Deutéronome 14
1 Vous êtes les enfants de Yahweh, votre Dieu. Vous ne vous ferez point d’incision et vous ne vous tondrez point une place entre les yeux pour un mort.
Be ye the sones of youre Lord God; ye schulen not kitte you, nether ye schulen make ballidnesse,
2 Car tu es un peuple saint à Yahweh, ton Dieu; et Yahweh t’a choisi pour lui être un peuple particulier entre tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre.
on a deed man, for thou art an hooli puple to thi Lord God, and he chees thee that thou be to hym in to a special puple, of alle folkis that ben on erthe.
3 Tu ne mangeras aucune chose abominable.
Ete ye not tho thingis that ben vncleene.
4 Voici les animaux dont vous mangerez: le bœuf, la brebis et la chèvre;
This is a beeste which ye schulen ete; an oxe, and a scheep, and a goet, an hert,
5 le cerf, la gazelle et le daim; le bouquetin, l’antilope, le bœuf sauvage et la chèvre sauvage.
a capret, a `wielde oxe, tregelafun, `that is, a beeste in parti lijk `a buk of geet, and in parti liik an hert, a figarde, an ostrich, a camelioun, `that is, a beeste lijk in the heed to a camel, and hath white spottis in the bodi as a parde, and `is lijk an hors in the necke, and in the feet is lijc a `wilde oxe, and a parde.
6 Vous mangerez de tout animal qui a la corne divisée et le pied fourchu, et qui rumine.
Ye schulen ete ech beeste that departith the clee `in to twei partis, and chewith code.
7 Mais vous ne mangerez pas de ceux qui ruminent seulement, ou qui ont seulement la corne divisée et le pied fourchu; tels sont le chameau, le lièvre et le lapin, qui ruminent, mais qui n’ont pas la corne divisée: ils seront impurs pour vous;
Sotheli ye schulen not ete these beestis, of these that chewen code, and departen not the clee; a camel, an hare, and a cirogrille, `that is, a beeste ful of prickis, and is more than an irchoun; for tho chewen code, and departen not the clee, tho schulen be vncleene to you;
8 tel est encore le porc, qui a la corne divisée, mais qui ne rumine pas: il sera impur pour vous. Vous ne mangerez pas de leur chair, et vous ne toucherez pas leurs corps morts.
also a swyn, for it departith the clee, and chewith not code, schal be vncleene; ye schulen not ete the fleischis of tho, and ye schulen not touche the deed bodies.
9 Voici les animaux que vous mangerez parmi tous ceux qui sont dans les eaux: vous mangerez de tout ce qui a nageoires et écailles;
Ye schulen ete these thingis, of alle that dwellen in watris; ete ye tho thingis that han fynnes and scalis;
10 mais tout ce qui n’a pas nageoires et écailles, vous ne le mangerez pas: ce sera impur pour vous.
ete ye not tho thingis that ben with out fynnes and scalis, for tho ben vncleene.
11 Vous mangerez tout oiseau pur.
Ete ye alle clene briddis;
12 Voici ceux dont vous ne mangerez pas: l’aigle, l’orfraie et le vautour;
ete ye not vncleene briddis, that is, an egle, and a gripe,
13 le faucon, le milan et toute espèce d’autours;
and an aliete, ixon, `that is, a whijt brid lesse than a vultur, and is of the `kynde of vultris, and a vultur, and a kite bi his kynde,
14 toute espèce de corbeaux;
and al thing of rauenys kynde,
15 l’autruche, le hibou, la mouette et toute espèce d’éperviers;
and a strucioun, and a nyyt crowe, and a lare,
16 le chat-huant, l’ibis et la chouette;
and an hauk bi his kynde, a fawcun,
17 le pélican, le cormoran et le plongeon;
and a swan, and a siconye, and a dippere, a pursirioun, and a reremous, a cormeraunt,
18 la cigogne et toute espèce de hérons; la huppe et la chauve-souris.
and a caladrie, alle in her kynde; also a lapwynke and a backe.
