Psaumes 72
1 De Salomon. Ô Dieu, donne tes jugements au roi, et ta justice au fils du roi.
God, give your mishpat ·justice· to the King Messiah [Anointed one]; and your righteousness to the Son of David [Beloved] the King.
2 Qu’il dirige ton peuple avec justice, et tes malheureux avec équité!
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor afflicted ones with right judgments.
3 Que les montagnes produisent la paix au peuple, ainsi que les collines, par la justice.
The mountains shall bring peace and prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
4 Qu’il fasse droit aux malheureux de son peuple, qu’il assiste les enfants du pauvre, et qu’il écrase l’oppresseur!
He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.
5 Qu’on te révère, tant que subsistera le soleil, tant que brillera la lune, d’âge en âge!
They shall fear you, the King Messiah [Anointed one], while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 Qu’il descende comme la pluie sur le gazon, comme les ondées qui arrosent la terre!
He will come down like rain on the cut grass of the earth, as showers that water the earth.
7 Qu’en ses jours le juste fleurisse, avec l’abondance de la paix, jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus de lune!
In his days, the upright shall be multiplied, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
8 Il dominera d’une mer à l’autre, du Fleuve aux extrémités de la terre.
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 Devant lui se prosterneront les habitants du désert, et ses ennemis mordront la poussière.
Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
10 Les rois de Tharsis et des îles paieront des tributs; les rois de Saba et de Méroé offriront des présents.
The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Tous les rois se prosterneront devant lui; toutes les nations le serviront.
Yes, all kings shall hawa ·bow low, prostrate· before him. All nations shall serve him.
12 Car il délivrera le pauvre qui crie vers lui, et le malheureux dépourvu de tout secours.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.
13 Il aura pitié du misérable et de l’indigent, et il sauvera la vie du pauvre.
He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
14 Il les affranchira de l’oppression et de la violence, et leur sang aura du prix à ses yeux.
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.
15 Ils vivront, et lui donneront de l’or de Saba; ils feront sans cesse des vœux pour lui, ils le béniront chaque jour.
They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long.
16 Que les blés abondent dans le pays, jusqu’au sommet des montagnes! Que leurs épis s’agitent comme les arbres du Liban! Que les hommes fleurissent dans la ville comme l’herbe des champs!
There shall be an abundance of corn throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field outside the city.
17 Que son nom dure à jamais! Tant que brillera le soleil, que son nom se propage! Qu’on cherche en lui la bénédiction! Que toutes les nations le proclament heureux!
His name endures forever. His name existed before the creation of the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
18 Béni soit Yahweh Dieu, le Dieu d’Israël, qui seul fait des prodiges!
Praise be to Adonai God, the God of Israel [God prevails], who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Béni soit à jamais son nom glorieux! Que toute la terre soit remplie de sa gloire! Amen! Amen!
Blessed be his kavod ·weighty glorious· name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his kavod ·weighty glory·! Amen v'Amen ·So be it and So be it·.
