Marc 10
1 Etant parti de ce lieu, Jésus vint aux confins de la Judée, au delà du Jourdain; et le peuple s'assembla de nouveau près de lui, et, suivant sa coutume, il recommença à les enseigner.
AND arising, he went from thence into the coasts of Judea, through the country on the other side of the Jordan; and again the multitudes came together unto him; and as his custom was, he again taught them.
2 Les Pharisiens l'ayant abordé lui demandèrent s'il était permis à un mari de répudier sa femme: c'était pour le mettre à l'épreuve.
And the Pharisees coming to him, put a question to him, Is it lawful for a husband to put away his wife? tempting him.
3 Il leur répondit: " Que vous a ordonné Moïse? "
He answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 Ils dirent: " Moïse a permis de dresser un acte de divorce et de répudier. "
They said, Moses permitted to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away.
5 Jésus leur répondit: " C'est à cause de la dureté de votre cœur qu'il vous a donné cette loi.
Then Jesus answering said unto them, For the hardness of your hearts he wrote you that ordinance.
6 Mais au commencement de la création, Dieu les fit homme et femme.
But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female;
7 A cause de cela, l'homme quittera son père et sa mère, et s'attachera à sa femme,
and said, For this cause shall a man forsake father and mother, and shall adhere to his wife;
8 et les deux ne feront qu'une seule chair. " Ainsi ils ne sont plus deux, mais ils sont une seule chair.
and they two shall be one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.
9 Que l'homme donc ne sépare pas ce que Dieu a uni! "
What therefore God hath yoked together, let no man separate.
10 Lorsqu'ils furent dans la maison, ses disciples l'interrogèrent encore sur ce sujet,
And in the house the disciples again asked him of this matter.
11 et il leur dit: " Quiconque répudie sa femme et en épouse une autre, commet un adultère à l'égard de la première.
And he said unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her:
12 Et si une femme répudie son mari et en épouse un autre, elle se rend adultère. "
and if a wife put away her husband, and marrieth another, she committeth adultery.
13 On lui amena des petits enfants pour qu'il les touchât. Mais les disciples réprimandaient ceux qui les présentaient.
And they brought unto him little children, that he should touch them: but his disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 Jésus, à cette vue, fut indigné et leur dit: " Laissez les petits enfants venir à moi, et ne les en empêchez pas; car le royaume des cieux est à ceux qui leur ressemblent.
But when Jesus saw it, he felt indignation, and said to them, Permit little children to come to me, and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 Je vous le dis, en vérité, quiconque ne recevra pas comme un petit enfant le royaume de Dieu, n'y entrera point. "
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in nowise enter into it.
16 Puis il les embrassa, et les bénit en leur imposant les mains.
And he took them in his arms, and laying his hand upon them, gave them his benediction.
17 Comme il sortait pour se mettre en chemin, quelqu'un accourut, et se jetant à genoux devant lui, lui demanda: " Bon Maître, que dois-je faire pour avoir en héritage la vie éternelle? " (aiōnios g166)
And as he went out to the road, a person ran to him, and kneeling down, asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
18 Jésus lui dit: " Pourquoi m'appelles-tu bon? Il n'y a de bon que Dieu seul.
Then said Jesus unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, even God.
19 Tu connais les commandements: Ne commets point d'adultère, ne tue point, ne dérobe point, ne porte point de faux témoignage, abstiens-toi de toute fraude, honore ton père et ta mère. "
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery; Do not murder; Do not steal; Do not bear false witness; Honour thy father and mother.
20 Il lui répondit: " Maître, j'ai observé toutes ces choses dès ma jeunesse. "
Then he replying, said, Master, all these things have I observed from my youth.
21 Jésus, l'ayant regardé, l'aima et lui dit: " Il te manque une chose; va, vends tout ce que tu as, donne-le aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor dans le ciel; puis viens, et suis-moi. "
Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, In one thing thou art defective: go, sell all that thou hast, and give to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up thy cross, and follow me.
22 Mais lui, affligé de cette parole, s'en alla tout triste; car il avait de grands biens.
And groaning over this speech, he went away sorrowful: for he had many estates.
23 Et Jésus, jetant ses regards autour de lui, dit à ses disciples: " Qu'il est difficile à ceux qui ont les biens de ce monde d'entrer dans le royaume de Dieu! "
And Jesus looking round, said to his disciples, How difficultly shall they who have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 Comme les disciples étaient étonnés de ses paroles, Jésus reprit: " Mes petits enfants, qu'il est difficile à ceux qui se confient dans les richesses, d'entrer dans le royaume de Dieu!
Then his disciples were astonished at these words. But Jesus again addressing them, said unto them, Children, how difficult is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 Il est plus aisé à un chameau de passer par le trou d'une aiguille, qu'à un riche d'entrer dans le royaume de Dieu. "
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 Et ils étaient encore plus étonnés, et ils se disaient les uns aux autres: " Qui peut donc être sauvé? "
And they were exceedingly amazed, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27 Jésus les regarda, et dit: " Aux hommes cela est impossible, mais non à Dieu: car tout est possible à Dieu. "
And Jesus looking upon them, said, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
28 Alors Pierre, prenant la parole: " Voici, lui dit-il, que nous avons tout quitté pour vous suivre. "
And Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 Jésus répondit: " Je vous le dis en vérité, nul ne quittera sa maison, ou ses frères, ou ses sœurs, ou son père, ou sa mère, ou ses enfants, ou ses champs, à cause de moi et à cause de l'Evangile,
Then Jesus in reply said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man who hath left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and the Gospel’s,
31 Et plusieurs des derniers seront les premiers, et des premiers, les derniers. "
But many first, will be last; and the last, first.
