Deutéronome 33
1 Voici la bénédiction dont Moïse, homme de Dieu, bénit les enfants d’Israël, avant de mourir.
This is the blessing, bi which Moises, the man of God, blesside the sones of Israel bifor his deeth;
2 Il dit: Yahweh est venu de Sinaï, il s’est levé pour eux de Séïr, il a resplendi de la montagne de Pharan, il est sorti du milieu des saintes myriades; de sa droite jaillissaient pour eux des jets de lumière,
and seide, The Lord cam fro Syna, and he roos to us fro Seir; he apperide fro the hil of Pharan, and thousandis of seyntis with hym; a lawe of fier in his riythond.
3 Il aime aussi les peuples; tous ses saints sont dans ta main, eux sont assis à tes pieds, et chacun recueille ta parole.
He louede puplis; alle seyntis ben in his hond, and thei that neiyen to hise feet schulen take of his doctryn.
4 Moïse nous a prescrit une loi, héritage de l’assemblée de Jacob.
Moisis comaundide lawe `to vs, eritage of the multitude of Jacob.
5 Il devint roi en Jésurun, lorsque s’assemblèrent les chefs du peuple, avec les tribus d’Israël.
And the king schal be at the moost riytful, whanne princes of the puple schulen be gaderid togidere with the lynagis of Israel.
6 Que Ruben vive et qu’il ne meure point, et que ses hommes ne soient pas réduits à un petit nombre!
Ruben lyue, and die not, and be he litil in noumbre.
7 Ceci est pour Juda; il dit: Écoute, ô Yahweh, la voix de Juda, et ramène-le vers son peuple. De son bras il combattra pour Israël, et tu lui viendras en aide contre ses ennemis.
This is the blessyng of Juda; Lord, here thou the vois of Juda, and brynge in hym to his puple; hise hondis schulen fiyte for hym, and the helpere of hym schal be ayens hise aduersaries.
8 Il dit pour Lévi: Ton Urim et ton Thummim sont confiés à ton homme saint, que tu as éprouvé à Massa, avec qui tu as contesté aux eaux de Mériba,
Also he seide to Leuy, Thi perfeccioun and thi techyng is of an hooly man, whom thou preuedist in temptacioun, and demedist at the Watris of Ayenseiynge;
9 qui a dit de son père et de sa mère: « Je ne les ai pas vus, » qui n’a pas reconnu ses frères, et ne sait rien de ses enfants. Car ils ont observé ta parole, et ils ont gardé ton alliance;
which Leuy seide to his fadir and to his modir, Y knowe not you, and to hise britheren, Y knowe not hem; and knewen not her sones. These kepten thi speche, and these kepten thi couenaunt; A!
10 ils enseignent tes ordonnances à Jacob, et ta loi à Israël; ils présentent l’encens à tes narines, et l’holocauste sur ton autel.
Jacob, thei kepten thi domes, and `thou, Israel, thei kepten thi lawe; thei schulen putte encense in thi strong veniaunce, and brent sacrifice on thin auter.
11 Bénis sa force, ô Yahweh; agrée l’œuvre de ses mains; brise les reins de ses adversaires, et de ceux qui le haïssent; qu’ils ne se relèvent plus!
Lord, blesse thou the strengthe of hym, and resseyue thou the werkis of his hondis; smyte thou the backis of hise enemyes, and thei that haten hym, rise not.
12 Il dit pour Benjamin: Bien-aimé de Yahweh, il habitera en sécurité auprès de lui. Yahweh le protège continuellement, entre ses épaules il repose.
And he seide to Benjamyn, The moost loued of the Lord schal dwelle tristili in hym, `that is, in the Lord; he schal dwelle al day as in a chaumbur, and he schal reste bitwixe the schuldris of hym.
13 Il dit pour Joseph: Béni de Yahweh est son pays; à lui le précieux don du ciel, la rosée, les eaux de l’abîme étendu en bas,
Also he seide to Joseph, `His lond is of the Lordis blessyng; of the applis of heuene, and of the dewe, and of watir liggynge bynethe;
14 les produits excellents que fait mûrir le soleil, les fruits excellents des mois,
of the applis of fruytis of the sunne and moone; of the coppe of elde munteyns,
15 les meilleurs produits des montagnes antiques, les dons excellents des collines éternelles,
and of the applis of euerlastynge litle hillis;
16 les dons excellents de la terre et de son abondance. Que la faveur de celui qui habita dans le buisson vienne sur la tête de Joseph, sur le haut de la tête du prince de ses frères!
and of the fruytis of the lond, and of the fulnesse therof. The blessyng of hym that apperide in the busch come on the heed of Joseph, and on the cop of Nazarey, `that is, hooli, among hise britheren.
