Lévitique 22
1 Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 " Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, afin qu'ils s'abstiennent des choses saintes que me consacrent les enfants d'Israël, et qu'ils ne profanent pas mon saint nom. Je suis Yahweh.
Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and let them take heed concerning the holy things of the children of Israel, so they shall not profane my holy name in any of the things which they consecrate to me: I [am] the Lord.
3 Dis-leur: Tout homme de votre race qui, dans toutes vos générations, ayant sur lui quelque impureté, s'approchera des choses saintes que les enfants d'Israël consacrent à Yahweh, sera retranché de devant moi. Je suis Yahweh.
Say to them, Every man throughout your generations, whoever of all your seed shall approach to the holy things, whatsoever the children of Israel shall consecrate to the Lord, while his uncleanness is upon him, that soul shall be cut off from me: I [am] the Lord your God.
4 Tout homme de la race d'Aaron qui aura la lèpre ou une gonorrhée, ne mangera pas des choses saintes, jusqu'à ce qu'il soit pur. Il en sera de même de celui qui aura touché une personne souillée par le contact d'un cadavre, de celui qui aura eu un épanchement séminal,
And the man of the seed of Aaron the priest, if he should have leprosy or issue of the reins, shall not eat of the holy things, until he be cleansed; and he that touches any uncleanness of a dead body, or the man whose seed of copulation shall have gone out from him,
5 de celui qui aura touché soit un animal rampant qui l'ait rendu impur, soit un homme impur qui lui ait communiqué sa souillure quelle qu'elle soit.
or whosoever shall touch any unclean reptile, which will defile him, or [who shall touch] a man, whereby he shall defile him according to all his uncleanness:
6 Celui qui touchera ces choses sera impur jusqu'au soir et il ne mangera pas des choses saintes; mais il baignera son corps dans l'eau
whatsoever soul shall touch them shall be unclean until evening; he shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his body in water,
7 et, après le coucher du soleil, il sera pur; il pourra manger alors des choses saintes, car c'est sa nourriture.
and the sun go down, and then he shall be clean; and then shall he eat of all the holy things, for they are his bread.
8 Il ne mangera pas d'une bête morte ou déchirée, de manière à être souillé par elle; je suis Yahweh.
He shall not eat that which dies of itself, or is taken of beasts, so that he should be polluted by them: I [am] the Lord.
9 Ils observeront mes commandements, de peur qu'ils ne se chargent d'un péché à ce sujet, et qu'ils ne meurent pour avoir profané les choses saintes. Je suis Yahweh, qui les sanctifie.
And they shall keep my ordinances, that they do not bear iniquity because of them, and die because of them, if they shall profane them: I [am] the Lord God that sanctifies them.
10 Aucun étranger ne mangera des choses saintes; celui qui demeure chez un prêtre et le mercenaire ne mangeront point des choses saintes.
And no stranger shall eat the holy things: one that sojourns with a priest, or a hireling, shall not eat the holy things.
11 Mais un esclave acquis par le prêtre à prix d'argent pourra en manger; il en est de même de celui qui est né dans sa maison: ils mangeront de sa nourriture.
But if a priest should have a soul purchased for money, he shall eat of his bread; and they that are born in his house, they also shall eat of his bread.
12 La fille d'un prêtre, mariée à un étranger, ne mangera pas de ce qui a été prélevé sur les choses saintes.
And if the daughter of a priest should marry a stranger, she shall not eat of the offerings of the sanctuary.
13 Mais si la fille d'un prêtre, devenue veuve ou répudiée, sans avoir d'enfants, retourne dans la maison de son père, comme elle y était dans sa jeunesse, elle pourra manger de la nourriture de son père; mais aucun étranger n'en mangera.
And if the daughter of priest should be a widow, or put away, and have no seed, she shall return to her father's house, as in her youth: she shall eat of her father's bread, but no stranger shall eat of it.
14 Si un homme mange par erreur d'une chose sainte, il restituera au prêtre la valeur de la chose sainte, en y ajoutant un cinquième.
And the man who shall ignorantly eat holy things, shall add the fifth part to it, and give the holy thing to the priest.
15 Les prêtres ne profaneront point les choses saintes des enfants d'Israël, ce qu'ils ont prélevé pour Yahweh,
And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer to the Lord.
16 et ne leur feront pas porter le poids de la faute qu'ils commettraient en mangeant leurs choses saintes; car je suis Yahweh, qui les sanctifie. "
So should they bring upon themselves the iniquity of trespass in their eating their holy things: for I [am] the Lord that sanctifies them.
