Malachie 2
1 Maintenant donc, c'est pour vous qu'est ce décret, ô prêtres.
Now, therefore, for you, is this charge, O ye priests: —
2 Si vous n'écoutez pas et si vous ne prenez pas à cœur de donner gloire à mon nom, dit Yahweh des armées, j'enverrai contre vous la malédiction, et je maudirai vos bénédictions; — et déjà je les ai maudites, parce que vous n'avez pas pris à cœur! —
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my Name, saith Yahweh of hosts, then will I send among you the curse, and will curse your blessings, —and indeed I have cursed them, because ye are not at all laying it to heart.
3 Voici que je ferai manquer vos semences, je répandrai du fumier sur vos visages, le fumier de vos fêtes, et on vous emportera avec lui.
Behold me! threatening, on your account, the seed, and I will scatter refuse upon your faces, the refuse of your festivals, —and one shall carry you away unto it;
4 Vous saurez alors que je vous ai adressé ce décret, afin que mon alliance avec Lévi demeure, dit Yahweh des armées.
So shall ye know that I sent unto you this charge, —as being my covenant with Levi, saith Yahweh of hosts.
5 Mon alliance avec Lévi fut une alliance de vie et de paix, et je lui donnai ces biens; une alliance de crainte, et il me craignit et trembla devant mon nom.
My covenant, was with him, Life and Well-being, so I gave them to him—[I] as One to be revered— and he did revere me, — and, before my Name, dismayed, was he.
6 La loi de vérité était dans sa bouche, et il ne se trouvait pas d'iniquité sur ses lèvres; il marchait avec moi dans la paix et la droiture, et il détourna du mal un grand nombre d'hommes.
The deliverance of truth, was in his mouth, and, perverseness, was not found in his lips, — In well-doing and in uprightness, walked he with me, and, multitudes, did he turn from iniquity.
7 Car les lèvres du prêtre gardent la science, et de sa bouche on demande l'enseignement, parce qu'il est l'ange de Yahweh des armées.
For, the lips of a priest, should keep knowledge, and, a deliverance, should men seek at his mouth, — for, the messenger of Yahweh of hosts, he is.
8 Mais vous, vous vous êtes écartés de la voie; vous en avez fait trébucher un grand nombre dans la loi; vous avez perverti l'alliance de Lévi, dit Yahweh des armées.
But, ye, have departed out of the way, ye have caused multitudes to stumble at the deliverance, — ye have violated the covenant of Levi, saith Yahweh of hosts.
9 Et moi, à mon tour, je vous ai rendus méprisables et vils pour tout le peuple, parce que vous ne gardez pas mes voies et que vous avez égard aux personnes en appliquant la loi.
Therefore, I also, will suffer you to be despised and of no account unto all the people, —in proportion as none of you have been keeping my ways, but have had respect to persons, in giving your deliverance.
10 N'y a-t-il pas un même père pour nous tous? Un même Dieu ne nous a-t-il pas tous créés? Pourquoi sommes-nous infidèles l'un envers l'autre, profanant l'alliance de nos pères?
Is there not, one Father, to us all? Did not, one GOD, create us? Wherefore should we deal treacherously one with another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11 Juda est infidèle, et une abomination est commise en Israël et à Jérusalem; car Juda profane ce qui est consacré à Yahweh, ce que Yahweh aime; il épouse la fille d'un dieu étranger.
Judah, hath dealt treacherously, and, an abomination, hath been wrought in Israel, and in Jerusalem, — for Judah, had profaned, the holy place of Yahweh, which he had loved, and hath taken to himself the daughter of a foreign GOD.
12 Pour l'homme qui fait cela, que Yahweh retranche des tentes de Jacob celui qui veille et celui qui répond, et celui qui offre l'oblation à Yahweh des armées!
May Yahweh, cut off, from the man that doeth it—him that crieth out and him that answereth, out of the tents of Jacob, — him also that bringeth near a present to Yahweh of hosts.
13 Voici une seconde chose que vous faites: vous couvrez de larmes l'autel de Yahweh, vous le couvrez de pleurs et de gémissements, en sorte que Yahweh n'a plus égard à l'oblation, et qu'il ne reçoit plus de votre main une offrande agréable.
And, this, a second time, will ye do, covering with tears, the altar of Yahweh, weeping and making outcry, —because he will not again turn unto the gift, and receive [it] with acceptance, at your hands?
14 Et vous dites: " Pourquoi? " — Parce que Yahweh a été témoin entre toi et la femme de ta jeunesse, à laquelle tu as été infidèle, elle qui était ta compagne et la femme de ton alliance.
Yet ye say, For what cause? Because, Yahweh, hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, with whom, thou, hast dealt treacherously, though, she, was thy consort, and thy covenant wife.
15 Aucun n'a fait cela, ayant du reste de l'Esprit divin. — " Et que fit l'Un? " — Il cherchait une postérité divine. Prenez donc garde à votre vie, et que nul ne soit infidèle à la femme de sa jeunesse.
Now was it not, One, [who] made [you] who had, the residue of the spirit? What, then, of that One? He was seeking a godly seed. Therefore should ye take heed to your spirit, and, with the wife of thy youth, do not thou deal treacherously.
16 Car je hais la répudiation, dit Yahweh, le Dieu d'Israël; car c'est couvrir de violence son vêtement, dit Yahweh des armées. Prenez donc garde à votre vie et ne soyez pas infidèles.
For he hateth divorce, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, him also who covereth with violence his own clothing, saith Yahweh of hosts, —therefore should ye take heed to your spirit, and not deal treacherously.
17 Vous avez fatigué Yahweh par vos paroles. Et vous dites: " En quoi l'avons-nous fatigué? " — En disant: " Quiconque fait le mal est bon aux yeux de Yahweh, et en ces gens-là il prend plaisir! " Ou bien: " Où est le Dieu de la justice? "
Ye have wearied Yahweh with your words, and yet ye say, Wherein have we been wearisome? When ye have said, Everyone who doeth wrong, is right in the eyes of Yahweh, and, in them, he hath taken delight, or, Where is the God of justice?
