Isaïe 62
1 À cause de Sion, je ne me tairai point, et à cause de Jérusalem je ne prendrai point de repos, jusqu’à ce que sa justice se lève comme l’aurore, et que son salut brille comme un flambeau.
For Zion's sake I am not silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I do not rest, Till her righteousness go out as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that burneth.
2 Les nations verront ta justice, et tous les rois ta gloire, et l’on t’appellera d’un nouveau nom, que la bouche de Yahweh choisira.
And nations have seen thy righteousness, And all kings thine honour, And He is giving to thee a new name, That the mouth of Jehovah doth define.
3 Tu seras une couronne d’honneur dans la main de Yahweh, une tiare royale dans la main de notre Dieu.
And thou hast been a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, And a diadem of royalty in the hand of thy God,
4 On ne te nommera plus Délaissée, et on ne nommera plus ta terre Désolation. Mais on t’appellera Mon-plaisir-en-elle, et ta terre Épousée. Car Yahweh mettra son plaisir en toi, et ta terre aura un époux.
It is not said of thee any more, 'Forsaken!' And of thy land it is not said any more, 'Desolate,' For to thee is cried, 'My delight [is] in her,' And to thy land, 'Married,' For Jehovah hath delighted in thee, And thy land is married.
5 Comme un jeune homme épouse une vierge, tes fils t’épouseront; et comme la fiancée fait la joie du fiancé, ainsi tu seras la joie de ton Dieu.
For a young man doth marry a virgin, Thy Builders do marry thee, With the joy of a bridegroom over a bride, Rejoice over thee doth thy God.
6 Sur tes murs, Jérusalem, j’ai placé des sentinelles; jamais ni le jour ni la nuit, elles ne se tairont. Ô vous qui faites souvenir Yahweh, ne prenez point de repos,
'On thy walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen, All the day, and all the night, Continually, they are not silent.' O ye remembrancers of Jehovah, Keep not silence for yourselves,
7 et ne lui laissez point de repos, jusqu’à ce qu’il rétablisse Jérusalem, et qu’il fasse d’elle la louange de la terre.
And give not silence to Him, Till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem A praise in the earth.
8 Yahweh l’a juré par sa droite, et par son bras puissant: Je ne donnerai plus ton froment en nourriture à tes ennemis, et les fils de l’étranger ne boiront plus ton vin, fruit de tes labeurs.
Sworn hath Jehovah by His right hand, Even by the arm of His strength: 'I give not thy corn any more [as] food for thine enemies, Nor do sons of a stranger drink thy new wine, For which thou hast laboured.
9 Mais ceux qui auront fait la moisson la mangeront, et ils loueront Yahweh; et ceux qui auront fait la vendange la boiront, dans les parvis de mon sanctuaire.
For, those gathering it do eat it, and have praised Jehovah, And those collecting it do drink it in My holy courts.'
10 Passez, passez par les portes; aplanissez le chemin du peuple. Frayez, frayez la route, ôtez-en les pierres; élevez un étendard sur les peuples.
Pass ye on, pass on through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, Raise up, raise up the highway, clear it from stones, Lift up an ensign over the peoples.
11 Voici ce que Yahweh a publié, jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre: Dites à la fille de Sion: « Voici que ton Sauveur vient; voici que sa récompense est avec lui, et ses rétributions le précèdent. »
Lo, Jehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth: 'Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo, thy salvation hath come,' Lo, his hire [is] with him, and his wage before him.
12 Et on les appellera Peuple saint, Rachetés de Yahweh; et toi, on t’appellera Recherchée, Ville-non-délaissée.
And they have cried to them, 'People of the Holy One, Redeemed of Jehovah,' Yea, to thee is called, 'Sought out one, a city not forsaken!'
