Psaumes 116
1 Je l'aime, car Yahweh entend ma voix, mes supplications.
I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice [and] my supplications.
2 Car il a incliné vers moi son oreille, et toute ma vie, je l'invoquerai.
Because he hath inclined his ear to me, therefore will I call upon [him] as long as I live.
3 Les liens de la mort m'entouraient, et les angoisses du schéol m'avaient saisi; j'étais en proie à la détresse et à l'affliction. (Sheol h7585)
The sorrows of death encompassed me, and the pains of hell came upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
4 Et j'ai invoqué le nom de Yahweh: « Yahweh, sauve mon âme! »
Then I called upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5 Yahweh est miséricordieux et juste, notre Dieu est compatissant.
Gracious [is] the LORD, and righteous; yes, our God [is] merciful.
6 Yahweh garde les faibles; j'étais malheureux, et il m'a sauvé.
The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
7 Mon âme, retourne à ton repos; car Yahweh te comble de biens.
Return to thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Oui, tu as sauvé mon âme de la mort, mon œil des larmes, mes pieds de la chute.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, [and] my feet from falling.
9 Je marcherai encore devant Yahweh, dans la terre des vivants.
I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 J'ai confiance, alors même que je dis: « je suis malheureux à l'excès. »
I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
11 Je disais dans mon abattement: « Tout homme est menteur. »
I said in my haste, All men [are] liars.
12 Que rendrai-je à Yahweh pour tous ses bienfaits à mon égard!
What shall I render to the LORD [for] all his benefits towards me?
13 J'élèverai la coupe du salut, et j'invoquerai le nom de Yahweh.
I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
14 J'accomplirai mes vœux envers Yahweh en présence de tout son peuple.
I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
15 Elle a du prix aux yeux de Yahweh, la mort de ses fidèles.
Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.
16 Ah! Yahweh, parce que je suis ton serviteur, ton serviteur, fils de ta servante, tu as détaché mes liens.
O LORD, truly I [am] thy servant; I [am] thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17 Je t'offrirai un sacrifice d'actions de grâces, et j'invoquerai le nom de Yahweh.
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
18 J'accomplirai mes vœux envers Yahweh, en présence de tout son peuple,
I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all his people,
19 dans les parvis de la maison de Yahweh, dans ton enceinte, Jérusalem. Alleluia!
In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
