des provinces. Et il dit: Qui engagera le combat? Et il dit: Toi.
and to say Ahab in/on/with who? and to say thus to say LORD in/on/with youth ruler [the] province and to say who? to bind [the] battle and to say you(m. s.)
15 Et il dénombra les serviteurs des chefs des provinces; et ils étaient 232; et après eux, il dénombra tout le peuple, tous les fils d’Israël, 7 000 [hommes].
and to reckon: list [obj] youth ruler [the] province and to be hundred two and thirty and after them to reckon: list [obj] all [the] people all son: descendant/people Israel seven thousand
16 Et ils sortirent à midi; et Ben-Hadad buvait, s’enivrant dans les tentes, lui et les rois, 32 rois qui l’aidaient.
and to come out: come in/on/with midday and Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to drink drunken in/on/with booth he/she/it and [the] king thirty and two king to help [obj] him
17 Et les serviteurs des chefs des provinces sortirent les premiers. Et Ben-Hadad envoya, et on lui rapporta, disant: Des hommes sont sortis de Samarie.
and to come out: come youth ruler [the] province in/on/with first and to send: depart Ben-hadad Ben-hadad and to tell to/for him to/for to say human to come out: come from Samaria
18 Et il dit: S’ils sont sortis pour la paix, saisissez-les vivants; et s’ils sont sortis pour la guerre, saisissez-les vivants.
and to say if to/for peace to come out: come to capture them alive and if to/for battle to come out: come alive to capture them
19 Et ces serviteurs des chefs des provinces sortirent de la ville, ainsi que l’armée qui les suivait.
and these to come out: come from [the] city youth ruler [the] province and [the] strength: soldiers which after them
20 Et ils frappèrent chacun son homme, et les Syriens s’enfuirent; et Israël les poursuivit; et Ben-Hadad, roi de Syrie, échappa sur un cheval, avec des cavaliers.
and to smite man: anyone man his and to flee Syria and to pursue them Israel and to escape Ben-hadad Ben-hadad king Syria upon horse and horseman
21 Et le roi d’Israël sortit et frappa les chevaux et les chars, et il infligea aux Syriens une grande défaite.
and to come out: come king Israel and to smite [obj] [the] horse and [obj] [the] chariot and to smite in/on/with Syria wound great: large
22 Et le prophète s’approcha du roi d’Israël, et lui dit: Va, fortifie-toi, et sache et vois ce que tu dois faire; car au retour de l’année le roi de Syrie montera contre toi.
and to approach: approach [the] prophet to(wards) king Israel and to say to/for him to go: come! to strengthen: strengthen and to know and to see: examine [obj] which to make: do for to/for turn [the] year king Syria to ascend: rise upon you
23 Et les serviteurs du roi de Syrie lui dirent: Leurs dieux sont des dieux de montagnes; c’est pourquoi ils ont été plus forts que nous; mais si nous les combattons dans la plaine, certainement nous serons plus forts qu’eux.
and servant/slave king Syria to say to(wards) him God mountain: mount God their upon so to strengthen: strengthen from us and but to fight with them in/on/with plain if: surely yes not to strengthen: strengthen from them
24 Et fais ceci: ôte les rois chacun de sa place, et mets en leur lieu des capitaines;
and [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this to make: do to turn aside: remove [the] king man: anyone from place his and to set: put governor underneath: instead them
25 et toi, dénombre-toi une armée comme l’armée que tu as perdue, et cheval pour cheval, et char pour char, et nous nous battrons avec eux dans la plaine: certainement nous serons plus forts qu’eux. Et il écouta leur voix, et fit ainsi.
and you(m. s.) to count to/for you strength: soldiers like/as strength: soldiers [the] to fall: fall from [obj] you and horse like/as horse and chariot like/as chariot and to fight [obj] them in/on/with plain if: surely yes not to strengthen: strengthen from them and to hear: hear to/for voice their and to make: do so
26 Et il arriva, qu’au retour de l’année, Ben-Hadad dénombra les Syriens, et monta à Aphek pour faire la guerre contre Israël.
and to be to/for turn [the] year and to reckon: list Ben-hadad Ben-hadad [obj] Syria and to ascend: rise Aphek [to] to/for battle with Israel
27 Et les fils d’Israël furent dénombrés et approvisionnés; et les fils d’Israël allèrent à leur rencontre, et ils campèrent vis-à-vis d’eux, comme deux petits troupeaux de chèvres, et les Syriens remplissaient le pays.

28 Et l’homme de Dieu s’approcha, et parla au roi d’Israël et dit: Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Parce que les Syriens ont dit: L’Éternel est un dieu de montagnes, et pas un dieu de plaines, je livrerai toute cette grande multitude en ta main; et vous saurez que je suis l’Éternel.

