Psaumes 108

1 Cantique. Psaume de David. Mon cœur est affermi, ô Dieu, je chanterai et ferai retentir de joyeux instruments. Debout, ma gloire!

A Song [or] Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 Éveillez-vous, ma lyre et ma harpe! Que j'éveille l'aurore!

Awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.

3 Je te louerai parmi les peuples, Yahweh, je te chanterai parmi les nations.

I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises to thee among the nations.

4 Car ta bonté s'élève au-dessus des cieux, et ta fidélité jusqu'aux nues.

For thy mercy [is] great above the heavens: and thy truth [reacheth] to the clouds.

5 Élève-toi au-dessus des cieux, ô Dieu; que ta gloire brille sur toute la terre!

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

6 Afin que tes bien-aimés soient délivrés, sauve par ta droite et exauce-moi.

That thy beloved may be delivered: save [with] thy right hand, and answer me.

7 Dieu a parlé dans sa sainteté: " Je tressaillirai de joie! J'aurai Sichem en partage, je mesurerai la vallée de Succoth.

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

8 Galaad est à moi, à moi Manassé; Ephraïm est l'armure de ma tête, et Judas mon sceptre.

Gilead [is] mine; Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of my head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;

9 Moab est le bassin où je me lave; sur Edom je jette ma sandale; sur la terre des Philistins je pousse des cris de joie. "

Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 Qui me mènera à la ville forte! Qui me conduira à Edom?

Who will bring me into the strong city: who will lead me into Edom?

11 N'est-ce pas toi, ô Dieu, qui nous avais rejetés, ô Dieu qui ne sortais plus avec nos armées?

[Wilt] not [thou], O God, [who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?

12 Prête-nous ton secours contre l'oppresseur! Le secours de l'homme n'est que vanité.

Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

13 Avec Dieu nous accomplirons des exploits; il écrasera nos ennemis.

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.