17 Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
18 " Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, ainsi qu'à tous les enfants d'Israël; et dis-leur: Qui que ce soit de la maison d'Israël ou des étrangers en Israël qui présente son offrande, soit pour l'accomplissement d'un vœu, soit comme don volontaire, s'il l'offre à Yahweh en holocauste,
Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the congregation of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Any man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that abide among them in Israel, who shall offer his gifts according to all their confession and according to all their choice, whatsoever they may bring to the Lord for whole-burnt-offerings—
19 pour que vous soyez agréés, que la victime soit un mâle sans défaut, d'entre les bœufs, les brebis ou les chèvres.
your free-will-offerings [shall] be males without blemish of the herds, or of the sheep, or of the goats.
20 Vous n'en offrirez aucune qui ait un défaut, car elle ne serait pas agréée.
They shall not bring to the Lord anything that has a blemish in it, for it shall not be acceptable for you.
21 Quand un homme offre à Yahweh du gros ou du menu bétail en sacrifice pacifique, soit pour s'acquitter d'un vœu, soit comme offrande volontaire, la victime, pour être agréée, devra être parfaite; il n'y aura en elle aucun défaut.
And whatsoever man shall offer a peace-offering to the Lord, discharging a vow, or in the way of free-will-offering, or an offering in your feasts, of the herds or of the sheep, it shall be without blemish for acceptance: there shall be no blemish in it.
22 Un animal aveugle, estropié ou mutilé, ayant un ulcère, la gale ou une dartre, vous ne l'offrirez pas à Yahweh; vous n'en ferez point sur l'autel un sacrifice par le feu à Yahweh.
One that is blind, or broken, or has its tongue cut out, or is troubled with warts, or has a malignant ulcer, or tetters, they shall not offer these to the Lord; neither shall ye offer any of them for a burnt-offering on the altar of the Lord.
23 Tu pourras immoler comme offrande volontaire un bœuf ou une brebis ayant un membre trop long ou trop court; mais, pour l'accomplissement d'un vœu, cette victime ne serait pas agréée.
And a calf or a sheep with the ears cut off, or that has lost its tail, thou shalt slay them for thyself; but they shall not be accepted for thy vow.
24 Vous n'offrirez point à Yahweh un animal qui ait les testicules froissés, écrasés, arrachés ou coupés; vous ne ferez pas cela dans votre pays.
That which has broken testicles, or is crushed or gelt or mutilated, —thou shalt not offer them to the Lord, neither shall ye sacrifice them upon your land.
25 Même de la main d'un étranger, vous n'accepterez aucune de ces victimes pour l'offrir comme aliment de votre Dieu; car elles sont corrompues, il y a en elles un défaut: elles ne seraient pas agréées pour vous. "
Neither shall ye offer the gifts of your God of all these things by the hand of a stranger, because there is corruption in them, a blemish in them: these shall not be accepted for you.
26 Yahweh dit à Moïse:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
27 " Un bœuf, un agneau ou une chèvre, quand il naîtra, restera sept jours sous sa mère; à partir du huitième jour et les jours suivants, il sera agréé pour être offert en sacrifice fait par le feu à Yahweh.
As for a calf, or a sheep, or a goat, whenever it is born, then shall it be seven days under its mother; and on the eighth day and after they shall be accepted for sacrifices, a burnt-offering to the Lord.
28 Bœuf ou agneau, vous n'immolerez pas l'animal et son petit le même jour.
And a bullock and a ewe, it and its young, thou shalt not kill in one day.
29 Quand vous offrirez à Yahweh un sacrifice d'actions de grâces, vous l'offrirez de manière qu'il soit agréé;
And if thou shouldest offer a sacrifice, a vow of rejoicing to the Lord, ye shall offer it so as to be accepted for you.
30 pour cela, la victime sera mangée le même jour; vous n'en laisserez rien jusqu'au matin. Je suis Yahweh.
In that same day it shall be eaten; ye shall not leave of the flesh till the morrow: I am the Lord.
31 Vous observerez mes commandements et les mettrez en pratique: je suis Yahweh.
And ye shall keep my commandments and do them.
32 Vous ne profanerez pas mon saint nom, et je serai sanctifié au milieu des enfants d'Israël. Je suis Yahweh, qui vous sanctifie,
And ye shall not profane the name of the Holy One, and I will be sanctified in the midst of the children of Israel. I [am] the Lord that sanctifies you,
33 celui qui vous a fait sortir du pays d'Egypte, pour être votre Dieu. Je suis Yahweh. "
who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I [am] the Lord.