17 À son taureau premier-né, à lui est la gloire; ses cornes sont les cornes du buffle; il en frappera tous les peuples ensemble, jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre. Telles sont les myriades d’Ephraïm, tels sont les milliers de Manassé.
As the first gendrid of a bole is the feirnesse of hym; the hornes of an vnicorn ben the hornes of hym; in tho he schal wyndewe folkis, `til to the termes of erthe. These ben the multitudis of Effraym, and these ben the thousyndis of Manasses.
18 Il dit pour Zabulon: Réjouis-toi, Zabulon, dans tes courses, et toi, Issachar, dans tes tentes!
And he seide to Zabulon, Zabulon, be thou glad in thi goyng out, and, Ysacar, in thi tabernaclis.
19 Ils appellent les peuples à venir sur la montagne; là, ils offriront des sacrifices de justice, car ils suceront l’abondance de la mer, et les richesses cachées dans le sable.
Thei schulen clepe puplis to the hil, there thei schulen offre sacrifices of riytfulnesse; whiche schulen souke the flowing of the see as mylk, and hid tresours of grauel.
20 Il dit pour Gad: Béni soit celui qui met Gad au large! Il est couché comme une lionne; il déchire le bras, même la tête.
And he seide to Gad, Gad is blessid in broodnesse; he restide as a lioun, and he took the arm and the nol.
21 Il s’est choisi les prémices du pays: car là était cachée une part de chef, et il a marché en tête du peuple, il a accompli la justice de Yahweh, et ses jugements avec Israël.
And he siy his prinshed, that `the techere was kept in his part; which Gad was with the princes of the puple, and dide the riytfulnesses of the Lord, and his doom with Israel.
22 Il dit pour Dan: Dan est un jeune lion, qui s’élance de Basan.
Also he seide to Dan, Dan, a whelp of a lioun, schal flowe largeli fro Basan.
23 Il dit pour Nephthali: Nephthali, rassasié de faveurs, et comblé des bénédictions de Yahweh, prend possession de la mer et du midi.
And he seide to Neptalym, Neptalym schal vse abundaunce, and he schal be ful with blessyngis of the Lord; and he schal welde the see and the south.
24 Il dit pour Aser: Béni soit Aser entre les fils de Jacob! Qu’il soit le favori de ses frères, et qu’il trempe son pied dans l’huile!
Also he seide to Aser, Aser, be blessid in sones, and plese he hise britheren; dippe he his foot in oile.
25 Que tes verrous soient de fer et d’airain, et que ton repos dure autant que tes jours!
Yrun and bras the scho of hym; as the dai of thi youthe so and thin eelde.
26 Nul, ô Jésurun, n’est semblable à Dieu, qui marche sur les cieux pour venir à ton secours, et, dans sa majesté, sur les nues.

27 C’est un refuge que le Dieu des temps antiques, il te soutient de ses bras éternels; il chasse devant toi l’ennemi, et il dit: « Détruis! »
His dwellynge place is aboue, and armes euerlastynge ben bynethe; he schal caste out fro thi face the enemy, and he schal seie, Be thou al to-brokun.
28 Israël habite en sécurité; la source de Jacob coule à part, dans un pays de blé et de vin, et son ciel distille la rosée.
Israel schal dwelle trustili and aloone; the iye of Jacob in the lond of whete, and of wyn; and heuenes schulen be derk with dew.
29 Heureux es-tu, Israël! Qui est, comme toi, un peuple sauvé par Yahweh, le bouclier de ton secours, et l’épée de ta gloire? Tes ennemis feindront devant toi, et toi, tu marcheras sur leurs hauteurs.
Blessed art thou, Israel; thou puple that art saued in the Lord, who is lijk thee? The scheld of thin help and the swerd of thi glorie is thi God; thin enemyes schulen denye thee, and thou schalt trede her neckis.
