Zacharie 1
1 Le huitième mois, en la deuxième année de Darius, la parole de Yahweh fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Barachie, petit- fils d’Addo, le prophète, en ces termes:
In the eight moneth of the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto Zechariah the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Iddo, the Prophet, saying,
2 Yahweh a été dans un grand courroux contre vos pères.
The Lord hath bene sore displeased with your fathers.
3 Et tu leur diras: Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées: Revenez à moi, – oracle de Yahweh des armées, et je reviendrai à vous, – dit Yahweh des armées.
Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne ye vnto me, saith the Lord of hostes, and I will turne vnto you, saith the Lord of hostes.
4 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères, auxquels ont prêché les premiers prophètes en disant: « Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées: Revenez donc de vos mauvaises voies, et de vos mauvaises actions! « et qui n’ont pas écouté et ne m’ont pas prêté attention, – oracle de Yahweh.
Be ye not as your fathers, vnto whome the former prophets haue cried, saying, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne you nowe from your euill wayes, and from your wicked workes: but they would not heare, nor hearken vnto me, saith the Lord.
5 Vos pères, où sont-ils? Et les prophètes, pouvaient-ils vivre éternellement?
your fathers, where are they? and doe the Prophets liue for euer?
6 Mais mes paroles et mes décrets, dont j’avais chargé mes serviteurs les prophètes, n’ont-ils pas atteint vos pères, si bien qu’ils se sont convertis et ont dit: « Comme Yahweh des armées avait résolu d’agir à notre égard, selon nos voies et selon nos actions, ainsi il a agi envers nous. »
But did not my wordes and my statutes, which I commanded by my seruants ye Prophets, take holde of your fathers? and they returned, and sayd, As the Lord of hostes hath determined to doe vnto vs, according to our owne wayes, and according to our workes, so hath hee dealt with vs.
7 Le vingt-quatrième jour du onzième mois, qui est le mois de Sabath, en la deuxième année de Darius, la parole de Dieu fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Barachie, petit- fils d’Addo, le prophète, en ces termes:
Vpon the foure and twentieth day of the eleuenth moneth, which is the moneth Shebat, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto Zechariah the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Iddo the Prophet, saying,
8 J’ai eu une vision pendant la nuit: Voici qu’un homme était monté sur un cheval roux, et il se tenait entre des myrtes dans un lieu ombragé, et il y avait derrière lui des chevaux roux, alezans et blancs.
I saw by night, and behold a man riding vpon a red horse, and hee stood among the mirre trees, that were in a bottome, and behinde him were there red horses speckeled and white.
9 Je dis: « Que sont ceux-ci, mon seigneur? « Et l’ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: « Je te ferai voir ce que sont ceux-ci. »
Then sayd I, O my Lord, what are these? And the Angel that talked with me, sayde vnto me, I wil shew thee what these be.
10 Et l’homme qui se tenait entre les myrtes prit la parole et dit: « Ce sont ceux que Yahweh a envoyés pour parcourir la terre. »
And the man that stood among the mirre trees, answered, and sayd, These are they whome the Lord hath sent to go through the world.
11 Et ils répondirent à l’ange de Yahweh qui se tenait entre les myrtes, et ils dirent: « Nous avons parcouru la terre, et voici que toute la terre est habitée et tranquille. »
And they answered the Angel of the Lord, that stood among the mirre trees, and sayd, We haue gone thorowe the world: and beholde, all the world sitteth still, and is at rest.
12 L’ange de Yahweh prit la parole et dit: « Yahweh des armées, jusques à quand n’auras-tu pas pitié de Jérusalem et des villes de Juda contre lesquelles tu es irrité voilà soixante-dix ans? »
Then the Angel of the Lord answered and sayd, O Lord of hostes, howe long wilt thou be vnmercifull to Ierusalem, and to the cities of Iudah, with whom thou hast bene displeased now these threescore and ten yeeres?
13 Et Yahweh adressa à l’ange qui parlait avec moi de bonnes paroles, des paroles de consolation.
And the Lord answered the Angel that talked with me, with good wordes and comfortable wordes.
14 Et l’ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: « Proclame ceci: Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées: J’ai été animé d’une grande jalousie pour Jérusalem et pour Sion;
So the Angel that communed with me, said vnto me, Crie thou, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I am ielous ouer Ierusalem and Zion with a great zeale,
15 et je suis animé d’un grand courroux contre les nations qui vivent dans l’opulence! Car moi, j’étais un peu irrité; et elles ont, elles, travaillé à la ruine.
And am greatly angrie against the carelesse heathen: for I was angrie but a litle, and they helped forward the affliction.
16 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle Yahweh: Je reviens à Jérusalem avec compassion; ma maison y sera rebâtie, – oracle de Yahweh des armées, et le cordeau sera étendu sur Jérusalem.
Therefore thus saith the Lord, I wil returne vnto Ierusalem with tender mercie: mine house shall be builded in it, saith the Lord of hostes, and a line shall be stretched vpon Ierusalem.
17 Proclame encore ceci: Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées: Mes villes regorgeront encore de biens, et Yahweh consolera encore Sion, et choisira encore Jérusalem. »
Cry yet, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, My cities shall yet be broken with plentie: the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet chuse Ierusalem.
18 Je levai les yeux et je vis: Et voici quatre cornes.
Then lift I vp mine eyes and sawe, and beholde, foure hornes.
19 Et je dis à l’ange qui parlait avec moi: « Que sont celles-ci? « Il me dit: « Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, Israël et Jérusalem. »
And I said vnto the Angel that talked with me, What be these? And hee answered me, These are the hornes which haue scattered Iudah, Israel, and Ierusalem.
20 Et Yahweh me fit voir quatre forgerons.
And the Lord shewed me foure carpenters.
21 Et je dis: « Que viennent faire ceux-ci? « Il répondit en ces termes: « Ce sont là les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, au point que personne ne levait la tête, et ceux-ci sont venus pour les frapper de terreur, pour abattre les cornes des nations qui ont levé la corne contre le pays de Juda pour le disperser.
Then said I, What come these to doe? And he answered, and said, These are the hornes, which haue scattered Iudah, so that a man durst not lift vp his head: but these are come to fray them, and to cast out the hornes of the Gentiles, which lift vp their horne ouer the land of Iudah, to scatter it.