19 Vous regarderez comme impur tout insecte ailé: on n’en mangera pas.
And al thing that crepith, and hath fynnes, schal be vncleene, and schal not be etun.
20 Vous mangerez tout oiseau pur.
Ete ye al thing that is cleene; sotheli what euer thing is deed bi it silf, ete ye not therof.
21 Vous ne mangerez d’aucune bête morte. Tu la donneras à l’étranger qui est dans tes portes, pour qu’il la mange, ou tu la vendras à un étranger; car tu es un peuple saint à Yahweh, ton Dieu. Tu ne feras pas cuire un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
Yyue thou to the pilgrym which is with ynne thi yatis, that he ete, ether sille thou to hym, for thou art the hooli puple of thi Lord God. Thou schalt not sethe a kyde in `the mylk of his modir.
22 Tu lèveras la dîme de tout le produit de tes semailles, de ce que ton champ rapportera chaque année.
Thou schalt departe the tenthe part of alle thi fruytis that comen forth in the lond bi ech yeer;
23 Et tu mangeras devant Yahweh, ton Dieu, dans le lieu qu’il aura choisi pour y faire habiter son nom, la dîme de ton blé, de ton vin nouveau et de ton huile, ainsi que les premiers-nés de tes bœufs et de tes brebis, afin que tu apprennes à craindre Yahweh, ton Dieu, à jamais.
and thou schal ete in the siyt of thi Lord God, in the place which he chees, that his name be clepid therynne; thou schalt offre the tithe of thi wheete, wyn, and oile, and the firste gendryd thingis of thi droues, and scheep, that thou lerne to drede thi Lord God in al tyme.
24 Mais si le chemin est trop long pour toi, et que tu ne puisses l’ y transporter, parce que le lieu que Yahweh choisira pour y faire habiter son nom sera trop loin de toi, lorsque Yahweh, ton Dieu, t’aura béni:
Sotheli whanne the wei is lengere, and the place which thi Lord God chees is fer, and he hath blessid thee, and thou maist not bere alle these thingis to that place,
25 tu échangeras ta dîme pour de l’argent et, ayant serré l’argent dans ta main, tu iras au lieu que Yahweh, ton Dieu, aura choisi.
thou schalt sille alle thingis, and schalt turne in to prijs, and thou schalt bere in thin hond, and thou schalt go to the place which thi Lord God chees;
26 Là, tu achèteras avec l’argent tout ce que désirera ton âme, des bœufs, des brebis, du vin, des liqueurs fermentées, tout ce que demandera ton âme, et tu mangeras là devant Yahweh, ton Dieu, et tu te réjouiras, toi et ta maison.
and thou schalt bie of the same money what euer thing plesith to thee, ethir of droues, ether of scheep; also thou schalt bie wyn, and sidur, and al thing that thi soule desirith; and thou schalt ete bifor thi Lord God, and thou schalt make feeste,
27 Tu ne délaisseras pas le Lévite qui sera dans tes portes, car il n’a ni part ni héritage avec toi.
thou, and thin hows, and the dekene which is withynne thi yatis; be thou war lest thou forsake hym, for he hath not other part in possessioun.
28 À la fin de chaque troisième année, tu mettras à part toute la dîme de tes produits de cette année-là, et tu la déposeras dans tes portes.
In the thridde yeer thou schalt departe another dyme of alle thingis that growen to thee in that yeer, and thou schalt kepe withynne thi yatis.
29 Alors viendra le Lévite, qui n’a ni part ni héritage avec toi, ainsi que l’étranger, l’orphelin et la veuve, qui seront dans tes portes, et ils mangeront et se rassasieront, afin que Yahweh, ton Dieu, te bénisse dans toutes les œuvres que tu entreprendras de tes mains.
And the dekene schal come, whych hath noon other part nether possessioun with thee, and the pilgrym, and the fadirles, ether modirles child, and widue, that ben withynne thi yatis, `schulen come, and schulen ete, and be fillid, that thi Lord God blesse thee, in alle werkis of thin hondis whiche thou schalt do.
