Osée 14
1 Reviens, Israël, à Yahweh, car tu es tombé par ton iniquité.
Israel, be thou conuertid to thi Lord God, for thou fellist doun in thi wickidnesse.
2 Prenez avec vous des paroles, et revenez à Yahweh; dites-lui: « Ôtez toute iniquité et prenez ce qui est bon! Que nous vous offrions, au lieu de taureaux, les paroles de nos lèvres.
Take ye wordis with you, and be ye conuertid to the Lord; and seie ye to hym, Do thou awei al wickidnesse, and take thou good; and we schulen yelde the caluys of oure lippis.
3 Assur ne nous sauvera pas, nous ne monterons pas sur des chevaux; et nous ne dirons plus: « Notre Dieu! » à l’œuvre de nos mains. Ô vous, en qui l’orphelin trouve compassion!
Assur schal not saue vs, we schulen not stie on hors; and we schulen no more seie, Oure goddis ben the werkis of oure hondis; for thou schalt haue merci on that modirles child, which is in thee.
4 Je guérirai leur infidélité, je les aimerai de bon cœur; car ma colère s’est retirée d’eux.
Y schal make hool the sorewis of hem; Y schal loue hem wilfuli, for my strong veniaunce is turned awei fro hem.
5 Je serai comme la rosée pour Israël; il croîtra comme le lis, il poussera ses racines comme le Liban.
Y schal be as a dew, and Israel schal buriowne as a lilie. And the root therof schal breke out as of the Liban;
6 Ses rejetons s’étendront, sa gloire sera comme celle de l’olivier, et son parfum comme celui du Liban.
the braunchis therof schulen go. And the glorye therof schal be as an olyue tree, and the odour therof schal be as of the Liban.
7 Ceux qui viendront se reposer à son ombre feront revivre le froment; ils croîtront comme la vigne; son nom sera comme le vin du Liban.
Thei schulen be conuertid, and sitte in the schadewe of hym; thei schulen lyue bi wheete, and schulen buriowne as a vyne. The memorial therof schal be as the wyne of Liban.
8 Éphraïm… qu’aurait-il encore à faire avec les idoles? C’est moi qui lui réponds, qui le regarde; je suis comme un cyprès verdoyant; c’est de moi que procède ton fruit.

9 Celui qui est sage, qu’il comprenne ces choses, celui qui est intelligent, qu’il les reconnaisse! Car les voies de Yahweh sont droites; les justes y marcheront, mais les rebelles y tomberont.
Who is wijs, and schal vndurstonde these thingis? who is vndurstondyng, and schal kunne these thingis? For the weies of the Lord ben riytful, and iust men schulen go in tho; but trespassours schulen falle in tho.
