Psaumes 16
1 Hymne de David. Garde-moi ô Dieu, car près de toi je me réfugie.
Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 Je dis à Yahweh: « Tu es mon Seigneur, toi seul es mon bien. »
[O my soul], thou hast said to the LORD, Thou [art] my LORD: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee;
3 Les saints qui sont dans le pays, ces illustres, sont l’objet de toute mon affection.
[But] to the saints that [are] in the earth, and [to] the excellent, in whom [is] all my delight.
4 On multiplie les idoles, on court après les dieux étrangers; je ne répandrai point leurs libations de sang, je ne mettrai pas leurs noms sur mes lèvres.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied [that] hasten [after] another [god]: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names into my lips.
5 Yahweh est la part de mon héritage et de ma coupe, c’est toi qui m’assures mon lot.
The LORD [is] the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 Le cordeau a mesuré pour moi une portion délicieuse; oui, un splendide héritage m’est échu.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant [places]; yes, I have a goodly heritage.
7 Je bénis Yahweh qui m’a conseillé; la nuit même, mes reins m’avertissent.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season.
8 Je mets Yahweh constamment sous mes yeux, car il est à ma droite: je ne chancellerai point.
I have set the LORD always before me: because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Aussi mon cœur est dans la joie, mon âme dans l’allégresse, mon corps lui-même repose en sécurité.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 Car tu ne livreras pas mon âme au schéol, tu ne permettras pas que celui qui t’aime voie la corruption. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
11 Tu me feras connaître le sentier de la vie; il y a plénitude de joie devant ta face, des délices éternelles dans ta droite.
Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fullness of joy; at thy right hand [are] pleasures for evermore.
