Marc 13
1 Comme Jésus sortait du temple, un de ses disciples lui dit: « Maître, voyez quelles pierres et quelles constructions! »
And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Master, behold what manner of stones and what buildings are here.
2 Jésus lui répondit: « Tu vois ces grandes constructions? Il n’y sera pas laissé pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée. »
And Jesus answering, said to him: Seest thou all these great buildings? There shall not be left a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.
3 Lorsqu’il se fut assis sur la montagne des Oliviers, en face du temple, Pierre, Jacques, Jean et André l’interrogèrent en particulier:
And as he sat on the mount of Olivet over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him apart:
4 « Dites-nous quand cela arrivera, et à quel signe on connaîtra que toutes ces choses seront près de s’accomplir? »
Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall begin to be fulfilled?
5 Jésus leur répondant, commença ce discours: « Prenez garde que nul ne vous séduise.
And Jesus answering, began to say to them, Take heed lest any man deceive you.
6 Car plusieurs viendront sous mon nom, disant: C’est moi le Christ; et ils en séduiront un grand nombre.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am he; and they shall deceive many.
7 Quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de bruits de guerres, ne vous troublez point; car il faut que ces choses arrivent: mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.
And when you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, fear ye not. For such things must needs be, but the end is not yet.
8 On verra se soulever peuple contre peuple, royaume contre royaume; il y aura des tremblements de terre en divers lieux; il y aura des famines. Ce sera le commencement des douleurs.
For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and famines. These things are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Prenez garde à vous-mêmes. On vous traduira devant les tribunaux et les synagogues; vous y serez battus; vous comparaîtrez devant les gouverneurs et les rois, à cause de moi, pour me rendre témoignage devant eux.
But look to yourselves. For they shall deliver you up to councils, and in the synagogues you shall be beaten, and you shall stand before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony unto them.
10 Il faut qu’auparavant l’Évangile soit prêché à toutes les nations.
And unto all nations the gospel must first be preached.
11 Lors donc qu’on vous emmènera pour vous faire comparaître, ne pensez point d’avance à ce que vous direz; mais dites ce qui vous sera donné à l’heure même; car ce n’est pas vous qui parlerez, mais l’Esprit-Saint.
And when they shall lead you and deliver you up, be not thoughtful beforehand what you shall speak; but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye. For it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12 Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son fils; les enfants s’élèveront contre leurs parents, et les mettront à mort.
And the brother shall betray his brother unto death, and the father his son; and children shall rise up against the parents, and shall work their death.
13 Et vous serez en haine à tous à cause de mon nom. Mais celui qui persévérera jusqu’à la fin sera sauvé.
And you shall be hated by all men for my name’s sake. But he that shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved.
14 Lorsque vous verrez l’abomination de la désolation établie où elle ne doit pas être, — que celui qui lit, comprenne! — alors que ceux qui seront en Judée s’enfuient dans les montagnes.
And when you shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not: he that readeth let him understand: then let them that are in Judea, flee unto the mountains:
15 Que celui qui sera sur le toit ne descende pas dans sa maison, et n’y entre pas pour prendre quelque objet.
And let him that is on the housetop, not go down into the house, nor enter therein to take any thing out of the house:
16 Et que celui qui sera allé dans son champ ne revienne pas pour prendre son manteau.
And let him that shall be in the field, not turn back to take up his garment.
17 Mais malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes, ou qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!
And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days.
18 Priez pour que ces choses n’arrivent pas en hiver.
But pray ye, that these things happen not in winter.
19 Car il y aura, en ces jours, des tribulations telles qu’il n’y en a point eu depuis le commencement du monde, que Dieu a créé, jusqu’à présent, et qu’il n’y en aura jamais.
For in those days shall be such tribulations, as were not from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, neither shall be.
20 Et si le Seigneur n’avait abrégé ces jours, nul homme ne serait sauvé; mais il les a abrégés à cause des élus qu’il a choisis.
And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect which he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
21 Si quelqu’un vous dit alors: Le Christ est ici, il est là, ne le croyez point.
And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; lo, he is here: do not believe.
22 Car il s’élèvera de faux christs et de faux prophètes, et ils feront des signes et des prodiges, jusqu’à séduire, s’il se pouvait, les élus mêmes.
For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, and they shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce (if it were possible) even the elect.
23 Pour vous, prenez garde! Voyez, je vous ai tout annoncé d’avance.
Take you heed therefore; behold I have foretold you all things.
24 Mais en ces jours-là, après cette tribulation, le soleil s’obscurcira, la lune ne donnera plus sa lumière,
But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.
25 les étoiles du ciel tomberont, et les puissances qui sont dans les cieux seront ébranlées.
And the stars of heaven shall be falling down, and the powers that are in heaven, shall be moved.
26 Alors on verra le Fils de l’homme venir dans les nuées avec une grande puissance et une grande gloire.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with great power and glory.
27 Et alors il enverra ses anges rassembler ses élus des quatre vents, de l’extrémité de la terre jusqu’à l’extrémité du ciel.
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28 Écoutez cette comparaison du figuier: Dès que ses rameaux sont tendres et qu’il pousse ses feuilles, vous savez que l’été est proche.
Now of the fig tree learn ye a parable. When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves are come forth, you know that summer is very near.
29 Ainsi, quand vous verrez ces choses arriver, sachez que le Fils de l’homme est proche, qu’il est à la porte.
So you also when you shall see these things come to pass, know ye that it is very nigh, even at the doors.
30 Je vous le dis en vérité, cette génération ne passera point que tout cela n’arrive.
Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass, until all these things be done.
31 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away.
32 Pour ce qui est de ce jour et de cette heure, nul ne les connaît, ni les anges dans le ciel, ni le Fils, mais le Père seul.
But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.
33 Prenez garde, veillez et priez; car vous ne savez pas quand ce sera le moment.
Take ye heed, watch and pray. For ye know not when the time is.
34 C’est ainsi qu’un homme, ayant laissé sa maison pour aller en voyage, après avoir remis l’autorité à ses serviteurs et assigné à chacun sa tâche, commande au portier de veiller.
Even as a man who going into a far country, left his house; and gave authority to his servants over every work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Veillez donc, car vous ne savez pas quand viendra le maître de la maison, le soir, ou au milieu de la nuit, ou au chant du coq, ou le matin;
Watch ye therefore, (for you know not when the lord of the house cometh: at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning, )
36 de peur que, survenant tout à coup, il ne vous trouve endormis.
Lest coming on a sudden, he find you sleeping.
37 Ce que je vous dis, je le dis à tous: Veillez! »
And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch.
