1 Chroniques 24
1 Et quant aux fils d’Aaron, [voici] leurs classes: Fils d’Aaron: Nadab et Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.
These are also the diuisions of the sonnes of Aaron: The sonnes of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 Et Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, et n’eurent point de fils. Et Éléazar et Ithamar exercèrent la sacrificature.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the Priestes office.
3 Et Tsadok, des fils d’Éléazar, et Akhimélec, des fils d’Ithamar, David les distribua en classes, selon leur office dans leur service:
And Dauid distributed them, euen Zadok of the sonnes of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sonnes of Ithamar according to their offices in their ministration.
4 et des fils d’Éléazar on trouva un plus grand nombre de chefs de famille que des fils d’Ithamar, et on les distribua en classes: des fils d’Éléazar, 16 chefs de maisons de pères; et des fils d’Ithamar, huit, selon leurs maisons de pères.
And there were found more of the sonnes of Eleazar by the number of men, then of the sonnes of Ithamar. and they deuided them, to wit, among the sonnes of Eleazar, sixteene heads, according to the houshould of their fathers, and among ye sonnes of Ithamar, according to the housholde of their fathers, eight.
5 Et on les distribua en classes par le sort, les uns avec les autres; car les chefs du lieu saint et les chefs de Dieu furent d’entre les fils d’Éléazar et parmi les fils d’Ithamar.
Thus they distributed them by lot the one from the other, and so the rulers of the Sanctuarie and the rulers of the house of God were of the sonnes of Eleazar and of the sonnes of Ithamar.
6 Et Shemahia, fils de Nethaneël, le scribe, d’entre les Lévites, les inscrivit en la présence du roi, et des chefs, et de Tsadok, le sacrificateur, et d’Akhimélec, fils d’Abiathar, et des chefs des pères des sacrificateurs et des Lévites: une maison de père était tirée pour Éléazar, et une était tirée pour Ithamar.
And Shemaiah the sonne of Nethaneel the scribe of the Leuites, wrote them before ye King and the princes, and Zadok the Priest, and Ahimelech the sonne of Abiathar, and before ye chiefe fathers of the Priests and of the Leuites, one familie being reserued for Eleazar, and another reserued for Ithamar.
7 Et le premier sort échut à Jehoïarib; le second, à Jedahia;
And the first lot fell to Iehoiarib, and the second to Iedaiah,
8 le troisième, à Harim; le quatrième, à Seorim;
The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 le cinquième, à Malkija; le sixième, à Mijamin;
The fifth to Malchiiah, the sixt to Miiamin,
10 le septième, à Kots; le huitième, à Abija;
The seuenth to Hakkoz, the eight to Abiiah,
11 le neuvième, à Jéshua; le dixième, à Shecania;
The ninth to Ieshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 le onzième, à Éliashib; le douzième, à Jakim;
The eleuenth to Eliashib, the twelft to Iakim,
13 le treizième, à Huppa; le quatorzième, à Jéshébeab;
The thirteenth to Huppa, the fouretenth to Ieshebeab,
14 le quinzième, à Bilga; le seizième, à Immer;
The fiftenth to Bilgah, the sixtenth to Immer,
15 le dix-septième, à Hézir; le dix-huitième, à Pitsets;
The seuententh to Hezir, the eightenth to Happizzer,
16 le dix-neuvième, à Pethakhia; le vingtième, à Ézéchiel;
The ninetenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Iehezekel,
17 le vingt et unième, à Jakin; le vingt-deuxième, à Gamul;
The one and twentie to Iachin, the two and twentie to Gamul,
18 le vingt-troisième, à Delaïa; le vingt-quatrième, à Maazia.
The three and twentie to Deliah, the foure and twentie to Maaziah.
19 Ce fut là leur distribution, pour leur service, pour entrer dans la maison de l’Éternel selon leur ordonnance [donnée] par Aaron, leur père, comme l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël, le lui avait commandé.
These were their orders according to their offices, when they entred into the house of the Lord according to their custome vnder the hande of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
20 Et quant au reste des fils de Lévi, [les voici]: Des fils d’Amram, Shubaël; des fils de Shubaël, Jekhdia.
And of the sonnes of Leui that remained of the sonnes of Amram, was Shubael, of the sonnes of Shubael, Iedeiah,
21 De Rekhabia: des fils de Rekhabia, Jishija était le chef.
Of Rehabiah. euen of the sonnes of Rehabiah, the first Isshiiah,
22 Des Jitseharites, Shelomoth; des fils de Shelomoth, Jakhath.
Of Izhari, Shelomoth, of the sonnes of Shelomoth, Iahath,
23 Et les fils de [Hébron]: Jerija; Amaria, le second; Jakhaziel, le troisième; Jekamham, le quatrième.
And his sonnes Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the thirde, and Iekameam the fourth,
24 Les fils d’Uziel, Michée; des fils de Michée, Shamir;
The sonne of Vzziel was Michah, ye sonne of Michah was Shamir,
25 le frère de Michée était Jishija; des fils de Jishija, Zacharie.
The brother of Michah was Isshiiah, the sonne of Isshiiah, Zechariah,
26 Les fils de Merari, Makhli et Mushi; les fils de Jaazija, son fils;
The sonnes of Merari, were Mahli and Mushi, the sonne of Iaaziiah was Beno,
27 les fils de Merari, de Jaazija, son fils: Shoham, et Zaccur, et Ibri;
The sonnes of Merari of Iahaziah were Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur and Ibri.
28 de Makhli, Éléazar, et il n’eut point de fils;
Of Mahli came Eleazar, which had no sonnes.
29 de Kis, les fils de Kis, Jerakhmeël;
Of Kish. the sonne of Kish was Ierahmeel,
30 et les fils de Mushi: Makhli, et Éder, et Jerimoth. Ce sont là les fils des Lévites, selon leurs maisons de pères.
And the sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth: these were sonnes of the Leuites after the houshold of their fathers.
31 Et eux aussi, comme leurs frères, les fils d’Aaron, tirèrent au sort devant le roi David, et Tsadok, et Akhimélec, et les chefs des pères des sacrificateurs et des Lévites, les chefs des pères comme le plus petit d’entre leurs frères.
And these also cast lots with their brethren the sonnes of Aaron before King Dauid, and Zadok and Ahimelech and the chiefe fathers of the Priests, and of the Leuites, euen the chiefe of the families against their yonger brethren.
