1 Voici le livre de l’histoire d’Adam. Lorsque Dieu créa Adam, il le fit à la ressemblance de Dieu.
This is the booke of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created Adam, in the likenes of God made he him,
2 Il les créa mâle et femelle, et il les bénit, et il leur donna le nom d’Homme, lorsqu’ils furent créés.
Male and female created he them, and blessed them, and called their name Adam in the day that they were created.
3 Adam vécut cent trente ans, et il engendra un fils à sa ressemblance, selon son image, et il lui donna le nom de Seth.
Nowe Adam liued an hundred and thirtie yeeres, and begate a childe in his owne likenes after his image, and called his name Sheth.
4 Les jours d’Adam, après qu’il eut engendré Seth, furent de huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And the dayes of Adam, after he had begotten Sheth, were eight hundreth yeeres, and he begate sonnes and daughters.
5 Tout le temps qu’Adam vécut fut de neuf cent trente ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes that Adam liued, were nine hundreth and thirtie yeeres: and he died.
6 Seth vécut cent cinq ans, et il engendra Énos.
And Sheth liued an hundreth and fiue yeeres, and begate Enosh.
7 Après qu’il eut engendré Énos, Seth vécut huit cent sept ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And Sheth liued, after he begate Enosh, eight hundreth and seuen yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
8 Tout le temps que Seth vécut fut de neuf cent douze ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes of Sheth were nine hundreth and twelue yeeres: and he died.
9 Énos vécut quatre-vingt-dix ans, et il engendra Caïnan.
Also Enosh liued ninetie yeeres, and begate Kenan.
10 Après qu’il eut engendré Caïnan, Énos vécut huit cent quinze ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And Enosh liued, after he begate Kenan, eight hundreth and fifteene yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
11 Tout le temps qu’Énos vécut fut de neuf cent cinq ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes of Enosh were nine hundreth and fiue yeeres: and he died
12 Caïnan vécut soixante-dix ans, et il engendra Malaléel.
Likewise Kenan liued seuentie yeeres, and begate Mahalaleel.
13 Après qu’il eut engendré Malaléel, Caïnan vécut huit cent quarante ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And Kenan liued, after he begate Mahalaleel, eight hundreth and fourtie yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
14 Tout le temps que Caïnan vécut fut de neuf cent dix ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes of Kenan were nine hundreth and tenne yeeres: and he died.
15 Malaléel vécut soixante-cinq ans, et il engendra Jared.
Mahalaleel also liued sixtie and fiue yeres, and begate Iered.
16 Après qu’il eut engendré Jared, Malaléel vécut huit cent trente ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Also Mahalaleel liued, after he begate Iered, eight hundreth and thirtie yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
17 Tout le temps que Malaléel vécut fut de huit cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes of Mahalaleel were eight hundreth ninetie and fiue yeeres: and he died.
18 Jared vécut cent soixante-deux ans, et il engendra Hénoch.
And Iered liued an hundreth sixtie and two yeeres, and begate Henoch.
19 Après qu’il eut engendré Hénoch, Jared vécut huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Then Iered liued, after he begate Henoch, eight hundreth yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
20 Tout le temps que Jared vécut fut de neuf cent soixante-deux ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes of Iered were nine hundreth sixtie and two yeeres: and he died.
21 Hénoch vécut soixante-cinq ans, et il engendra Mathusalem.
Also Henoch liued sixtie and fiue yeeres, and begate Methushelah.
22 Après qu’il eut engendré Mathusalem, Hénoch marcha avec Dieu trois cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And Henoch walked with God, after he begate Methushelah, three hundreth yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
23 Tout le temps qu’Hénoch vécut fut de trois cent soixante-cinq ans.
So all the dayes of Henoch were three hundreth sixtie and fiue yeeres.
24 Hénoch marcha avec Dieu, et on ne le vit plus, car Dieu l’avait pris.
And Henoch walked with God, and he was no more seene: for God tooke him away.
25 Mathusalem vécut cent quatre-vingt-sept ans, et il engendra Lamech.
Methushelah also liued an hundreth eightie and seuen yeeres, and begate Lamech.
26 Après qu’il eut engendré Lamech, Mathusalem vécut sept cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And Methushelah liued, after he begate Lamech, seuen hundreth eightie and two yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
27 Tout le temps que Mathusalem vécut fut de neuf cent soixante-neuf ans, et il mourut.
So al the dayes of Methushelah were nine hundreth sixtie and nine yeeres: and he died.
28 Lamech vécut cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, et il engendra un fils.
Then Lamech liued an hundreth eightie and two yeeres, and begate a sonne,
29 Il lui donna le nom de Noé, en disant: « Celui-ci nous soulagera de nos fatigues et du travail pénible de nos mains, provenant de ce sol qu’a maudit Yahweh. »
And called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort vs concerning our worke and sorowe of our hands, as touching the earth, which the Lord hath cursed.
30 Après qu’il eut engendré Noé, Lamech vécut cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
And Lamech liued, after he begate Noah, fiue hundreth ninetie and fiue yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
31 Tout le temps que Lamech vécut fut de sept cent soixante-dix-sept ans, et il mourut.
So all the dayes of Lamech were seuen hundreth seuentie and seuen yeeres: and he died.
32 Noé, âgé de cinq cents ans, engendra Sem, Cham et Japheth.
And Noah was fiue hundreth yeere olde. And Noah begate Shem, Ham and Iapheth.
