Job 27
1 Job reprit son discours et dit:
Also Joob addide, takynge his parable, and seide,
2 Par le Dieu vivant qui me refuse justice, par le Tout-Puissant qui remplit mon âme d’amertume:
God lyueth, that hath take awey my doom, and Almyyti God, that hath brouyt my soule to bitternesse.
3 aussi longtemps que j’aurai la respiration, que le souffle de Dieu sera dans mes narines,
For as long as breeth is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nose thirlis,
4 mes lèvres ne prononceront rien d’inique, ma langue ne proférera pas le mensonge.
my lippis schulen not speke wickidnesse, nether my tunge schal thenke a leesyng.
5 Loin de moi la pensée de vous donner raison! Jusqu’à ce que j’expire, je défendrai mon innocence.
Fer be it fro me, that Y deme you iust; til Y faile, Y schal not go awei fro myn innocence.
6 J’ai entrepris ma justification, je ne l’abandonnerai pas; mon cœur ne condamne aucun de mes jours.
Y schal not forsake my iustifiyng, which Y bigan to holde; for myn herte repreueth me not in al my lijf.
7 Que mon ennemi soit traité comme le méchant! Que mon adversaire ait le sort de l’impie!
As my wickid enemy doth; myn aduersarie is as wickid.
8 Quel sera l’espoir de l’impie quand Dieu le retranchera, quand il retirera son âme?
For what is the hope of an ypocrite, if he rauyschith gredili, and God delyuerith not his soule?
9 Est-ce que Dieu écoutera ses cris, au jour où l’angoisse viendra sur lui?
Whether God schal here the cry of hym, whanne angwisch schal come on hym?
10 Trouve-t-il ses délices dans le Tout-Puissant? Adresse-t-il en tout temps ses prières à Dieu?
ether whether he may delite in Almyyti God, and inwardli clepe God in al tyme?
11 Je vous enseignerai la conduite de Dieu, et je ne vous cacherai pas les desseins du Tout-Puissant.
Y schal teche you bi the hond of God, what thingis Almyyti God hath; and Y schal not hide.
12 Voici que vous-mêmes, vous avez tous vu; pourquoi donc discourez-vous en vain?
Lo! alle ye knowen, and what speken ye veyn thingis with out cause?
13 Voici la part que Dieu réserve au méchant, l’héritage que les violents reçoivent du Tout-Puissant.
This is the part of a wickid man anentis God, and the eritage of violent men, ether rauenours, whiche thei schulen take of Almyyti God.
14 S’il a des fils en grand nombre, c’est pour le glaive; ses rejetons ne seront pas rassasiés de pain.
If hise children ben multiplied, thei schulen be slayn in swerd; and hise sones sones schulen not be fillid with breed.
15 Ses survivants seront ensevelis dans la mort, leurs veuves ne les pleureront pas.
Thei, that ben residue of hym, schulen be biried in perischyng; and the widewis of hym schulen not wepe.
16 S’il amasse l’argent comme la poussière, s’il entasse les vêtements comme la boue,
If he gaderith togidere siluer as erthe, and makith redi clothis as cley;
17 c’est lui qui entasse, mais c’est le juste qui les porte, c’est le juste qui hérite de ton argent.
sotheli he made redi, but a iust man schal be clothid in tho, and an innocent man schal departe the siluer.
18 Sa maison est comme celle que bâtit la teigne, comme la hutte que se construit le gardien des vignes.
As a mouyte he hath bildid his hous, and as a kepere he made a schadewyng place.
19 Le riche se couche, c’est pour la dernière fois; il ouvre les yeux, il n’est plus.
A riche man, whanne he schal die, schal bere no thing with hym; he schal opene hise iyen, and he schal fynde no thing.
20 Les terreurs fondent sur lui comme des eaux, un tourbillon l’enlève au milieu de la nuit.
Pouert as water schal take hym; and tempeste schal oppresse hym in the nyyt.
21 Le vent d’orient l’emporte, et il disparaît; il l’arrache violemment de sa demeure.
Brennynge wynd schal take hym, and schal do awei; and as a whirlewynd it schal rauysche hym fro his place.
22 Dieu lance sur lui ses traits sans pitié, il fuit éperdu loin de sa main;
He schal sende out turmentis on hym, and schal not spare; he fleynge schal `fle fro his hond.
23 on bat des mains à son sujet, de sa demeure on siffle sur lui.
He schal streyne hise hondis on him, and he schal hisse on hym, and schal biholde his place.
