Psaumes 22
1 Au maître de chant. Sur " Biche de l'aurore ". Psaume de David. Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m'as-tu abandonné? Je gémis, et le salut reste loin de moi!
To the chief music-maker on Aijeleth-hash-shahar. A Psalm. Of David. My God, my God, why are you turned away from me? why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my crying?
2 Mon Dieu, je crie pendant le jour, et tu ne réponds pas; la nuit, et je n'ai point de repos.
O my God, I make my cry in the day, and you give no answer; and in the night, and have no rest.
3 Pourtant tu es saint, tu habites parmi les hymnes d'Israël.
But you are holy, O you who are seated among the praises of Israel.
4 En toi se sont confiés nos pères; ils se sont confiés, et tu les as délivrés.
Our fathers had faith in you: they had faith and you were their saviour.
5 Ils ont crié vers toi, et ils ont été sauvés; ils se sont confiés en toi, et ils n'ont pas été confus.
They sent up their cry to you and were made free: they put their faith in you and were not put to shame.
6 Et moi, je suis un ver, et non un homme, l'opprobre des hommes et le rebut du peuple.
But I am a worm and not a man; cursed by men, and looked down on by the people.
7 Tous ceux qui me voient se moquent de moi; ils ouvrent les lèvres, ils branlent la tête:
I am laughed at by all those who see me: pushing out their lips and shaking their heads they say,
8 " Qu'il s'abandonne à Yahweh! Qu'il le sauve, qu'il le délivre, puisqu'il l'aime! "
He put his faith in the Lord; let the Lord be his saviour now: let the Lord be his saviour, because he had delight in him.
9 Oui, c'est toi qui m'as tiré du sein maternel, qui m'as donné confiance sur les mamelles de ma mère.
But it was you who took care of me from the day of my birth: you gave me faith even from my mother's breasts.
10 Dès ma naissance, je t'ai été abandonné; depuis le sein de ma mère, c'est toi qui es mon Dieu.
I was in your hands even before my birth; you are my God from the time when I was in my mother's body.
11 Ne t'éloigne pas de moi, car l'angoisse est proche, car personne ne vient à mon secours.
Be not far from me, for trouble is near; there is no one to give help.
12 Autour de moi sont de nombreux taureaux, les forts de Basan m'environnent.
A great herd of oxen is round me: I am shut in by the strong oxen of Bashan.
13 Ils ouvrent contre moi leur gueule, comme un lion qui déchire et rugit.
I saw their mouths wide open, like lions crying after food.
14 Je suis comme de l'eau qui s'écoule, et tous mes os sont disjoints; mon cœur est comme de la cire, il se fond dans mes entrailles.
I am flowing away like water, and all my bones are out of place: my heart is like wax, it has become soft in my body.
15 Ma force s'est desséchée comme un tesson d'argile, et ma langue s'attache à mon palais; tu me couches dans la poussière de la mort.
My throat is dry like a broken vessel; my tongue is fixed to the roof of my mouth, and the dust of death is on my lips.
16 Car des chiens m'environnent, une troupe de scélérats rôdent autour de moi; ils ont percé mes pieds et mes mains,
Dogs have come round me: I am shut in by the band of evil-doers; they made wounds in my hands and feet.
17 je pourrais compter tous mes os. Eux, ils m'observent, ils me contemplent;
I am able to see all my bones; their looks are fixed on me:
18 ils se partagent mes vêtements, ils tirent au sort ma tunique.
They make a division of my robes among them, by the decision of chance they take my clothing.
19 Et toi, Yahweh, ne t'éloigne pas! Toi qui es ma force, viens en hâte à mon secours!
Do not be far from me, O Lord: O my strength, come quickly to my help.
20 Délivre mon âme de l'épée, ma vie du pouvoir du chien!
Make my soul safe from the sword, my life from the power of the dog.
21 Sauve-moi de la gueule du lion, tire-moi des cornes du buffle!
Be my saviour from the lion's mouth; let me go free from the horns of the cruel oxen.
22 Alors j'annoncerai ton nom à mes frères, au milieu de l'assemblée je te louerai:
I will give the knowledge of your name to my brothers: I will give you praise among the people.
23 " Vous qui craignez Yahweh, louez-le! Vous tous, postérité de Jacob, glorifiez-le! Révérez-le, vous tous, postérité d'Israël!
You who have fear of the Lord, give him praise; all you seed of Jacob, give him glory; go in fear of him, all you seed of Israel.
24 Car il n'a pas méprisé, il n'a pas rejeté la souffrance de l'affligé, il n'a pas caché sa face devant lui, et quand l'affligé a crié vers lui, il a entendu. "
For he has not been unmoved by the pain of him who is troubled; or kept his face covered from him; but he has given an answer to his cry.
25 Grâce à toi, mon hymne retentira dans la grande assemblée, j'acquitterai mes vœux en présence de ceux qui te craignent.
My praise will be of you in the great meeting: I will make my offerings before his worshippers.
26 Les affligés mangeront et se rassasieront; ceux qui cherchent Yahweh le loueront. Que votre cœur revive à jamais!
The poor will have a feast of good things: those who make search for the Lord will give him praise: your heart will have life for ever.
27 Toutes les extrémités de la terre se souviendront et se tourneront vers Yahweh, et toutes les familles des nations se prosterneront devant sa face.
All the ends of the earth will keep it in mind and be turned to the Lord: all the families of the nations will give him worship.
28 Car à Yahweh appartient l'empire, il domine sur les nations.
For the kingdom is the Lord's; he is the ruler among the nations.
29 Les puissants de la terre mangeront et se prosterneront; devant lui s'inclineront tous ceux qui descendent à la poussière, ceux qui ne peuvent prolonger leur vie.
All the fat ones of the earth will give him worship; all those who go down to the dust will make themselves low before him, even he who has not enough for the life of his soul.
30 La postérité le servira; on parlera du Seigneur à la génération future.
A seed will be his servant; the doings of the Lord will be made clear to the generation which comes after.
31 Ils viendront et ils annonceront sa justice, au peuple qui naîtra, ils diront ce qu'il a fait.
They will come and make his righteousness clear to a people of the future because he has done this.
