Psaumes 126

1 Cantique des montées. Quand Yahweh ramena les captifs de Sion, ce fut pour nous comme un songe.

[A Song of Ascents.] When the LORD brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.

2 Alors notre bouche fit entendre des cris joyeux, notre langue, des chants d'allégresse. Alors on répéta parmi les nations: « Yahweh a fait pour eux de grandes choses. »

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

3 Oui, Yahweh a fait pour nous de grandes choses; nous sommes dans la joie.

The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.

4 Yahweh, ramène nos captifs, comme tu fais couler les torrents dans le Négéb.

Restore our fortunes again, LORD, like the streams in the Negev.

5 Ceux qui sèment dans les larmes, moissonneront dans l'allégresse.

Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.

6 Ils vont, ils vont en pleurant, portant et jetant la semence; ils reviendront avec des cris de joie, portant les gerbes de leur moisson.

He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.