29 Et ils campèrent, ceux-ci vis-à-vis de ceux-là, sept jours; et il arriva, le septième jour, que le combat se livra. Et les fils d’Israël frappèrent les Syriens, 100 000 hommes de pied, en un seul jour.
and to camp these before these seven day and to be in/on/with day [the] seventh and to present: come [the] battle and to smite son: descendant/people Israel [obj] Syria hundred thousand on foot in/on/with day one
30 Et le reste s’enfuit à Aphek, dans la ville, et la muraille tomba sur 27 000 hommes de ceux qui restaient. Et Ben-Hadad s’enfuit et entra dans la ville, d’une chambre dans l’autre.
and to flee [the] to remain Aphek [to] to(wards) [the] city and to fall: fall [the] wall upon twenty and seven thousand man [the] to remain and Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to flee and to come (in): come to(wards) [the] city chamber in/on/with chamber
31 Et ses serviteurs lui dirent: Voici, nous avons entendu dire que les rois de la maison d’Israël sont des rois [doux et] cléments; mettons, je te prie, des sacs sur nos reins et des cordes à nos têtes, et sortons vers le roi d’Israël: peut-être qu’il laissera vivre ton âme.
and to say to(wards) him servant/slave his behold please to hear: hear for king house: household Israel for king kindness they(masc.) to set: put please sackcloth in/on/with loin our and cord in/on/with head our and to come out: come to(wards) king Israel perhaps to live [obj] soul: life your
32 Et ils ceignirent de sacs leurs reins et [mirent] des cordes à leurs têtes, et s’en vinrent vers le roi d’Israël. Et ils dirent: Ton serviteur Ben-Hadad dit: Je te prie, laisse vivre mon âme. Et il dit: Vit-il encore? Il est mon frère.
and to gird sackcloth in/on/with loin their and cord in/on/with head their and to come (in): come to(wards) king Israel and to say servant/slave your Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to say to live please soul: life my and to say still he alive brother: compatriot my he/she/it
33 Et les hommes en augurèrent [du bien], et se hâtèrent de saisir ce qui venait de lui; et ils dirent: Ton frère Ben-Hadad… Et il dit: Allez, amenez-le. Et Ben-Hadad sortit vers lui, et il le fit monter sur son char.
and [the] human to divine and to hasten and to catch from him and to say brother: compatriot your Ben-hadad Ben-hadad and to say to come (in): come to take: bring him and to come out: come to(wards) him Ben-hadad Ben-hadad and to ascend: rise him upon [the] chariot
34 Et [Ben-Hadad] lui dit: Les villes que mon père a prises à ton père, je les rends, et tu feras pour toi des rues à Damas, comme mon père en a fait à Samarie. Et moi, [dit Achab], je te renverrai avec cette alliance. Et il fit alliance avec lui, et le renvoya.
and to say to(wards) him [the] city which to take: take father my from with father your to return: rescue and outside to set: make to/for you in/on/with Damascus like/as as which to set: make father my in/on/with Samaria and I in/on/with covenant to send: let go you and to cut: make(covenant) to/for him covenant and to send: let go him
35 Et un homme d’entre les fils des prophètes dit à son compagnon, par la parole de l’Éternel: Frappe-moi, je te prie. Et l’homme refusa de le frapper.
and man one from son: child [the] prophet to say to(wards) neighbor his in/on/with word LORD to smite me please and to refuse [the] man to/for to smite him
36 Et il lui dit: Parce que tu n’as pas écouté la voix de l’Éternel, voici, quand tu sortiras d’auprès de moi, le lion te tuera. Et il sortit d’auprès de lui, et le lion le trouva, et le tua.
and to say to/for him because which not to hear: obey in/on/with voice LORD look! you to go: went from with me and to smite you [the] lion and to go: went from beside him and to find him [the] lion and to smite him
37 Et il trouva un autre homme, et il dit: Frappe-moi, je te prie. Et l’homme le frappa fort, et le blessa.
and to find man another and to say to smite me please and to smite him [the] man to smite and to wound
38 Et le prophète s’en alla, et se tint sur le chemin du roi, et se déguisa avec un bandeau sur les yeux.
and to go: went [the] prophet and to stand: stand to/for king (upon *LAB(H)*) [the] way: road and to search in/on/with bandage upon eye his
39 Et, comme le roi passait, il cria au roi, et dit: Ton serviteur était sorti au milieu de la bataille, et voici, un homme se détourna, et m’amena un homme, et dit: Garde cet homme; s’il vient à manquer, ta vie sera à la place de sa vie, ou tu me pèseras un talent d’argent.

40 Et, comme ton serviteur était occupé çà et là, l’homme a disparu. Et le roi d’Israël lui dit: Ainsi est ton jugement: tu en as décidé.
and to be servant/slave your to make: do here/thus and here/thus and he/she/it nothing he and to say to(wards) him king Israel so justice: judgement your you(m. s.) to decide
41 Et il ôta avec hâte le bandeau de dessus ses yeux, et le roi d’Israël le reconnut pour l’un des prophètes.
and to hasten and to turn aside: remove [obj] [the] bandage (from upon *Q(k)*) eye his and to recognize [obj] him king Israel for from [the] prophet he/she/it
42 Et il lui dit: Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Parce que tu as laissé aller d’entre tes mains l’homme que j’avais voué à la destruction, ta vie sera pour sa vie, et ton peuple pour son peuple.
and to say to(wards) him thus to say LORD because to send: let go [obj] man devoted thing my from hand: power and to be soul: life your underneath: instead soul: life his and people your underneath: instead people his
43 Et le roi d’Israël alla en sa maison, triste et irrité, et il vint à Samarie.
and to go: went king Israel upon house: palace his stubborn and vexed and to come (in): come Samaria [to]