32 Or, ils étaient en chemin pour monter à Jérusalem, et Jésus marchait devant eux; ils s'en étonnaient et ils le suivaient avec crainte. Jésus, de nouveau, prenant à part les Douze, se mit à leur dire ce qui devait lui arriver:
And they were on the road going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was advancing before them: and they were astonished; and followed him full of fear. And again taking the twelve aside, he began to tell them what things were about to befall him:
33 " Voici que nous montons à Jérusalem, et le Fils de l'homme sera livré aux Princes des prêtres et aux Scribes; ils le condamneront à mort et le livreront aux Gentils;
For, lo! said he, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests, and to the scribes; and they will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles:
34 on l'insultera, on crachera sur lui, on le flagellera et on le fera mourir, et, trois jours après, il ressuscitera. "
and they will insult him, and scourge him, and spit upon him, and kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
35 Jacques et Jean, fils de Zébédée, s'approchèrent de lui, disant: " Maître, nous désirons bien que vous fassiez pour nous ce que nous vous demanderons. —
And James and John the sons of Zebedee came to him, saying, Master, we desire that thou shouldst do for us whatsoever we request.
36 Que voulez-vous, leur dit-il, que je fasse pour vous? "
He said unto them, What will ye that I should do for you?
37 Ils dirent: " Accordez-nous d'être assis, l'un à votre droite, l'autre à votre gauche, dans votre gloire. "
They say unto him, Grant us to sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left, in thy glory.
38 Jésus leur dit: " Vous ne savez ce que vous demandez. Pouvez-vous boire le calice que je vais boire, ou être baptisés du baptême dont je vais être baptisé? "
Then Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup which I drink? and be baptised with the baptism with which I am baptised?
39 Ils répondirent: " Nous le pouvons. " Et Jésus leur dit: " Le calice que je vais boire, vous le boirez en effet, et vous serez baptisés du baptême dont je vais être baptisé;
And they said unto him, We are able. Then said Jesus unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup of which I drink; and be baptised with the baptism with which I am baptised:
40 mais d'être assis à ma droite ou à ma gauche, ce n'est pas à moi de l'accorder, si ce n'est à ceux à qui cela a été préparé. "
but to sit on my right-hand, and on my left, is not mine to give; but to those for whom it is prepared.
41 Ayant entendu cela, les dix autres s'indignèrent contre Jacques et Jean.
And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant against James and John.
42 Jésus les appela et leur dit: " Vous savez que ceux qui sont reconnus comme les chefs des nations leur commandent en maîtres, et que les grands exercent sur elles l'empire.
But Jesus called them, and said to them, Ye know that they who appear to rule over the Gentiles, lord it over them; and their great men exercise dominion over them.
43 Il n'en doit pas être ainsi parmi vous; mais quiconque veut être grand parmi vous se fera votre serviteur;
But it shall not be so with you: but whosoever will be great among you let him be your servant:
44 et quiconque veut être le premier parmi vous, se fera l'esclave de tous.
and whosoever will be first, let him be the servant of all.
45 Car le Fils de l'homme est venu, non pour être servi, mais pour servir et donner sa vie pour la rançon de la multitude. "
For the Son of man came not to be waited upon, but to be a servant, and to give his life a ransom for many.
46 Ils arrivèrent à Jéricho. Comme Jésus sortait de cette ville avec ses disciples et une assez grande foule, le fils de Timée, Bartimée l'aveugle, était assis sur le bord du chemin, demandant l'aumône.
And they came to Jericho. And as he was going out of Jericho with his disciples, and a great multitude, Bartimeus, the blind, the son of Timeus, sat by the road-side begging:
47 Ayant entendu dire que c'était Jésus de Nazareth, il se mit à crier: " Jésus, fils de David, ayez pitié de moi. "
and hearing that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, he began to cry out, and say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me!
48 Et plusieurs le gourmandaient pour le faire taire; mais lui criait beaucoup plus fort: " Fils de David, ayez pitié de moi. "
And many chid him, that he should be silent: but he cried out so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me!
49 Alors Jésus s'arrêta, et dit: " Appelez-le. " Et ils l'appelèrent en lui disant: " Aie confiance, lève-toi, il t'appelle. "
And Jesus stood still, and ordered him to be called: and they call the blind man, saying to him, Cheer up, arise; he calleth thee.
50 Celui-ci jetant son manteau, se leva d'un bond et vint vers Jésus.
Then casting off his cloak, he arose, and came to Jesus.
51 Jésus lui dit: " Que veux-tu que je te fasse? — L'aveugle répondit: Rabboni, que je voie. "
And Jesus addressing him, said, What dost thou wish that I should do for thee? And the blind man said to him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight!
52 Jésus lui dit: " Va, ta foi t'a sauvé. " Et aussitôt il vit, et il le suivait dans le chemin.
Then said Jesus unto him, Go thy way: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received sight, and followed Jesus in the road.
