Exode 11
1 Yahweh dit à Moïse: « Je ferai venir encore une seule plaie sur Pharaon et sur l’Égypte et, après cela, il vous laissera partir d’ici; et lorsqu’il vous laissera aller tout à fait, il vous chassera même d’ici.
And the Lord seide to Moises, Yit Y schal touche Farao and Egipt with o veniaunce, and after these thingis he schal delyuere you, and schal constreyne you to go out.
2 Parle donc au peuple pour que chaque homme demande à son voisin et chaque femme à sa voisine des objets d’argent et des objets d’or. »
Therfor thou schalt seie to al the puple, that a man axe of his freend, and a womman of hir neiyboresse, silueren vessels and goldun, and clothis;
3 Et Yahweh fit trouver faveur au peuple aux yeux des Égyptiens; Moïse lui-même était très considéré dans le pays d’Égypte aux yeux des serviteurs de Pharaon et aux yeux du peuple.
forsothe the Lord schal yyue grace to his puple bifor Egipcians. And Moises was a ful greet man in the lond of Egipt, bifore the seruauntis of Farao and al the puple;
4 Moïse dit: « Ainsi parle Yahweh: Au milieu de la nuit je passerai au travers de l’Égypte;
and he seide, The Lord seith these thingis, At mydnyyt Y schal entre in to Egipt;
5 et tout premier-né dans le pays d’Égypte mourra, depuis le premier-né de Pharaon assis sur son trône, jusqu’au premier-né de la servante qui est derrière la meule, et tout premier-né du bétail.
and ech firste gendrid thing in the lond of Egipcians schal die, fro the firste gendrid of Farao, that sittith in the trone of hym, til to the firste gendrid of the handmayde, which is at the querne; and alle the firste gendrid of beestis schulen die;
6 Il y aura dans tout le pays d’Égypte une grande clameur, telle qu’il n’y en a point eu et qu’il n’y en aura plus de semblable.
and greet cry schal be in al the lond of Egipt, which maner cry was not bifore, nether schal be aftirward.
7 Mais parmi tous les enfants d’Israël, personne, depuis les hommes jusqu’aux animaux, pas même un chien, ne remuera sa langue, afin que vous sachiez quelle différence Yahweh fait entre l’Égypte et Israël.
Forsothe at alle the children of Israel a dogge schal not make priuy noise, fro man til to beeste; that ye wite bi how greet myracle the Lord departith Egipcians and Israel.
8 Alors tous tes serviteurs qui sont ici descendront vers moi et se prosterneront devant moi, en disant: Sors, toi et tout le peuple qui est à ta suite! Après quoi, je sortirai. » Et Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon en grande colère.
And alle these thi seruauntis schulen come doun to me, and thei schulen preye me, and schulen seie, Go out thou, and al the puple which is suget to thee; aftir these thingis we schulen go out.
9 Yahweh dit à Moïse: « Pharaon ne vous écoutera point, afin que mes prodiges se multiplient dans le pays d’Égypte. »
And Moyses was ful wrooth, and yede out fro Farao. Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Farao schal not here you, that many signes be maad in the lond of Egipt.
10 Moïse et Aaron opérèrent tous ces prodiges devant Pharaon, et Yahweh endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, et il ne laissa point aller les enfants d’Israël hors de son pays.
Sotheli Moises and Aaron maden alle signes and wondris, that ben writun, bifor Farao; and the Lord made hard the herte of Farao, nether he delyuerede the sones of Israel fro his lond.
